Hey, I have installed TWRP recently to root my device with Magisk (Newest). After flashing it, I have rebooted and I got stucked on the first samsung galaxy note 3 logo. I have rebooted another time and Magisk Manager was installed in my apps but there was a red circle on magisk and green on magisk manager. I have tried to wipe data and format to factory but nothing was changed.. I was using CF-Auto root before but I have changed for Magisk for the hiding module. How do I fix that problem ? I am under Android 5.0 and my model is : SM-N900W8. Any ideas ?

So as yous would know there is a new magisk version, i update the app and randomly lose root then when I try and flash the new version via TWRP it causes my phone to boot loop please help
Bootlooped here too. Get into TWRP, Flash the uninstaller and install v16.
Edit: Clean installing v17 works too.
I got bootlooped too
Steps to install v17 without getting bootlooped:
1. Uninstall magisk with latest uninstaller
2. Wipe Cache/Dalvik
3. Boot into ROM
4. Reboot to TWRP
5. Install Magisk 17
6. Boot Into ROM, no need to wipe anything.
Thanks, you saved my life!
I am running stock(debloaded) 7.0 a320FL and advise against updating magisk to 17.X at all. After doing so(and getting past all the bootlooping) unlock screen is unresponsive. Currently sitting at latest 16.X magisk and intend to stay there for foreseeable future
so i installed magisk in a custom rom named Groovy in my Asus zenphone 2 so i installed it without any error un twrp after i rebooted but it takes me back to twrp what can i do i tried magisk unistaller but it says no root enabled something like that.
You need to install the verified boot signer to fix the TWRP boot loop
Recently on my rooted with magisk android 9 without twrp s10+ i did update of edxposed to newest version yahfa.
After update phone is not restarting with root and hangs with black screen. Can only restart it and use without root with turned off magisk
Is this possible to somehow uninstall edxposed without loosing all data as i don't have backup
I have patched with magisk rom as tar file.
Can i simply flash it with odin and recover it without loosing of data or this is not possible?
thx for any advises as i don't want to spend a day on setting all up again...
I flashed TWRP successfully and flashed a multidisabler file and the Magisk-v22-0.zip file in TWRP, then rebooted but the Magisk app wasnt there, so I installed it but it siad that it wasnt installed.
So I booted to TWRP again and flashed Magisk again, but the Magisk app still said Installed: N/A
So I was forced to use the magisk patched AP method. Can anybody tell me how to fix this?

sorry if this post may seem stupid and boring for advanced users ,tonight I updated Magisk to version 24.1 from 23 and I had a very hard time (phone did not boot ).
my setup is poco F3 international twrp +lineage OS .
here what I did :
downloaded Magisk 24.1.apk renamed to .zip reboot to twrp and flashed Magisk 24.1.zip,after successfully finishing I rebooted and lineage logo was not displaying ,also twrp vanished !
so luckily I had the intuition to rflash twrp from pc which was successfully .
once in twrp I went to advanced option and used flash current twrp wich successfully permantly installed twrp (once again )but it told me I lost root, so I reflashed Magisk.zip and although twrp was telling me no os was installed rebooting to slot b finally bring phone to life without loosing data luckily .
sorry for the long and boring post did I do everything right ?(I guess not )is this painful and scaring process required each time I update Magisk ?
You no longer need to rename Magisk to flash, TWRP detects it, and it seems it was a problem with the Kernel rather than.magisk
The best way to update magisk from the magisk app itself.
