Had it about a week now, I keep switching between batteries whenever one is running low and I don't feel like charging it. Can't tell the difference.

Just ordered one, currently in India so hopefully it makes it here OK. I'll post back up once I get and test it.
Thanks for the tip, I like the charger dock.

Got mine, great deal for $20. Only problem is when you jump I keep ending up with to many accesories left in my desk drawer.

Is that an OEM battery? And does the charger indicate when it's fully charged? And how how long does it take to charge a battery?
I have the TrendOn brand spare batteries and charger. Charger takes forever to charge, though.

Anyone use an external battery charger so you can charge your extra battery?
If so, which one do you use? I'm currently looking to buy an OEM HTC battery, but I want to charge it without putting it in my phone and charging it that way.
Thanks in advance!

I have that one and for the most part it works pretty well.
It also has a USB out so you can, in theory, charge a battery in the charger AND use the USB to charge your phone. The phone's touch screen doesn't work if you do that, however, so the USB port on it is a bit dodgy.

I've been using this for months, and had the same unit for my previous Nexus One as well. Amazing price, and works perfectly, although it took about 30 days to ship from Hong Kong.
It's great to always have 3 fully-charged batteries on deck and ready to go when I'm low on juice. Battery life is no longer a concern for me, as it takes seconds to swap them out and throw the drained one back on the charger.
Highly recommended.

Ya I've been using this too, and other than the super long shipping i'm perfectly happy with it. So convenient
Random question but do you guys know if this is the same charger as the one for the HD2? I have two stand alone HD2 battery chargers at home. I was going to pull the trigger and get this, but it looks pretty darn similar to the HD2 charger.
Its the same one. My gf has an hd2 and I can use hers with no problem.

Any experience with qcell batteries?

As the title says: anybody tried qcell batteries before? I found them earlier on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/QCell-Univers...id=1342222580&sr=8-2&keywords=Qcell+galaxy+s3
They appear to have good reviews and the price is right. They also have nfc antennas in the batteries, not that I see myself using nfc for anything.
Definitely interested with this too. I ordered these today.

i place my order.....guess it will arrive at my place end of next week. will share more when i get it.
From all the reviews I've read, they're supposed to be same as OEM at half the price.
The reviews from amazon seem a bit fishy, all raving 5 star reviews and all the reviewers are brand new accounts with just one review. I'll have them by tomorrow and will post my results.
Any special app or way I should test them with? Or just a few full charge cycles to see?

I am almost 100% certain that those reviews are fraudulent. Look at their other batteries. The ones with only 5-7 reviews are pretty much the same. 5 stars, only review... it's really not hard to game Amazon like this. Verified purchase doesn't mean much either when you can give money to your friends/family/employees/strangers to buy them and give them 5 stars.
Then the rest are 1 star reviews from people who bought them and realized they are crap.

I ordered two and they work fine. NFC works as well and tested from my phone to my wife's S3. When I ordered they didn't have the two battery and separate charger available so was only able to get the batteries at $8.99 each shipped. Definitely stay away from Anker and Hyperion since it is confirmed they do not support NFC. The 2300mah QCell's are as good if not better than the Samsung original in terms of battery life.
Just received my Qcell batteries and charger a few minutes ago. Have the first battery charging now, will update when I have used them a time or two. It is not hard for me to believe the batteries would have similar characteristics to the OEM, it isn't rocket science... but time will tell.
---------- Post added at 12:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:24 AM ----------
OK, the Qcell battery is charged, I put it in my S3, and it fits like normal, powers up as normal, I can confirm NFC works the same as the OEM battery for me. I will comment on battery life, when I have used it a bit. Is there a good battery diagnostic app that mught be useful?
I have had the qcell batteries and charger for about a week now and I am definitely happy. After charging it fully and completely discharging it three times, I would have to say that it lasts noticiably longer than the standard 2100ml battery. Plus they are dirt cheal

Yeah I bought some ebay cheapies, 2 batteries and a charger for $10, and the charger only goes to 88%. Weird. The batteries give roughly 75% of originals. Not bad for the price.

Mine charges to 100% but it takes a loooong time. About 8 hours or so, starting from 15%. It seems to slow down for the last 10% too. This should be better for the battery, than a fast charger. The charger LED is purple while charging, and will turn blue when finished.
Try leaving it on the charger and see what happens. I thought the same as you guys the first day, but finally figured it out after some testing, using a volt meter, and then finally just leaving it on the charger for what felt like forever.
Only had the batteries a few days but battery life seems comparable to OEM.
Be careful with the chargers. I had a similar one with my evo 3d. After about a few months of use the charger contacts shorted and the charger basically fried up. Basically not a good idea to put a battery in it while it's plugged into the wall

Great Batteries for Epic 4G Touch?

Hey guys!
I just laid down some cash for a Virgin Mobile Epic 4G Touch and as we all know, there's almost no difference between their version and Sprint's.
Now, I've been looking around and reading as much as I possibly can about this phone, but it has varied so much around the subject of battery life. I was curious, since I am a bit of a heavy user (Plus, it's my first time having an android phone; so I'm going to be playing around with it a lot), I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to buy a battery or a specific battery that would fit my needs?
My preference is anything(or highest) above 2000mAh without sacrificing dimensions; like I see with the 3800mAh batteries that come with the custom back door plate, AND it's reliable!
I've run across Ebay and Amazon, but the sellers and reviews are quite a mixed bunch with tips and tricks to make the batteries work. However, I just want a battery that performs like it's supposed to.
Any helpful answers will, of course, be thanked! :good:

Well, I've looked at them and they all appear to be great for the first month or two, but it's a hit or miss situation after that. Some even report that the batteries perform WORSE than the OEM battery afterwards. I know this could be a cause of over-charging, but sometimes it can also be the build qualities. It's a conundrum.
Are there any batteries that are guaranteed to work?... I really don't want to lay down $60 for a decent battery...
I know these things can be a "you get what you pay for", but surely there's something out there that contradicts this...

Like you, I did a lot of research and there was no aftermarket battery I felt comfortable about, regardless of the various price points. So in the end, I just purchased 3 OEM Samsung batteries so I can carry one or two around with me if I know I'll gone for a while from home. I also purchased a PowerGen 9000mah portable battery charger that I really like. It's not that bulky nor heavy and it's good to have around when there is no outlet and you don't want to power off your phone. It's also useful to have when playing games.

The around $30 ones aren't OEM. Except the one with a charger stand combo but that's $40.
For comparison that same charger stand combo is $45 at Samsung and $55 at Sprint, so it's a good deal if I wanted it.

Mugen 1950 mAh for Epic 4G Touch. I hear great reviews about it. A bit expensive, but I would rather than buying the ebay 3 pack for $12. I personally am going thru that now.
And if you ebay it then make sure they are the mAh that is listed when you receive them.

How long does it take for your charger to charge the 7000 battery? Im curious about limitbreak charger as well. Thats the most important thing I need to know. I might just have to buy 2 7000mah batteries, let one charge the day before use and I will be good for a whole week, lol.

Its more convenient to have 2 ZL, using the first one while charging the other one, then swap. I have 2 chargers, the 300 mah and 450 mah, but both takes 24 hours to charge anyways so doesnt matter.
If you only have 1 ZL, the advice i can give you is just go back to stock while youre charging the ZL.
I wanna share my set up aswell, when im home or at work im using the ZL since thats the tome we use our fone the most, but when im gonna go out with my friends or partying , im gonna go back to stock and a spare battery in my pocket, so in this way you can still show off your amazing case that you have lol.

I agree, 2 ZL's are the way to go. Fortunately for me, I do not have a case yet, or anything....everything is all stock. I was thinking of going with the otterbox case and modding it to fit the ZL battery. I just discovered that ZL said that they will make a "rugged" external case like the otterbox but it will probably be in June some time.
Either way, I have DECISIONS, lol. But can you point me to the link for the 450 external charger? 24 hours to charge wouldnt hurt at all (if one has 2 ZL batteries)

Yeah i emailed ZL about that rugged case and yeah they said its goin to be june, you can also check the Laza case in amazon, it fits the zl, but i still prefer the ZL case coz its much slimmer.
And as for the 450 charger, I actually got that charger when I bought the 2 slim 2200 anker batteries from amazon, i think it was $19.99 the charger and 2 batteries. But remember, that charger doesnt have the thing you hook up on the wall socket, its a usb charger, but i bought this litte thing so i can plug it in on the wall, heres the pic of what im talkin about.

How long does it take for your charger to charge the 7000 battery? Im curious about limitbreak charger as well. Thats the most important thing I need to know. I might just have to buy 2 7000mah batteries, let one charge the day before use and I will be good for a whole week, lol.

Just to add my 2 bits, I seem to have a slightly updated model of your charger that I received from my last Hyperion battery purchase. Stil dog slow @ 350mA±50mA, though. HTH.
Mine recharges from about 10% to full in about 6 to 8 hours in the phone.
MD4 stock rooted odexed, modded
According to the instruction from ZL, they advise us to charge the battery with original charger. Do you think it's not good for the battery to be charged with external charger which is not original?

Can you charge the ZL 7000mah with the charger in the image you attached? Where can we find a USB 5.0V so that the output can be 800mA? or is it just the normal usb cable like the cable from the original charger?

so has anyone successfully made a mod for the ZeroLemon Extended 7000 mAh battery for an external charger? and if so could you show how to make it?

Zero lemon sells an external charger for extended batteries, as does Anker. Beware- the chargers look the same, but the Anker will not charge the ZL7000 / Anker7200 past 88%.
The ZL extended charger-
Charges via USB or installed in charger.
The ext charger is slower (600mah) then via the USB. 1000mah.
It takes 12hrs to charge battery on charger, and only 8 hrs via usb to phone.
If I've helped you, hit thanks!

It depends entirely on the output of the charger used.
I have the ZL external charger and it offers two charging options. With the battery on the charger, the output is only 600Mah taking roughly 12-13 hrs. If you use the usb cord and charge the battery in the phone, the charger output is 1000mah taking roughly 7-8 hrs.
Hit thanks, if I've helped you.

I am also wondering about this battery. I am also not so sure if the charger is any good?

Did a quick read on some reviews of their other batteries and they're generally good. Good enough that I might even consider these. Reviews on the included charger are overall bad, though, for anyone who actually mentions it.

I got this set. The batteries seem to be quite good and hold as long as the original that came with the phone. The charger seems to be a bit finicky but charges just fine for now! Though It does take a long time to charge a fully depleted battery approx ~7 hrs

I bought these today seems like a descent price.

After a week of use i will say these work like the oem battery that came with the phone. The charger took 10 seconds to get used to wince its universal and lets u charge any battery. If this was amazon i would give it 5 stars
I would only go with FACTORY LG OEM batteries for my phone.
Avoid any heating or quality issues.
I bought this one and it lasts just as long as my original, and doesn't get hot because it is OEM.

I have had so many good experiences with these 2 batteries and a charger set from 3rd parties. They are a way better value than the Oem batteries. Have you ever even tried them.

I can't speak for the batteries that the OP posted, but I bought some from TrendOn on Amazon and thru run cooler than the battery that came with my phone.
