Bootloader error - Moto Z2 Play Questions & Answers

Hi, i got this cell two weeks ago (used) and apparently the bootloader is unlocked, but it's not, when i start the phone i got the message saying i have unlock the bootloader but when i try to lock it via adb show's the message "Allow OEM Unlock" but this option is greyed out saying "Bootloader is already unlocked". There are no custom rom's, i already reinstalled the factory rom thinking there was some custom in there, already wait 7 days to see if the option is checkable, and still greyed out, saying the bootloader is unlocked, but i'ts not. Because of this my phone is not registered and keep getting network errors and not receiving updates. Is there any way to fix this?
P.S. Sorry for the bad english.

'Enable OEM Unlock' not working?

Hi, I have a LG G4 H815 on Lollipop and I want to unlock it's bootloader to root it and flash an update and do other stuff. I want to try to unlock the bootloader the official way but whenever I go into the developer options and press the 'Enable OEM Unlock', it gives me a warning and I tap Ok but the slider still stays at the off position and it stays disabled
I really want to flash some stuff on it because some of the stock LG stuff is pretty crappy. Thanks in advance!
Try to soft reset your device and try after that

I don't have a slider. It's just a tick box. Try updating to the latest version first or reset your phone completely. All your files are wiped anyway when unlocking the bootloader so you have nothing to lose in trying these.

I tried updating my phone to Marshmallow using the LG Flash tool with a kdz but the tool was having its own problems. It kept saying that it couldn't connect to server. I tried a lot of other methods to upgrade to Marshmallow but they didn't work. Do the flash tools need the bootloader to be unlocked too?

Without root or an unlocked bootloader, you can only use official root tools. I don't think your software version matters too much. Just do the full factory reset. There's no reason not to try doing this as bootloader unlocking does a factory reset itself.
I have also tried everything on my lg g4 on marshmallow...but can't turn on the oem unlock tick...
Any solutions
I tried factory reset too but still, not switching :'(

I got the same issue as yours here...and cannot even flash some Stock Rom on this "H815" model.....is your phone a refurbished model from Aliexpress? (as I suspect something here)
Dear all
After spending 3 days searching on the net, I found the way :
"Just purchased a LG G4 (H815). I'm in the process of unlocking the bootloader, and have been following LG's official instructions. However, I am having trouble performing step 8 of this guide:
"Enable OEM unlock on your phone. Activating the "Enable OEM unlock" is necessary for the bootloader unlock. To enable OEM unlock, go to Settings >> Developer options and check Enable OEM unlock."
Going into developer options and tapping on "Enable OEM unlock" returns the pop up message "WARNING: Device protection features will not work on this device while this setting is turned on. CANCEL ENABLE". After checking ENABLE, the pop up goes away, and I can see the checkmark box is checked for less than a second, and then it goes back to being unchecked on its own. Can anyone explain this?
Also, if instead of tapping CANCEL or ENABLE on the pop up, I click off of the pop up, the pop up goes away and the box will stay check marked until I interact with something else. Entering adb reboot bootloader from here though still does nothing sadly.
UPDATE: I had to download LG Bridge, connect my phone and use LG Bridge to search for a software update (H81520H) that my LG G4's update center was not finding for some reason. After the update, I had an update android security patch level, and could enable my OEM Unlock!"
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
LG Bridge doesn't solve the thing for me, it says "Your phone is up to date" ... I installed and removed LG Bridge a few times and even tried to update it. And even tried the "Update error recovery" (blue text on the bottom right of the window), still with no success.
Still no access to Fastboot for me, even if Adb sees in device when prompting the command "adb devices".
This "H815 20o" software version I got (from stock rom, refurbished phone, with this insane locked bootloader) is driving me nuts for 3 days now...
Up,
If anybody ever got the same issue, any help is very welcome!
Problem solved with uSu and SALT

Help with bootloader

Hi! I'm not so sure if I'm the right page or if we even have a right page. I'm currently using a "xiaomi redmi note 5 ai" with bootloader locked.
I was trying to unlock the bootloader using the trick where you have to have 2 mi accounts to use but something weird happened.
When I was trying to unlock my phone after doing the trick it said "Device Unlocked. No need to repeat unlock" but I checked the status of my phone in the developer option menu and it says device is still locked and secure.
Now everytime I check the phone unlock it's just the same result. Is there anyway to fix this? Or am I stuck? :crying:
Hoping for the former rather than the latter. :crying:

FACTORY RESET
Or
Install the stock fastboot rom through mi flash and select full wipe and lock.
Hope it helps.

TWRP S965F Install Question with a slight twist

Hey all,
Sorry, I know that has been covered extensively on here, but I just want to clarify my understanding and make sure I'm not waiting pointlessly and hopefully avoid mucking this up in the future.
So, I've had my Galaxy S9+ long enough that OEM UNLOCK appeared in the developer options menu. I've rooted/flashed installed enough phones in the past that I stupidly didn't read up on any of the newer security features (such as RMM).
I OEM unlocked the phone, restarted, and everything looked fine. I've then rebooted into Odon (3.13.1, downloaded through Sam Mobile) and tried to install the tar file associated with my phone (twrp-3.2.3-0-star2lte).
Odin failed to install, with the error message, "only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed(recovery)" After a quick look around, this error message appears to be associated with a bootloader that is still locked:
If I look at the values at the top of the download menu, I see
RMM STATE: Prenormal
FRP LOCK: Off
OEM LOCK: Off
So, if my OEM lock is off, is it the RMM state preventing me from flashing the device? If so, is this a wait seven days without restarting the phone for RMM state to change to normal or am I missing something entirely?
What I've also read, is it is required to do the TWRP flash mid-OEM unlock (during the reboot of the factory reset), is this something I will still need to do?
Any direction appreciated. Sorry for posting on the same subject so many others have, I just can't quite find any information on it when the OEM is unlocked already.

I'd love any info on this as well.
Unfortunately, I just had to wait the week.
I will say though when you come to install TWRP make sure you follow the instructions. I didn't, then I had to wait another week for the OEM Unlock to re-appear again!

Samsung s10e (G970U1) unlock the bootloader

Please help me, my Samsung s10e (G970U1) wants to unlock the bootloader. In the "Developer" option, I did not select the "Unlock OEM" option
Yeah, well, I too have a G970U1 running Android 10 and I want to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP and root it. Well, unlocking the bootloader seems to be impossible. "OEM Unlocking" doesn't appear in Developer Options. I've been through all of the published time-shift tricks to get the OS to think that more than 7 days have passed since the machine went live. And, I've let it just wait for more than 7 days a couple of times. No joy. No OEM Unlocking nohow. No other way I've found yet to get the bootloader unlocked.
Any help? Please?
and Thanks!

Shows OEM unlocked but not in fast boot mode.

Not sure what is going on here. I have a Pixel 3XL that let's me click the OEM unlock. When I restart the phone it still says it's shows the OEM is unlocked, but it shows it's locked in fastboot mode and will not let me flash a recovery image. It's a new phone and I have not put a SIM card in it yet. anyone been through this and found a solution?
If I had read the Wiki more closely I would have seen that I was only allowing the OEM to be unlock. The unlocking took place in another step.
Check it out I got the same thing. I just got a replacement 3XL last week and it's allowing me to unlock it are you saying it's not going to work if I try to unlock the bootloader because I have my original 3xl still and it's grayed out.. don't answer me either I'm surprised you didn't answer me you got the same s*** going that I do ?
