So im in the market for a new battery. A higher capacity one but slimline. I do not want a different size battery door. Anybody know of any good ones for a decent price?
Great question. I'm wondering the same thing.
I bought this one. I had to wait a month for it since is came from Hong Kong. I can get ~16 hours running the screen at 80% brightness, texting alot, 3g radio always on, constantly checking email. No complaints other than the time it took to ship.

I was sceptical but the reviews swayed me and I tried these- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XOUM12
I'm pleasantly surprised, I notice a definite difference in battery life and the wall charger is a bonus. For the price it's hard to beat and delivery was within a week.

$24??? Ouch man. I've bought tons of them and I always get them for $17 for two of them and a charger with free shipping. It usually only takes 2 weeks to get here.

Personally I have found these batteries no better than the stock htc red. With juice defender I get fair batt life with either...10-16 hours or so. I do find the wall charger useful as the battery never gets fully charged when charging in the phone.
There are no slim batteries that are better than stock, the only thing to increase your battery is to add a few millimeters oh my god, to your phone and get a 3500 you won't be disappointed, and yes like someone already said, use the search button next time this must be my like 6th time answering this question muskeg let alone if someone else did too, which I feel has happened too

the battery i have is a 2000mAh i checked it over. seems fine to me.
i get 17-22 hours with my best buy platnium battery (seido knock off) tht i bought off ebay.. so i would disagree there are some extended battery tht does work and there are some that doesnt have the right mah...
I have the 2000mah battery and its marginally better than my OEM battery.
The Seidio stock size extended battery sucks. Doesn't even charge past 90% anymore, and I didn't really notice a difference.

there isn't a real 2000mah battery for the evo, yours is most likely 1400 repackaged to say 2000. how exactly did you check it over, with your eyes?

The Best Buy battery isn't a Seidio knock-off - it IS a Seidio battery that they package for Best Buy.

This cool little thing called a volt meter. We have them in the 21st century, definitely should check it out.
UPDATED -> Post, video & LOADS of pictures!
I felt like posting on XDA too - so here it is, the battery stand/charger!
I bought it for £31, I thought might as well, especially for the extra official battery.
Here's my video on it:
For the pictures in a better resolution & a little brief on it - go to my website
Finally, I was wondering if anyone else has it, and what you guys think of it?
-TotallydubbedHD
i was thinking about getting this.
does the battery have an NFC antenna in it? from your picture, it looks like it's just a normal battery...
how long does it take to charge up the battery?

So I would presume NFC with it too - we don't have NFC here in france, and thus haven't tested it lol.

Hey guys!
I just laid down some cash for a Virgin Mobile Epic 4G Touch and as we all know, there's almost no difference between their version and Sprint's.
Now, I've been looking around and reading as much as I possibly can about this phone, but it has varied so much around the subject of battery life. I was curious, since I am a bit of a heavy user (Plus, it's my first time having an android phone; so I'm going to be playing around with it a lot), I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to buy a battery or a specific battery that would fit my needs?
My preference is anything(or highest) above 2000mAh without sacrificing dimensions; like I see with the 3800mAh batteries that come with the custom back door plate, AND it's reliable!
I've run across Ebay and Amazon, but the sellers and reviews are quite a mixed bunch with tips and tricks to make the batteries work. However, I just want a battery that performs like it's supposed to.
Any helpful answers will, of course, be thanked! :good:

Well, I've looked at them and they all appear to be great for the first month or two, but it's a hit or miss situation after that. Some even report that the batteries perform WORSE than the OEM battery afterwards. I know this could be a cause of over-charging, but sometimes it can also be the build qualities. It's a conundrum.
Are there any batteries that are guaranteed to work?... I really don't want to lay down $60 for a decent battery...
I know these things can be a "you get what you pay for", but surely there's something out there that contradicts this...

Like you, I did a lot of research and there was no aftermarket battery I felt comfortable about, regardless of the various price points. So in the end, I just purchased 3 OEM Samsung batteries so I can carry one or two around with me if I know I'll gone for a while from home. I also purchased a PowerGen 9000mah portable battery charger that I really like. It's not that bulky nor heavy and it's good to have around when there is no outlet and you don't want to power off your phone. It's also useful to have when playing games.

The around $30 ones aren't OEM. Except the one with a charger stand combo but that's $40.
For comparison that same charger stand combo is $45 at Samsung and $55 at Sprint, so it's a good deal if I wanted it.

Mugen 1950 mAh for Epic 4G Touch. I hear great reviews about it. A bit expensive, but I would rather than buying the ebay 3 pack for $12. I personally am going thru that now.
And if you ebay it then make sure they are the mAh that is listed when you receive them.

Sounds great in article. I would totally use it. Maybe you could only use it full blast like if you were out and about to get it full, and then turn it down when your at home. That way maybe it would not fry your battery so bad. When in a pinch it would be awesome though!

This may not be the same chemical compounds present in our batteries now, so the same thinking may not apply. Article says "semiconductor" and "natural occurring whatever" which doesn't tell us really anything. In short the article just says someone may have developed a battery that can be charged in 30s. I wish I came up with this probably wouldn't have to worry about money for the rest of her ? life
Imagine this with the zerolemon battery

Just ordered one, currently in India so hopefully it makes it here OK. I'll post back up once I get and test it.

Is that an OEM battery? And does the charger indicate when it's fully charged? And how how long does it take to charge a battery?
I have the TrendOn brand spare batteries and charger. Charger takes forever to charge, though.
