[Q] Note 2 Gesture

I got the SGSN2 two days back, and the gesture way of taking screenshot seeing litle awkard. I tried waving my palm over the screen and sensor and it didnt capture. Went to the shop from where I got and they said to touch the screen and swipe. I did and lots of apps gets opened. Sometimes, my screen gets captured. I felt captuing from pressing Power + Home is good and using S Pen and taking screenshot. Anyone got any idea how to taking screenshot by waving of hand as shown in video witih ease?
I've had no issue with it. As long as you use the side of your hand, lay it flat on the screen, and swipe it works every time just fine. Are you using your whole palm?

+1, turn your hand on the side. Don't use your palm. Put it in the middle and swipe left or right. Done.
Oh and its not nesessary to use red letters. We can read white just fine.
It actually burns my eyes to read it in red....

Screen Sensitivity is low in some areas?

I have lower screen sensitivity in the bottom right corner where the letter L is and the Enter is. Sometimes it will take tree taps to get the letter l to show up on the screen while for everything else it works with barely touching it. Do you guys have this as well? Some people have reported this as well.
The weird thing is that when drawing, that part of the screen works just fine with finger or the s pen, its only noticeable when pressing...
Does anyone know how to calibrate the screen? It was in the setting before but now i can't find it.
I have noticed the same

I thought it was zagg HD screen protector but i guess its not. I would like to calibrate the screen but can't find this option on the Galaxy Note 2.
I think the screen protector is to blame !

Yes, in the right side loses some sensivity

I found out that it was due to the screen protector... I took it off and sensitivity is normal now

+1 with the letter "n" (but not right now for unknown reasons).
Anyone else want to remove their screen protector?

Yeah, same with mine, the letter "K" on my screen.
I think it's a defect.
Removing the screen protector obviously makes it MORE sensitive, but I still think it is a defect and had nothing to do with the screen protectors...

Wait for the update fellows. This was the case when my note 1 was released but with the updates the issue was resolved.

I also had that same problem. When i would continuously tap the L button it would just stop responding but if i go the S pen out and started to tap it with the pen it would work fine. I took it to the shop I got if from and they replaced it with one where the S pen wouldnt work properly on the bottom right side of the screen so they replaced it yet again and now i have a phone that is fine all except the notification LED is not as bright as all other note 2's i compare it with........Must say i love the phone but Samsung NEED to be more consistent with their quality control of their phones
Me too. My device different is when i swipe in portrait keyboard swipe works fine in my l and enter. Samsung must solve.
Hi guys. Same problem here.
I've noticed a lack of responsiveness on the right bottom part of the Capacitive screen on my Note II. This happes randomly when I tap on the "Menu" icon or when texting on the "Enter", "L" or "Delete" button. As said, you tap but the Note doesn't recognize the touch. It's a mess specially when writting.
Is it then a hard or soft problem? Shall it be solved with any future update or I should go and return my Note?
Did u try any other keyboard. Its the software bug.

Screen zooms in [solved]

Just recently for some reason the tablets screen keeps zooming in when i double tap anywhere on the screen and when i double tab again it zooms out. A thin blue line around the screen also appears when this happens. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Screen display problem? or Whats....

what about this screen? someone has happened the same and could solve it without changing the screen?
the problem always occurs after long periods where the screen is off and then turns on
if it stays on work perfect..

Ghost touches in pocket? [Proximity sensor issue]

Anyone think that perhaps the proximity sensor of this device doesn't work always?
After using my phone if I put it in my pocket without locking I expect that it will not register ghost/accidental touches but I don't think the phone handles that very well. Often when I pull out the phone I can see some random screen got opened.
Are others also facing this issue?

Not random screen opening but once i remove it out of my pocket i get a warning screen saying accidental touch protection is on or something.
Or sometimes a clock, the one on the lock screen where you just tap on it and it zooms in the clock.
Have you turned ON the Accidental Touch Protection? I initially had Ghost Touch problems during jogging but with the change of placement of the phone, i now dont have the problem. Make sure that the screen faces the pocket side not the thigh side. Most of the ghost touches happen while interaction with the thigh.

The setting was already on. Anyway I toggled it off and on again just in case. Making the phone face outwards in the pocket may work as a suggestion, but it still probably implies that the phone is not doing a good job in blocking these accidental touches. I also like the screen inwards in case I hit a table edge or something.
The other setting I did is to ensure the phone locks itself quickly after the screen goes off. Earlier I had it at a higher value and its possible the device was switching on to an unlocked state. This is working a little but in my old devices I recall I was able to pocket even if the screen was on and i didn't really have this issue.
Accidental Touch option don't working well as need it.
Sometimes working and sometimes don't but proximity sensor working like a charm
Think it's a software bug.
Working like on a wind
