Android Q - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Any progress to Android Q custom rom

Its still in beta! When Google releases it in a final form I'm sure it's gonna be custom ROMs.

If you like to experiment and not mind some bugs, you could try this Rom, for me it runs stable now. https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...-android-10-developer-preview-whyred-t3940181 (I suggest you to use IceCold R5 Kernel if you wanna try) And F2FS is working too.

Updated Screenshot with July Security Patch.

[Q]What is the diffrence between CM7 and the nightly build one?

I'm new to the ROM stuffs. So can any one explain what is the difference between CM7 and the nightly build one??
Nightlies are automated builds, with potentially more new features, and more bugs. So, they are not officially supported (As in, support for bugs). Stable, as the name suggests, is a stable build with official support for bugs.
So If we wan't a stable rom, we shouldn't use nightly build right??
Probably Yes. But it isn't always that you are using a nightly, it will be full of bugs. I am using a Nightly and have no issues.
yes , nightly's have bugs sometime so if u want stable rom use CM7-7.0.3 which is the latest stable release

Stable Custom Kernel for PE1?

Anyone knows of a good, stable custom kernel that's working on PE1?
any MM kernel (for stock / TW) as of the date of this post and likely a while afterwards, should work + be stable on PE1
all MM updates so far have had relatively small changes, mostly related to preloaded apps and security profiles

CM14?

Im quite curious about the next stage of development of CM. I always prefer CM-based rom due to the CM theme engine. My question is basically this:
How fast after the official release of Android N could we see a pretty stable relese of CM14 (if it will be called that)?
We have to wait until Nougat is released to the public before they'll even begin working on it. There's still bugs with DP5, and we need to wait for the official release.

I would recommend using @karthick mostwanted's latest available UNOFFICIAL Cyanogenmod 11 (KitKat 4.4.4) build.
This is because it is the most stable custom ROM build I have used for this device; this is mostly due to the CM12 and CM13 ROMs currently not being suitable for lower-end devices (not enough RAM and slower processors), as well as them being in alpha and beta stages of development. Please do keep in mind that the latest build (cm-11-20161130-UNOFFICIAL-nevisp.zip) from karthick111 comes with a few main issues/bugs (brightness slider, Bluetooth and video recording not working, and missing flashlight toggle) which should be fixed when Karthick is able to get the 5 December 2016 security patch working, so keep an eye out on the UNOFFICIAL Cyanogenmod 11 thread, or karthick111's Android File Host downloads folder for the next build.
Not Recommened
But You Can Have Anxhalls Cm11 with no bugs
Clean and stable From his site Droidfame
Or Cm11 by Wulsic is the most stabled Rom
cm 13 by Karthikk in android file host is little bit stable only a few bugs
camera
sound recorder
audio fx and
small bugs
Not Too bad its a Useful Rom

Most stable ROM

Hello guys.
Could you please suggest me the most stable ROM (your opinion) for my GALAXY NEXUS i9250 ?
I am not interesting in latest Android features I am interesting in stability.
Thanks !
Unlegacy Aosp KitKat 4.4.4 with kernel 1gb is speed and estable.
I've tried android 6 and 7, and for me android 5.1 (CM12.1) is the best blend of stability and newness. Things multitask well, and I don't get video crashes. Unfortunately it's not being updated anymore, and I don't know if or when the newer releases will be as stable. But for now, it's new enough, because the last build I've found is not even a year old yet!
i think the slimrom 6 is my choice because it's stable but when install too many app it will lag again.

Hello, sorry to bother you. Does anyone have a download link please? In the CM thread the links are dead unfortunately. Thanks.
same here.. any working links for the latest CM 5.1 ?
LOS 14.1 works stable for me. You just need to turn off the system animations.
