Since upgrading to 4.2.2 I cannot connect to my PC via USB cable.
The Note says I am connected as a media device but my PC (Win 7) will not recognize it.
Any advice please.
Try updating the device driver. Google around or search for samsung mobile latesr driver. Its somewhere on xda as well.

According to my PC, it has the latest device driver installed.
OTG cable works fine with my USB thumb drive.
i had same kind of problem last time. all i do is uninstall the current driver... reboot... reinstall again... reboot and plug in the device... then all goes well.
hi guys I have an LG G Pad updated to kitkat officially, I have root it and I was installing the clockworkmod recovery using the recoveryinstaller.apk,
when I have tapped on flash recovery my device got stuck on black screen!!! I have tryied all buttons combination but nothing and the lg pc suite or mobiletool cannot do anything.......what I have to do?
Try to power off your g pad and turn it on again. If it get you to recovery mode, then you should connect it to your PC and try LG Support Tool to restore to factory kit Kat update.

If nothing else works, just enter Download mode and recover with LG Mobile Suite. To enter download mode:
1) With machine off, and cable plugged into the tablet but not into computer, hold volume up and down button at the same time (NOT power button).
2) Still holding the combination, plug into the computer. It will now enter Download mode. This can sometimes be tricky if the tablet won't stay off. The key is: on/off unplugged and still holding it-> plug into computer.
When you see the Download Mode on the screen (feel free to unplug the USB as it will now hold the mode until told otherwise), load the LG Mobile Suite and install the standard ROM.
Hi i tryied to put the device in download mode but the pc won't recognize it I can hear the sounds of Windows about the peripheric but the tablet continue to remain in black screen and the support tool won't recognize it.... I can try with another pc but for lg the warranty can pass with root?

Hi,
I'm in the same boat. I bought the device rooted and it was working fine, then after a day it just shut off when I was in recovery. It wasn't even while I was doing anything to it. I had rebooted into recovery from an apparently stable ROM. The battery was at about 40%. Now there are no lights and almost no sign of life at all. Occasionally when trying to connect it I get the cursor change that indicates that a USB device has connected but the LG Mobile app won't recognize it. Is there any chance that I'm just not pressing the buttons correctly? The instructions I've read say to make sure that the device is off, but I don't know how to tell conclusively that it's off. Has anyone had any similar experience, or is there something else I can try?
Thanks

Just follow the instructions above. If it has no charge, you may plug it in the wall for 15 minutes before starting.

I've done it many times but there's an element of uncertainty because I can't tell whether it's on or off. My Sony would go through some cycles of blinking lights. I'm probably overlooking something obvious. How do you tell whether it's off, or at least make a good guess?
Thanks

Hi all,
I've got exactly the same problem, maybe even worse ....
Been reading all about unbricking, updating, recovering etc ... Downloaded about all software I could lay hands on...none working. The B2CAppSetup, which is supposed to install the Mobile Tools doesn't even recognise my Internet Connection , go figure... Or is that suposed to be a fixed-line connection instead of WIFI? I've got some 'off-line-fixed-tools' that starts OK, but as soon as I point it to the *.kdz file and apropriate *.dll's, it just stops with an extract-error. The flashtool I found doesn't find any device on any port, etc etc etc ...
My G-Pad is only running in a kind of bootloop (LG-logo 2x, the death-droid, and again from the beginning) The 'recovery-mode' isn't doing anything and the only thing that surely works is 'download-mode'. But then again, Win XP sees several LGE-USB-devices which are NOT recognised by the LG-software.
Any one ?

If you are in download mode, then you are halfway there. As to the drivers, try uninstalling them and reinstalling. Then enter the LG Mobile Suite fresh and try from there.

If you hold the power button for a few seconds, you will see it go off, even if it is showing a black screen. The difference will be visible.

That's about 3156486 times I've been doin' that, to no avail, if you must know
My guess is ,again, that this software refuses to connect over WIFI and only works on cabled line...
I keep trying , tnx anyway.
Cheers, Dirk

NVM. Misread. Anyhow, I found it doubtful that the LG Mobile Suite has issues with WiFi specifically, since the software has no way of knowing how it is receiving data via the internet. It may be an XP issue.

I had a similar issue with Sony's Emma update tool. On one of my computers (a Fujitsu Lifebook) it consistently failed saying that I had no internet connection. Another computer was fine.
My bricked LG-V500 must have been some hardware issue. I wondered if I had done something because I was flashing various ROMs, but I didn't do anything careless and it died when I inserted an SD card, not while I was performing any updates. I had just bought it on eBay and I really didn't want to make the seller deal with it (even though he had rooted and tinkered with it) when there was a decent chance that I had done it anyway. He sent me his newegg invoice, I returned it to them, and they just sent out the replacement.

Hi, I have an LG G Pad v500 with the same problem. I was trying to unlock my bootloader. Then I replaced my aboot to this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2698267, following this guide: http://www.grupoandroid.com/topic/1....t-todo-en-uno/.
I have an LG L70 D325 and it worked to me, so I tried to do the same with my LG G Pad.
Now my LG G Pad doesn't turn on. My screen is black and I can't access "Download Mode" nor "Recovery Mode" and nothing else. It's seems like my device is dead.
Can someone help me?
Is there something that I can do to fix my device?
I appreciate all kind of help!!!

I know this is old 3 year old reply. But i'm fighting with same issue on my T-Mobile LG PAD V521. Did you get this fixed or could tell me how? I don't know when tablet is on or off and can't tell.
I understand it has to be off for download mode but problem is it might take long time for battery to be "off".
Thank you
I think this topic has been discussed for several times now, but I did not find a related Thread title regarding this problem.
I did buy the mi 5s from gearbest and want to open my bootloader.
Moreover I did apply my MI-Account for an flash and got it accepted few days ago. My phone is in Dev mode with Usb debugging enabled, linked to my Mi Account and Device Location turned on. I've already tested the location from my desktop and my phone is linked appropriately.
The typical Problem with the MiFlashUnlock-Tool still occurs to me: The Flash fails at 50% with "couldn't verify device"
My desktop is running on Windows 10 with Driver signature disabled, my Phone is recognized by it and is connected to an USB2 Port with the original cable.
What am I missing? Is it possible to install a Global Rom without opening the Bootloader?
Try putting the global rom onto the phone and then use the updater app.Thats what i did and it worked.
you can't unlock bootloader with vendor fake rom, you have to flash the china dev
