Most stable ROM - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hello guys.
Could you please suggest me the most stable ROM (your opinion) for my GALAXY NEXUS i9250 ?
I am not interesting in latest Android features I am interesting in stability.
Thanks !

Unlegacy Aosp KitKat 4.4.4 with kernel 1gb is speed and estable.

I've tried android 6 and 7, and for me android 5.1 (CM12.1) is the best blend of stability and newness. Things multitask well, and I don't get video crashes. Unfortunately it's not being updated anymore, and I don't know if or when the newer releases will be as stable. But for now, it's new enough, because the last build I've found is not even a year old yet!

i think the slimrom 6 is my choice because it's stable but when install too many app it will lag again.

Hello, sorry to bother you. Does anyone have a download link please? In the CM thread the links are dead unfortunately. Thanks.

same here.. any working links for the latest CM 5.1 ?

LOS 14.1 works stable for me. You just need to turn off the system animations.

Is there a bug-free lollipop rom?

hi guys, my friend want me to reset his gnex, i had it long time ago, and for me the best and smoothest rom was stock 4.1.2. i flashed paranoid kitkat rom for him ,but is not as fast or stable as 4.1.2.
i noticed that some lollipop rom are out, but with a lot of bugs. is there any lollipop rom that have no bugs?

All ROMs - both official builds from Google and Custom ROMS from our talented developers here on XDA - have bugs. Just a fact of digital life!
If you want the most stable build available, you're probably best served by Google's official releases. Scroll down for the different GNex versions/links.
If you want Lollipop, check out the Android Development board. Plenty of great developers and ROMs to chose from there. I have a 5.1 ROM linked in my signature below, as well.

thanks for the answer. i will try this 5.1 rom. Some roms have little bugs, and others like lollipop roms make the device not good for daily driver, like the camera not saving pictures, green lines on video etc. i will try some roms and leave the most stable on his device, but i think i will flash 4.1.2 in the end.

I've tested out many of the newest ROM'S and I'm still not impressed with the overall functionality of them when compared to the 4.1.2 PA ROM I've been running for over 2.5 yrs now.
The following is the files/order I flash in Clockworkmod:

Man this device was a pain for me today. after wiping to install 4.1.2 the device disconnected. and the usb connector i think is faulty. i had to flash every bit of rom in fastboot and a lot of errors. so i installed 4.0 rom because system.img was smaller and took a lot of time to copy the 300mb file and finally the device booted. i ota to 4.1.1 and i think i will ota manually to 4.1.2 because on device already appeared 4.2.2 ota. do you think is worth update all the way to 4.3? the device is smooth and i like the camera app better than 4.2 rom with that awful lag to rotate. do you think is better have an updated device or keep it in 4.1.2?
AOSP Lollipop 5.1- a wee better than stock is the best lollipop I could find yet. It is near-stock Android, and the overall performance is very good comparing it to the age of this device. The only bad thing I can say about this device isbthat the battery is draining faster(it might be an issue with my phone). If you are brave enough(such brave, much wow), you can try to overclock to 1.5 and the performance will improve by a lot

Samsung Galaxy Note II in 2015/2016

Hello Note II owners,
I'm starting this thread about our beloved phone just to see what you people like to use most: what ROMs you think are the best and why, what Android version suits Note II the best, etc.
So please answer the following questions in their order:
1. What Android version works better?
2. What ROM do you like the most?
3. Do you think the developers of our phone are doing a good job?
4. Do you think Android 6.0 will work well on this phone?
5. Will Note II be still a good device for daily use in 2016 and after?
6. Do you miss S Pen special functions in custom ROMs?
Thanks for answering!
I really wanna know what it's best for this phone
1. 5.1.1 for me.
2. I like CM the most. Theme engine, lollipop, etc did it for me. I love lollipop and would never want to go back.
3. Developers have done a great job helping us out with our old devices including the Note 2.
4. It's questionable whether they'll support giving us 6.0 support, and/or if it will be stable.
5. For now, yes. Later, maybe not. I think an upgrade is long overdue if you still have a Note 2.
6. I have SPen features with SPenCommand. It's awesome.
1&2
CM11 nightly (official) works the best. More stable than stock 4.4.2
4
We will get the unofficial CM13 (Android 6.0)... And it will be working like most custom roms on xda (bugs bugs bugs)
5
If the official CM11 will get the latest security patches, then yes, it its very good device for daily use.
6
No at all.

That's weird. Before I upgraded to my experimental CM12.1 port, CM11 crashed all the time. Now, I've probably only crashed once in my time of using 12. There are app bugs but I don't think that has to do with CM. Only problem is the "can't connect to camera" issue which is a common problem anyway with CM12 and 11 alike.

Using the cm-11-20150813-NIGHTLY and beside one freeze of the camera app, everything is totally fine.
Not even one "crash" or reboot.
But if the latest stagefright patches will be not merged into CM11 i will look for a unofficial CM 12.1 port for the n7100 - for me, security matters.

Alarmingly horrible, to be honest. I'm going to get a ZeroLemon soon enough.
edit: not just lollipop from what I can remember, it's been pretty bad lately in general
I couldn't find any CM based ROM with Android 5.0+ which didn't give me any random reboots. The problem is the CM Kernel that makes some chip to fail and forces the phone to reboot. First I thought it was my insanse chip but someone with a sane one confirmed the problem too.
So, to solve the random reboots we are forced at this moment to flash Agni and I believe that makes the phone a little bit laggy after a while.
CM11 is the most stable now but has Video Tearing and that bugs me a lot. I used the latest nightly build from the official CyanogenMod site.
My Note 5 just arrived today and I think I liked my Note II more back in 2013, lol. But it's faster than my father's S6.
Maybe an AOSP by team Haxynox

Best 6.0 rom? Sorry it's common but..

There are just too many and not that much time to test! What's the most stable & closest to base CM? Thanks!
Mokee is the best!!!

You'll just get fanboy answers since its new and theres nothing stable. The work on CM took double digit versions before it was halfway usable and there still was a serious functionality issue (wifi not waking up) during that time. And CM was the most well known unofficial rom here with the highest user participation on reporting bugs and workarounds.
Probably best to stick with older more stable roms unless you don't need your phone for anything important.
CM is the best bro
Anyway mokee is also good one . But cm is the best .
Well then i may ask: what is the best stable rom (any version)?
cm11 may be suitable for daily used
i have tried almost all roms... and found below to be used as daily driver.......
Kitkat:
smiui
tesla
mokee44
Lollipop:
Mokee51 release version
Bliss
minimal
liquidsmooth
fusion
resurrection remix
tipsy
crdroid
Marshmallowby far)
Mokee60

I would recommend using @karthick mostwanted's latest available UNOFFICIAL Cyanogenmod 11 (KitKat 4.4.4) build.
This is because it is the most stable custom ROM build I have used for this device; this is mostly due to the CM12 and CM13 ROMs currently not being suitable for lower-end devices (not enough RAM and slower processors), as well as them being in alpha and beta stages of development. Please do keep in mind that the latest build (cm-11-20161130-UNOFFICIAL-nevisp.zip) from karthick111 comes with a few main issues/bugs (brightness slider, Bluetooth and video recording not working, and missing flashlight toggle) which should be fixed when Karthick is able to get the 5 December 2016 security patch working, so keep an eye out on the UNOFFICIAL Cyanogenmod 11 thread, or karthick111's Android File Host downloads folder for the next build.
Not Recommened
But You Can Have Anxhalls Cm11 with no bugs
Clean and stable From his site Droidfame
Or Cm11 by Wulsic is the most stabled Rom
cm 13 by Karthikk in android file host is little bit stable only a few bugs
camera
sound recorder
audio fx and
small bugs
Not Too bad its a Useful Rom

Stable Marshmallow (or higher) rom for D852 suggestions?

My brother has a G3, but with LG's default 6.0.1 it's ridiculously sluggish, and hogs ram. He has the 3gb variant, and before apps are installed, it hogs almost 2gb of it. But my Mi3 which has cm13 on it, uses just 550mb. So my goal is to help find him something that isn't so bogged down with bloat and hopefully close to stock Android.
Unfortunately though, the latest cm snapshot for G3 is Lollipop, with nightly Nouget releases. He wants to stick to Marshmallow though.
So if anyone has experience flashing on this phone, have you found any super stable marshmallow roms?
Thanks

Either Fulmics ROM or cm 13
Cm 13 is stable enough to use as a daily driver. I have the cm 14.1 and it's running ever-so greatly

Alright, definitely going to look into them, thanks I've never used CM outside of snapshots though. Can you update nightlys from the phone, or do you have to keep flashing them in recovery? 14.1 sounds appealing, haven't run into any massive bugs or problems with it..?

Yes, you can download the nightlies from the phone. Cm 14.1 doesn't have much bugs, but I'd recommend waiting a few weeks, as these are the first builds being released. So, you won't see the Theme engine yet, for example. But every other feature is working very well. But cm13 is way more stable and close to perfection, so wait using the 13 version and keep checking out the cm14 changelog to see what has changed.
