How come it does not even have my G7 for Sprint model listed? I have drivers installed, but the stupid thing doesn't even recognize my phone.. Does anyone have the factory software so I can do a complete reinstall.. I need to obtain my calendar storage apk that I unistalled my accident some time ago. Thanks

Can't enable Helium backup on G3 D855

Hello,
I have some problems after updating to Lollipop (sudden shutdowns) and I read a hard reset might help, so I wanted to backup my game progress with Helium before I erase everything.
I did everything as described on Carbon instructions, installed Helium desktop, even Chrome Helium addon, I have a premium version app on my G3 and LG unified drivers installed on my Win7 pc... what happens is that on the desktop app it says that backup on my phone is enabled, but on my phone it says "waiting for backup to be enabled..." and stays like that forever.
I tried deleting the drivers and installing again, nothing, I even tried Verizon set of drivers, nothing. I switched usb methods from MTP to PTP... nothing. My phone is recognised in Device manager properly and on LG PC suite too, but Helium android app fails to get enabled.
Did anyone have a problem of this kind, and what's the solution?
I'm running 20h firmware stock no root.

[Q] Fido G3 Problems

I recently received a G3 from Fido when I renewed my contract.
I've barely used it. I've been using my old iPhone for work, and until I find a tough enough case (I work in construction and it's hard on phones) and fully migrate my data and apps, I haven't been using the G3 as a phone.
I've done some mild surfing, watched a bunch of videos, read a book or two and just generally played around getting to know android.
I did root it using LG_One_Click_Root_v1.3 and at first there were no problems.
Then I started getting errors like
Unfortunately LG IA has stopped. And then it was Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped.
It was so persistent, that I did a factory reset.
After that, the Unfortunately X has stopped messages now included:
LG Keyboard
Blootooth
Google Play services
Youtube
So I then went into SuperSU and uninstalled the root.
I've since done a few more factory resets. And in addition to the Unfortunately X has stopped messages, I also have to following problems:
File Manager shows no directories in system memory, and will not show the MicroSD (although I can mount and unmount it in Settings).
I cannot connect via USB, as a drive, or through LG PC Suite
LG PC Suite will not connect through wifi either
Accounts & sync > Add acount
Couldn't sign in
There was a problem communicating with Google servers

But these are probably related to the fact that it just doesn't seem to be connecting to anything. The browser gives me this error:

Because I can't connect to the internet (via cell network or wifi), I cannot get another file manager/explorer, or install an app to be sure that the root is really uninstalled.
Things I need/would like to know:
Is there an easy fix for this that someone can point me to?
What are the odds this was all caused by the rooting?
Is it possible an OTA update caused this?
How can I verify that no traces of rooting remain if I try and return/repair this under warranty?
How might I finish removing the root if it is not cleansed?
Can anyone provide a link to a Fido stock ROM?
TIA for any help, pointers or general info that may be of any help.

Android Device Manager not working

am running stock V20H EUR not rooted nothing...... but I can't locate my phone using android device manager and I can't request a ring, I checked the google settings it is all ON, and I tried deleting cache both google play services and the App itself and still I can't use it
anyone knows what to do? I tried reinstalling rebooting the phone... nothing

good to know am not the only one who has the problem on G3, I also got this McAfee security app but I do prefer the Android device manager, thanks mate

LG Optimus G Pro E980 "Unfortunately settings has stopped

This is an LG E980 Rooted with SuperUser installed. I have Freegee which says my LG 98020i version is not supported, so I don't know how to proceed with that. I also have Flashfire and Flashify. Not quite sure about these either.
I watched all the YouTube videos, No Help, I reset to factory settings twice, No Help. As soon as I reboot from reset "unfortunately settings has stopped" I can download various apps that can change various settings for me, (Thank God Google has a back door to get into my home wifi or I would be really up a river) but i cant set anything in the settings menu manually. So I got an app to enable ADB and intalled LG Mobile USB driver on my windows box, along with LG Flashtool, LG Mobile Support tool, and LGUP and my phone Still won't connect except to charge. I went into reboot into ADB, when I connect the USB and launch LGUP it says "no device detected" and "install LG usb drivers" for my device (which I already did). I'm running KK 4.4.2 and at this point I just want to reflash my current ROM and hopefully regain access to my device, although installing a new lollipop or marshmallow version without all the useless AT&T crap is appealing. I'm really frustrated with this whole process. Every time I turn around it's something else that won't work. I REALLY don't want to F this up but I think I'm a little over my head. Can someone give me an Idea of how to make this work? I can't even get an APK that isn't from the play store. What a Freakin" Pain. The more I read, the more confusing it gets, with all the .tots or .kdzs, MMs and EFSs, TWRPs, CWMs, and AOSPs, I don't know WTF to do. Can anyone PLEASE point me in the right direction?? Updating firmware via Smart Switch

Hi all,
I thought I'd turn to the mighty force that is the XDA forums to see if anyone could help fix an issue I'm having.
I understand there is a new update out for the Exynos S20 family that includes camera improvements, but it is not currently available OTA, but you can update via the Smart Switch application on PC.
I have the UK Exynos Samsung Galaxy S20 5G so thought I'd try this manual update method.
After installing Smart Switch on my Windows 10 laptop and the Samsung USB drivers I plugged in my S20 and the laptop immediately recognised the device correctly. It also recognised an update was available (see screenshots).
After clicking update I'm greeted by a message saying my device will be updated to the latest version, it states the update is 5723mb which I thought seems pretty big.
After clicking continue I get a few warnings about backing up my data, not removing the USB cable during install etc.
I then click all confirmed, the warnings go away, then nothing happens!
From watching a few YouTube videos a box should pop up showing the update being downloaded, showing the progress etc on my PC but nothing ever happens.
The smart switch application still works and I can go through all these steps again only for once again nothing to happen.
I've tried a fair few troubleshooting steps including:
Different USB cables, tried 3, each the same (in USB 2 and 3 ports)
Reinstalling the smart switch application on a PC
Reinstalling the drivers for the phone
Checking my antivirus/firewall has the smart switch app whitelisted, it does, all fine
Restarting the PC
Restarting the phone
Running Smart Switch as an administrator
Turning USB debugging on
Making sure the Smart Switch application is not slept etc on my phone
Whatever I try makes no difference at all, the same thing happens, so get so far then nothing, the download never begins, the pop up for the download never opens.
I've checked on task manager in Windows and after I've requested the update begin the application is doing nothing apart from using ram, no CPU or network usage.
I know it's not a big issue, the update will likely be out soon OTA, I just hate when I can't explain why something won't work!
Any and all help much appreciated.
I got a s20 5g withblatest updated firmware and smartswitch and laptop cant recognise phone. Only explorer, is it what happend to you too? Any help or fix for this problem??

tells me its pre downloaded but like you i click the button and nothing happens

Thanks for the replies, updated OTA now, who knows why it wouldn't work! Still gave me something to that with during the isolation.
Hi. Anyone uses mobilego wondershare? Cant use it with s20! How to restore apps easily with smartswitch or other restoring software?
