Hello,
I have some problems after updating to Lollipop (sudden shutdowns) and I read a hard reset might help, so I wanted to backup my game progress with Helium before I erase everything.
I did everything as described on Carbon instructions, installed Helium desktop, even Chrome Helium addon, I have a premium version app on my G3 and LG unified drivers installed on my Win7 pc... what happens is that on the desktop app it says that backup on my phone is enabled, but on my phone it says "waiting for backup to be enabled..." and stays like that forever.
I tried deleting the drivers and installing again, nothing, I even tried Verizon set of drivers, nothing. I switched usb methods from MTP to PTP... nothing. My phone is recognised in Device manager properly and on LG PC suite too, but Helium android app fails to get enabled.
Did anyone have a problem of this kind, and what's the solution?
I'm running 20h firmware stock no root.
Thanks in advance.

Well, it all started when I rooted my nexus 7 and downloaded Sinless Rom on there, then i kept getting adds on websites and i always accidentally clicked them so i downloaded lucky patcher and some other adfree app, launched both of the adfree services, then a bit later i had to download something, and it went through adfly, and since it did the page would just come up as an error. So i deleted my lucky patcher and my other adfree app. and wiped my cache, that didnt work. So i went into advanced setting on my recovery and wiped the data, thinking it'd do something else, silly me. then i just said screw it, and wiped completely everything on there, i'm left with basically just my recovery. I've tried plugging the tablet into my computer with the drivers installed, and it doesn't recognize it, at all. So what do i do? my computer wont recognize the tablet i have plugged in.. so then i cant transfer files to it to flash Sinless again... I've tried many different driver installs, forums, i couldn't find anything.. If you have any suggestions. Please say so, Thank You.

Does it detect in bootloader mode? If so, just flash the stock image. As far as ads go, the way to fix that is AdAway. You can get the APK from there, or by using F-Droid.
Sadly it does not detect, bootloader, recovery, or Adb.
If you've got Recovery then you're all sorted. Just get a microUSB memory stick (or OTG cable) and copy the ROM you want to install on it. Recovery should detect it and mount it so from there you can install whatever you want
Not sure how to best describe the issue, so please stay with me on this. I have a clean install on Windows 7 laptop (Lenovo W530) and on my LG-D851. I cannot seem to root the D851, like I normally do using LG Root Script v1.2. It appears that there is an issue installing the USB driver on Windows 7, but I cannot be sure. I have provided a lot of screenshots so you have as much info as possible. While I can see the phone as a I would a hard drive, Device Manager says the "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)", even though I have installed LG Mobile Driver from here. When I try to root the phone, LG Root Script just hangs on the screen that reads "Waiting for Device...". This process has worked for me in the past, but I cannot determine why it does not now.
A few notes:
Album of Pics
Phone is seen under My Computer
I have tried this process on CyanogenMod 12 and 13 with the same results.
CyanogenMod Version: 12.1-20151117
Android Version: 5.1.1
MTP Enabled
Developer Option Root Access set to: Apps and ADB
Android Debugging: Enabled
Thank you for your help!
Bump. Any suggestions?
Is the phone unlocked? If not get the unlock code from t-mobile. You can also buy ALL the different unlock codes for about 12 bucks from several online services. I then used kingroot to root my d-851. I installed twrp, ROM, turned on root in developer options and all was good. If you want to remove kingroot afterwards, go to https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...0ZScx8RT3Fc5HzFTA&sig2=OwVgKQIMCJAXMHTcO_WLmw for instructions. Hope my experience helps you.

...and don't know what is happening know.
I rooted my phone first with Kingroot and it got its place in my phone. Then I tried to uninstall bloatware. I saw Chrome using about 45MB of space. I was happy that now I'll kick it away and other apps. But when Kingroot shown Chrome, it shown Chrome as using only 10MB and same with other apps. Original space apps were using were not shown but much less than that. Anyway, I uninstalled all of them. About 6 or 7. After uninstallation I checked my Device Storage, it was still 1.45GB as it was before uninstallation. WTF! Even now, as those apps were disabled, I got 6 or 7 Android dummies in my phone like all those are apps.
Then I rebooted my device and those dummies were gone. The Kingroot experience was pathetic. It doesn't even freed up space as expected. Well I proceeded to properly root my device. Found this thread for my upgraded-to-lollipop phone and downloaded and installed as said in that thread. I flashed TWRP via Odin and then flashed SuperSU via TWRP.
Rebooted and came to system to use. Opened SuperSU and it shown error "binaries need updating". I updated this app and used "Use TWRP to install binaries" and even Normal mode too; as said in some other thread here but no luck.
I even get "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" everytime I go to recovery mode but everything seems working fine. As with other users seeing same message, I am getting to TeamWork UI successfully (don't know why that message is displaying). Now All I want is to know is is my device is healthy? And can I install other custom ROMs. I though made a backup using TWRP.
My device: Samsung Grand Prime (SM-G530H). Was Kitkat when purchased but I upgraded to Lollipop 5.0.2.
Thanks for any answers.
Download a custom rom and flash via twrp if u already backup up the stock rom. Most of ur issues will be solved already

Hi all,
I thought I'd turn to the mighty force that is the XDA forums to see if anyone could help fix an issue I'm having.
I understand there is a new update out for the Exynos S20 family that includes camera improvements, but it is not currently available OTA, but you can update via the Smart Switch application on PC.
I have the UK Exynos Samsung Galaxy S20 5G so thought I'd try this manual update method.
After installing Smart Switch on my Windows 10 laptop and the Samsung USB drivers I plugged in my S20 and the laptop immediately recognised the device correctly. It also recognised an update was available (see screenshots).
After clicking update I'm greeted by a message saying my device will be updated to the latest version, it states the update is 5723mb which I thought seems pretty big.
After clicking continue I get a few warnings about backing up my data, not removing the USB cable during install etc.
I then click all confirmed, the warnings go away, then nothing happens!
From watching a few YouTube videos a box should pop up showing the update being downloaded, showing the progress etc on my PC but nothing ever happens.
The smart switch application still works and I can go through all these steps again only for once again nothing to happen.
I've tried a fair few troubleshooting steps including:
Different USB cables, tried 3, each the same (in USB 2 and 3 ports)
Reinstalling the smart switch application on a PC
Reinstalling the drivers for the phone
Checking my antivirus/firewall has the smart switch app whitelisted, it does, all fine
Restarting the PC
Restarting the phone
Running Smart Switch as an administrator
Turning USB debugging on
Making sure the Smart Switch application is not slept etc on my phone
Whatever I try makes no difference at all, the same thing happens, so get so far then nothing, the download never begins, the pop up for the download never opens.
I've checked on task manager in Windows and after I've requested the update begin the application is doing nothing apart from using ram, no CPU or network usage.
I know it's not a big issue, the update will likely be out soon OTA, I just hate when I can't explain why something won't work!
Any and all help much appreciated.
I got a s20 5g withblatest updated firmware and smartswitch and laptop cant recognise phone. Only explorer, is it what happend to you too? Any help or fix for this problem??
I get exactly the same issue
tells me its pre downloaded but like you i click the button and nothing happens
Update is availible OTA now anyway :good:
Thanks for the replies, updated OTA now, who knows why it wouldn't work! Still gave me something to that with during the isolation.
