If anyone could supply the build.prop that would be greatly appreciated, you just need to go into files and search for buildprop. Thank you.
What is the need?

He wants the emei number so he can get the Fortnite skin.
Yeah, no. Please bear in mind that with the build.prop, it's not just the Fortnite skin that can be claimed. People can also use your build.prop file to claim any exclusive promotional items awarded in the future, too.

no actually as build prop is the property's that the phone runs on not imei or serial number. It actually will allow anyone to use there own promotional items and such. It will not affect anything you are saying and is completely harmless. Build.prop is the same over millions of devices. And I'm not asking for any imeis
Is your phone rooted? As far as I know you can't unlock the bootloader, so how can root get root?
How can you get the build. prop without root?

Hi !
I like to use Ruby for back-end component. So when I heard about the Mirror API, I thought : "Great ! We will be able to quickly make software for glass. A few Ruby lines and it will be up and running !".
Then in a second time I saw that we should be using this : https://github.com/google/google-api-ruby-client
Which is ... Terrible to use. It's a nice piece of software, but it turns every simple thing into something like 50 line of code.
So I quickly wrote this gem : https://github.com/thedamfr/glass
For now, as I'm not part of the Explorer Program, I can't test it and get to know if it's working or not.
I would love to know if anybody have some insight about the gem, or about it's usage. Also if anybody know a way to test it, I would love to know how !
It has begun!
I wish I could help but I also didn't make it in the early group of lucky $1500 spenders.

Yep kind of expensive. And I don't think I would go to the US for that neither. I don't like this US-centric policy about the Explorer Program.

Me neither... But it's because it's being approved by the FCC.
About the price it's a prebeta program just for 2k people of the I/O and 8k of the #IfIHadAGlass program. The retail would be much less expensive!

Your IMEI is written on a sticker, under the battery. If you really played with IMEI numbers in the past, like you claimed, you'd have known this all along. Every phone has the IMEI number written somewhere on the device, because it is a unique number (not to mention, it is also written on the box). I suspect you are trying to replace your IMEI number with another one for whatever reason, so good luck...

Don't you know a shop in a remote corner that does that kind of job? I'm sure they'd happily attach a Nokia 3310 IMEI number to your N3N

theres an article claiming it can root G4 much safer and user friendly, also quicker (in 5 minutes)
havent heard anything about it on xda, so thought i might bring it up or see if anybody has tried this method or if its just a scam.
Im aware or low effort root, but is one-click root real too?

If/when there is a one click method, you will hear it here first.
what's wrong with the current root method? it's so easy! there are about 3 steps, if you can't follow it perhaps root is not for you.

One Click Root isn't a fake. I actually used it because I was having issues due to having a mac. They even remoted in and done in no time. Just to clear up the myth fwiw.

I am getting my G4 (h815) this Wed and i looked at the forum and the method I found is not quite simple (not 3 steps)
So I must have missed the thread
Could you please give me the link. Thank you

How much did it cost? No one is going to remote in and root your phone for you free of charge. Whether they had you pay in actual currency, or had you install software that included malware.
I asked them
it is $39.95

You have to be insanely stupid to install that malware and give some stranger remote access to your phone and computer, AND pay $40. If anyone actually does this they deserve to have their phone taken away and given an iPhone.
Yeah and for your information I am not insanely stupid because I did not do it
I asked them about the one click root for Lg4 h815 and they told me has to be done manually for $39.95
So that's why i know the price OK?

It is fake. Currently there is NO One-Click Root method for our G4.
In all honesty though the "low effort" method is so easy and quick (less than 5 minutes, seriously it only takes a few seconds once you have all the files you need) that I do not even see the point or need in making a One Click method for it.
The one click method works but yes one needs to give them access so they do the root for you. Yes 40 bucks is steep price. I am guilty as charged for having paid the amount. I am in no way a noob. Been rooting since the g1. But this time I had to for I have a Mac and all done through a virtual machine.

I have MSM Tool for the 7T, but now we need someone who can modify it so we can convert to international. does anybody know the process or is familiar with it and confident enough to do it?
Thanks for getting it for us all. Now we have a restore method as well.
Is there a password on the tool?

In the previous thread, we discussed a method to convert T-Mobile 6T's to the international variant, sort of, but it required an unlocked bootloader, which itself requires a SIM unlock which T-Mobile gives people a hard time about.
However, it is through @Dark Nightmare and @iaTa's efforts that we've come this far. Today, I share with everyone a new method to turn a T-Mobile 6T into an international variant. One that does NOT require an unlocked bootloader or a SIM unlock!
Before you proceed: Following the steps below WILL wipe your phone. Please backup all of your important files from the phone before proceeding.
Here are the steps:

I PM'd mauronfrio, along with someone else, I do have the files unzipped, the ROM, MSM and the drivers.
I don't see anything in the post about how we patch the files. I would assume you need something from the international variant. I did not want to make a post with links because I don't know how to go about installing the drivers and I figured it would be better to wait until someone patches it but if anybody has driver experience and needs to restore their phone I will give you the link.

How did you manage that? I couldn't get the app to work with my P4XL even after they did the override.
If an unlock-less conversion method comes out for the 7T or McLaren 5G like it did for the 6T, I'm going to JOD to those.

Try going thru chat and ask them if the Sim unlock went thru, tell them they already approved it, in my case twice approved that's what I told them
Greetings,
I'm interested in buying this phone mostly because it seems to have a good camera on paper for my <20k INR budget and the UI is a personal favourite of mine, just below the OxygenOS.
I would love to hear your experience with the camera, if it supports the GCam mod properly, and does the chunky design of the phone really make you reconsider buying it?
I would also love to know if you've tried anything to make the hdr10 work outside the YouTube app.
Thank you
I intend to get one if its easy to root the phone. Is it possible?

Yeah, from what I gathered online, all moto phones have a very similar and simple way to root them.
I remember having to write a letter to Xiaomi on why I wanted to root my phone and wait a week just to have the ability to unlock the bootloader of my Redmi note 4 lol. Moto's method is definitely way easier than that.

would system be read/write though? I've been out of the loop for a while, is there any fix for it yet?
if you're purchasing now, then there's no ROMs, TWRP, or anything.. but u can easily unlock bootloader and use ADB coz its Stock Android.. so if you want custom ROMs.. now you can just wait.. (if any ROM developer sees this.. if u own a Moto G40F.. pls make ROMs for this device.. thanks)
