Hello guys, I purchased XIAOMI 4a smart TV, inbuilt patchwall UI is no doubt good for general purpose, but when you want to play games and do many things like doing on smartphone, it is not upto the mark for me. I want Remix os as an option for this TV.
There is Bluetooth drivers folder in root directory but you can't use Bluetooth in it. (Intentionally not provided)

You can't create wifi hotspot.
And many more.....
Also if someone can give me ideas to emulate touch via Xbox controller, it would be great help.

I tried to install Google play store TV , Google account manager, play services, and service framework. Everything installed but after opening play store it gets force closed each time.

as long as the sideloaded apps have the original signature untouched, they have always updated.
Edit: Nevermind. The problem was me. User error.

Netflix TV Os
Hi,
I'm struggling on the internet for information I'm after and you might be able to help! I want to get a media player with the official Android TV OS (the same one as the Shield - not the other normal media boxes). Simply put - in SA we have unstable internet connections. For Netflix on Android TV OS, does it allow for offline downloading? People have suggested popcorn time but I want to support creators and anyway, Netflix is good enough. So, can anyone tell me whether the Netflix App for the official Android TV OS supports offline mode (ie downloaded episodes like you have in normal Netflix on Android).

Hello all im after a simple question answered if its at all possible and maybe a little direction on how its acheived.
I have an old galaxy s4 GT-i9505 with a broken screen running as a makeshift android tv.
Its plugged directly into a TV through mhl and serves its purpose very well.
Its mainly used for Netflix/Kodi or any other Tv catchup type app.
Its currently being controlled a number of ways, mainly with a amazon firestick Bluetooth remote, (s4 runs much better than a stick BTW) but certain apps (Netflix, various tv apps) dont recognise the centre button.
However this isnt an issue as I have different methods to control apps that dont use my remote too well (droidmote).
What my main question is, when installing an app say Netflix on an android phone how can I get the app to think its being installed onto an android tv device like FireTV,firestick,nexus, or any generic android tv box?
Is there a way to modify my rom to enable fooling detection of Android tv?
If this is not possible is there any android tv rom I might be able to use on the gt-i9505?
Last question Id like answered, is there anyway I can map the buttons on my Bluetooth remote to ger the centre button working?
I would be very grateful if any devs who may read this help out by letting me know if any of this is possible, ive exhausted Google search but came up with nothing.

Moto Z Play for some weird reasons has disabled cast. You have to root your device and edit one line in build.prop from persist.debug.wfd.enable=0 to
persist.debug.wfd.enable=1
It should work.

Google removed that functionality from Android in Marshmallow and where it exists after that is where the vendor adds it. Motorola doesn't add it.

That would be very weird reason - Insta Share Projector can't replace cast.
I found info about this on official Lenovo forum. One of moderator said:
"Google removed Miracast from stock android many versions ago. And since Motorola builds on stock android with very little modifications, most of their phones have not had Miracast in many years. Android supported Miracast, in Android 4.2 (KitKat) and Android 5 (Lollipop). However, Google dropped native Miracast support in Android 6 (Marshmallow) and later. I have the same request too, owning a Chinese version X95G/X9500G/X950G. No Airplay/GooglePlay on this version

This article is currently in the research stage. However, the more it will be shared, the more it will be able to advance thanks to the community.
Sony recently released an update to make the X900H series TVs compatible with the official Apple TV Android application.
I decide to undertake some research, so that I too can benefit from this application via an unofficial method.
Download APK file
Once this has been copied to the TV, turn off the internet connection, then install the application and restart the TV. On restart launch the Apple TV application.
The latter does not execute and throws the following error message:
Your sony television does not have the latest update.
Reactivating the internet on the TV still the same problem.
I decide to investigate the required software version on the Sony firmware side. I discovered that you need firmware update to v6.0384 on the X900H models. As seen in the screenshot taken on Sony's official website, "Adds support for the Apple TV app".
Unfortunately, my investigations and skills end here.
But I have an idea, to be able to make it work (with no guarantees that it will work).
I appeal to the whole community !!!
If a charitable soul with a compatible Sony Bravia TV, sample model in screenshot above and current TV. Please provide the version number of your TV by following the tutorial below:
Go to the "Home" menu of your television by clicking on the button on your remote control.
Then, click on "About"
And share its Build number:
Once this number has been provided by a member of the community. A way will have to be found to spoof the build number on the non-compatible TV, by changing to the one provided for a compatible model. This technique is more commonly known as spoofing.
I appeal once again to the community !!!

Hello guys! We just bought this Philips TV and was not aware it is using this Saphi OS instead of the Android OS we usually find on Android TVs. I have some questions about this TV.
1.) Any users of the OS that have find several key apps that works well with the TV? (e.g. Netflix, Youtube and other useful apps)
2.) Do you know if this OS was just recently implemented and hopefully get better even if it is intended for entry level TVs? The firmware on my TV was made on June 2019 even if it is just built on Android 6.0.
There's no option on exchanging the TV and since most users are not tech savvy, I'm focused more on using it to its full potential.

Same here. We just bought the same tv yesterday and we were told it was an android tv. Netflix was installed manually from a usb flashdrive and youtube. Youtube was working but Im having an error in the Netflix.
I hope there's a fix on this. The TV is great, but we need netflix.

Saphi OS to Android TV would be amazing. I'd rather pay for development of such cfw/rom then buying extra device like Chromecast/TV box. Saphi OS is very non user friendly, video player is powerful but with very limited options with subtitles (no load option), apps are limited and few.
