Tegra X1 hacking? - Pixel C Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was thinking about both Pixel C and Nintendo Switch uses Tegra X1 and it was hacked by fusee gelee exploit so would it be possible to install custom rom on Pixel C to run Switch games? Anyone has ideas about technical possibility?

Custom ROM on Pixel C can be installed without an exploit. The problem is to create firmware ala Switch. Since this is a closed-source firmware.

[Q] How do I create a "joydev.ko" module for the nexus 7 2013?

I want to use my Sony PSP as a controller for the Nexus 7.
I read that some people have successfully used their PSPs as controllers for their tablets. They put custom firmware on their PSPs and they use something called "fusa gamepad" to turn their PSPs into USB controllers. I've already managed to use my PSP as a USB game controller on my linux computer, but I read that it can't be used on an android device unless I install something called a "joydev.ko module".
There are old topics in this forum about people asking how to use their PSPs as game controllers, but no one mentions how to create a joydev.ko module! I've searched google to learn how to create the module, but there are no tutorials!
The joydev.ko module needs to be compiled differently for each device because they have different kernel versions and different hardware.
How do I create the module for the Nexus 7 from 2013? Do I need to root my tablet to install the joydev.ko module? I don't want to void my warranty.
I know I could just use a USB PS3 controller easily with the tablet, but I don't want to waste 50 dollars if I could just use the PSP as a controller.
I'm still waiting to get my USB OTG wire in the mail. I'm asking this ahead of time to be prepared.
I was able to use the Sony PSP as a gamepad with the Nexus 7
In case anyone cares, I was easily able to use a Sony PSP as a game controller with the Nexus 7 from 2013 with Android 4.3.
I didn't have to install anything called "joydev.ko". I just plugged the PSP into the tablet with a USB OTG wire and it worked.
If anyone wants to try it, you have to put custom firmware on the PSP and you have to use a program called "Fusa Gamepad".
I quickly tried a few emulators. Only one of the games had lag in the button presses, but it was only in the start menu of the game. I'm talking about this: I would press a button on the psp and it would take about half a second for the button to register in the game. It only happened in the main menu though and there was no input-lag once you got past the main menu and started the actual game.
Which type of connection would have less lag with a game controller? A bluetooth connection or a USB OTG connection?
Thanks for this; it's given me a reason to bust out my old Phat PSP .

The joystick on the PSP was also detected. I used a free android app called "Joystick Tests" and it seems to correctly detect the joystick. I just haven't tried to play any games that use a joystick yet though.

OpenGL (not OpenGL ES) Games - working and not working

I've been trying out a few games on the Pixel C and have found a lot of issues, specifically with games using full OpenGL as opposed to OpenGL ES.
So far, I found the following:
Trine 2 Doesn't even start, the developers tell me the Pixel C is not supported but they can't mark it as such on the play store for some reason.
The Talos Principle Works, but most of the effects break the rendering, so it will only run with basic visuals.
Anyone else have any to add?
All the games I have tried work fine. The only exception was Hitman Sniper. That game worked fine before they did a Christmas update, now I have graphics problems.
The games I have played and worked are: This War of Mine, Pac Man 256, Horizon Chase and Geometry Wars.

I believe all these are OpenGL ES games as they all have an IOS port. I'm specifically looking for full OpenGL games that have been written specifically for, or ported from PC and console, to Tegra K1 & X1 devices e.g Pixel C, Shield tablet & Shield AndroidTV.
Thanks for the input.

are you sure that full opengl games are supported by google on the pixel c and not only by shield devices?
Maybe it’s like on the n9.

I'm not sure at all as Google have not made it clear. This is what I'm trying to determine.
If Google are aiming the Pixel C at productivity users, supporting Desktop OpenGL is a good way to help developers port their software.

if you’re rooted try gl tools and set it to emulate the shield tablet.

lol. Tegra 4 is incompatible with OpenGL. So, HL2 on tegra 4, or emulation of tegra 4, is NO OPENGL GAME. You can stop gltools advertising.
tegra 4 was 3 years ago, best to use nvidia tv or the upcoming[hopefully] shield x1.
I know this thread is pretty old but I have had the same issue with Hitman Sniper, and also Unpossible runs but none of the menus will display.
tons of games crash on startup that im pretty sure dont even use opengl. i wish i could remember which ones but it was a good chunk of them. if i find them ill come back here.

Hello, I installed DIII4A (DOOM3) and QIII4A on my pixel C and they worked well. I think the apps for the shield don't work on pixel C.

Sorry for the thread necro. I'm on AICP Pie and when I go into the play store for D3 BFG edition it says 'your device is not compatible' even though we've got an X1 chipset. What gives?
I installed DIII4A manually not from play store.

Xiaomi Redmi Smart TV 4A remix os

Hello guys, I purchased XIAOMI 4a smart TV, inbuilt patchwall UI is no doubt good for general purpose, but when you want to play games and do many things like doing on smartphone, it is not upto the mark for me. I want Remix os as an option for this TV.
There is Bluetooth drivers folder in root directory but you can't use Bluetooth in it. (Intentionally not provided)
-----------No support for game controller to emulate touch control as in Remix os.---------------
You can't create wifi hotspot.
And many more.....
Also if someone can give me ideas to emulate touch via Xbox controller, it would be great help.
Edit:
I tried to install Google play store TV , Google account manager, play services, and service framework. Everything installed but after opening play store it gets force closed each time.
What is the display size?
43"
Lets open a common thread for all the MiTV owner to share ideas and know-how regardless of tv model and versions available as well as regions. Hoping a development and mod could be bring together.
Install this app and share me the screenshot.

Hey guys, this is to inform you all regarding this model is added in "certified Android Devices" list, so in near future you will get Android support officially.
And if some development as in progress than you might get chance to have different rom support on it.

Darkwood Emulated in Android

I have an ASUS Rog II.
I purchased Darkwood for pc and love it, but since its not graphically intensive, i want to play it on my phone and need a way to do so. here are things ive tried:
1. Using Termux to run an arm64 version of Ubuntu. It wont download Steam, since its arm64 and not a full emulation of a x86, so unless i can emulate a full linux machine, thats out.
2. Downloading the Nintendo Switch version of the game, but there is no good Switch emulators, at least i haven't found any.
3. Translating said Switch Darkwood NPS file into something Dolphin Emulator can understand. imagine playing Darkwood with a sensor bar for aiming, that'd be so cool cause joystick sucks for Darkwood.
4. The Darkwood developers say they are not going to port the game to android so, if you have more ideas or ways to emulate Darkwood successfully, please respond!
