Does Xaomi do that? This is my first phone by them and I'm going to return it cause MIUI sucks ass, but if they usually release source after a certain time I can look for that and maybe buy it again in the future.

No. No different.
But the manufacturer has released something they calls kernel source, but unfortunately, the developers were unable to work on it, so I wrote "as soon as the real sources are released"...
Some reckless and enthusiastic developers (Respect and gratitude to them!), trying to work blindly and produce custom ROMs. Which I was linked is the first one that no longer uses MIUI base....
I'm not infallible, but I think so.
There's some AOSP based ROMS here or on 4pda
GSI roms and independent zip roms are different.
GSI roms based on MIUI.
The original question was, are there any systems that completely eliminate MIUI. Thanks for the information ... I will look around on "4pda" ...

Hey are there any devs that are looking to do cm12 for the 805 model ?
So want this bad
Thanks
Yes, I also wonder why LTE versions are neglected. I own a T-705. In the end, this is little more than a huge S5, so why no 705 version at all?
If I am correct, the developers said they wanted to support the wifi devices first. Then when they feel cm12 for the wifi devices is perfect/mostly done, then they would later support the lte ones.

never happened with cm11 though
Guys, Rovo just announced that Xposed for Lollipop is out (have a look in the Xposed forum). This is a game changer: I would really like to try CM 12 on my T-705 ?
I second the request for CM12 (or even CM11) on the T805. In case anyone is familiar with what's missing / needs to be fixed in order to run one of the CM builds on the T805, could you please point me to it? I've got no experience with building CM, unfortunately, but as a programmer I'm very willing to get my hands dirty.

I asked nvertigo67, the creator of the CM12 build for the T800, about this the other day: He said he won't publish ROMs for devices he doesn't own.
FYI, nvertigo67 posted a laundry list of things to do in order to have a chance of getting CM12 running on the LTE variants.

Thete is hardly any development on this phone. My note 2 and 3 there were tons of roms. But it's dead here . Every one leave sprint? Not that i blame them sprint is pretty lame. ..
Nah, my guess would be that since we all know Lollipop 5.xx is coming, the developers are probably waiting. It's still a pretty new device too. Jmho...

Cm and asop romz are built almost daily n there getting more stable
Hybrid-X Stock ROM is probably the most stable and best rom out at the moment. He is also woking on a dark version of the Stock rom. Soo many options unlocked in this rom.
I use to use CM as it was basically "Rooting for Dummies" I am not cutting anyone down (I use to love CM) but you dont have to think with that rom you install and it does the rest it will even update the rom for you. You dont have to think when you have that rom, you are safe and should not have any problems which is why I loved it. However their roms were not stable and updating too often so I tried other builds and found Hybrid-X to be the best so far.
My guess is tho everyone else is waiting for Lolipop to arrive. But tx is still working hard on his ROM and is always improving it even when he says he is done for a while, all of a sudden there is an update or a new mod you can use. If you dont use his at least watch the build and see what is still going on with his rom.

Oh and Sprint may seem lame to you, but all carriers have their own pros and cons. For me I left verizon and came to sprint for the unlimited data and I pay a lot less monthly. Went from having to data-mine and count my megabites, to not having to worry, and I typically use 60-70 gigs a month on just my phone I get my money's worth.

I was also curious about this, I'm not too familiar with the whole developer side of android, so I'm learning!
When the official lollipop version is released for the Note 4, will we see more ROMs being developed?, and higher quality? Or should I expect things to stay about the same?
I've really really enjoyed several ROMs I've tested, I'm just curious what to expect once the official Lollipop TW is released.
Good things come to those who wait
Someone on the Hybrid page said they went back to stock and are currently downloading Lollipop. Posted screen shots too, won't be that much longer if this is actually the case. I would assume there will be a lot more action soon, or else the roms that are being made will be the best and there will be no need for a ton of different ones.

This was exactly the reason for the hault in production in KK roms. At least it was for me. No point wasting time on a soon-to-be out of date build. And to sum up the OP's initial post... for anyone who is not happy with the lack of roms for your phone, then there are options for you. You can learn to build your own roms and you can also donate to developers to support and encourage then to continue buildg roms for free. The only reason i started building roms for the Note 4 was because there was really not many if any devs building roms for us sprint users. I made the choice to get off my @$$ and do something about it instead of crying and making posts about it. FYI to anyone not aware... building roms takes a LOT of work and a lot of time. Take that for what it's worth. I would love to sit on my @$$ and wait for awesome roms to come out and not have to build them myself!!! That's the sweet life!!! to those of you who have shown your support and respect to the few devs here in the Sprint note 4 forums, we ALL Thank You!!!

If you check other 730 or 730G devices, you can quickly find two flaws.
- There are no roms or development whatsoever.
- The battery life / power usage of this specific chip is pretty bad.
It is rumored that the Pixel 4a (or XL?) will use a 730, so that may help, even though Pixel 3a has never had any rom development either really.

I don't think this is true and I believe there's nothing wrong with 730 / 730G. You say that there are no roms or development WHATSOEVER for other devices running the same SoC, take a look over Redmi K20 / Xiaomi Mi 9T sub-forum here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9t/development. I can see many roms available already so neither the 730 is bad nor the devices running on top of it are left in the dust. It is a matter of market interest and let's be honest, many mid-range devices exist that give better value for money than Galaxy A71 and it happens that most of them run other SoC and therefore, 730 may not get enough attention and that's all.

I'm sorry but this is just BS. Here's what Qualcomm says about it:
The Snapdragon 730 serves up powerful performance and impressive battery life. It’s built to handle some of the most sophisticated on-device interactions, fueled by an 8nm process for extreme power efficiency in a small size.
Click to collapse
It is not that Qualcomm advertising their SoC, the better the technology (8nm), the more power-efficiency the SoC is. If you still insist on you opinion, please share some references that backs your claim up.
I believe the best statement to say here already said by the OP in the topic title: we want fully developers support to this device. It is not that developers hate 730 or that it is bad but they don't find enough reasons to buy devices with 730 because other better phones (overall) with the same price (or more affordable phones with similar performance but different SoC) exist.

Twrp is pretty useless with nothing to flash with it
Root and twrpwould be superb.
Not useless, as you can flash mods, like screen bootlogo to hide boot locker warning for example.
I got rid of the s10 plus and got an A71.
Could not justify the pricetag and performance compared to the a71.
So sold on, and half of that money bought me the a71, happ days
Aslong as can root which is main thing, do some customisation's, i'm happy
I'd be willing to do a custom ROM release for the A71 if I knew where to start, I'm a developer but never worked on Android "ROMs" before.
My goal would be a clean stable version of the Stock OS with the Google/Pixel apps installed and the Samsung crud removed.

Uguys want to change this about a71?
If yes, please search for a71 development group in telegram. Step by step, every one can contribute to start decelopment. It will b extremely hard since most samsung snapdragon bssed devices released in 2019 and after will face lot of issues in sources and bug fixing. This is exactly how a70 decelopment started. It is still in a developingvphase. But because of contributions from every one and some exceptional devs like grarak, xtutorials etc.. a70 has an almost workable source to start with.
Lets see if a71 ysers are just as keen as a70 users to bring custom development for this device.
Joining the telegram group would be a start. We can coordinate from there on.

Considering the amount of publicity this phone has been getting, it's just a matter of time.
Once there's proper source code for a ROM to be developed, you'll see ROMs being developed.
As it stands, the device is brand new, I mean come on it came out in January.
If my previous phone (Nokia 7 Plus) had custom ROMs despite not being able to unlock the bootloader for free because Nokia wouldn't let you, I doubt this phone won't get any ROMs.
has anyone tried any treble roms with this device?
Was going to say, the amount of publicity this phone has got and still going is up there with main flagship phones.
It is a cracking phone for sure, and would love like many, to have custom roms and further support for it.
We have to be patient, if it happens, all good, if not, it is what it is.
I guess the only bad thing is that there is no way around of not tripping Knox, despite it being a Qualcomm phone and not an Exynos phone.
So if you have insurance and/or warranty, you can kiss those two good bye the minute you decide to tamper with the bootloader.
isnt is possible to install AOSP GSI by phussion?
SURPRISE!
Hi guys, I am developer from Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, and interesting in development to this device.
Mine ideas for this device:
* Debloated stock - stock with trash app removed, added features and other optimizing.
* TWRP - rooting and flashing will be easier
* Custom ROMs - any description needed here?
And ofc we will try boot GSI (maybe sGSI too) for this device!
Stay tuned!
