Hey, My phone came with the bootloader unlocked, with that, was impossible to update it with OTA. Today I decided to lock my bootloader to update my phone normally, so I opened the adb and lock it. The problem was that my phone doesn't boot anymore, problaby it came with a custom rom or other thing. I need help to recover my phone! Someone can help me?
I already tried to use MiFlash with the stock rom, but it shows "mismatching image and device error", also i tried to unlock the bootloader(no sucess) and tried to enter on edl mode, but the MiFlash doesn't recognize it.
Thanks and sorry for any mistake, english isn't my main language!

The only options left is to disassemble the phone and flash using test points
Or, if he got a fake phone, leave it and return to the seller. If he opens it, he won't be able to do so.

Isn't fake, but I guess it's not Mi A2 Lite, because when i put the imei on xiaomi site, it show Redmi 6 Pro 4/64gb and to help, it show that isn't the global version
Looks like a hard brick.
But don't worry!
How did you get to EDL mode? By opening the case or by making your EDL cable?
Because if you did make a cable you'll need it to reconnect phone and PC, make a short circuit with black and green wire to get into EDL, detach those wires (not the cable itself), open MiFlash and choose the right Redmi 6 Pro package to flash. All of this on this cable.
If you don't have it, here's how to make one: https://youtu.be/WqM_xYJqyF8

Flash it via EDL mode or EDL cable Chinese MIUI Dev ROM and then you'll be free to install what you want. It's still visible in Fastboot so it should be doable.

It means you're not in EDL or didn't make an EDL cable.

Looks like your device is not connected to the PC in fastboot.
Are you properly connected with the blue LED on?? If you have flashtool, open that. It shows if your device is connected in fastboot or not.

Besides, make sure you have installed correct drivers.
If you have flashtool, go to C:/Flashtool/drivers and run the .exe file in it.

My LED is green when connected to the PC.
I power off the device, wait 30 seconds. Then hold the volume button as I connect the USB

Yes...you are not connected in fastboot. Like @cities516 said, apparently, you don't have the proper driver installed.Install the driver as suggested.
I was having issues with fastboot(it used to go in fastboot and then get disconnected and entered normal charging mode) as I am using windows 8(64Bit)...If you are having for that, this thread helped me...update your android_winusb.inf file accordingly and install it.
If things go right, device should get connected in fastboot and blue LED should remain on.

Do you mean your network signal is down since you unlocked your bootloader?? That should not have hapened.
can you dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check in service info > configuration and check the bootloader unlock status??
I have been up and down all the sites and recovery methods.
ISSUE:
In an attempt to root my Zenfone 2 (2.19.40.22 Lollipop) the tool I was using seemed to get stuck looking for my device. This was after installing a fastboot, or an attempt I believe. After a minute or so I noticed the phone screen was constantly showing the USB Logo.
I can turn on my phone and use it no problem. HOWEVER, I cannot POWER + VOL UP, to enter the bootloader. It just goes back to that USB Logo with the White Bar under it. And I have to power off and ON my phone again to get back to normal operation.
As you can imagine this makes it rather difficult to flash anything or use the ADB Tools whatsoever. Is there anything I can do to get that back, or am I doomed with a phone that can never be rooted?
[The tool that started this whole issue was the TWRPRecovery-Install]
Twrp tool only installs twrp recovery which you need an unlocked boot loader to install, so it should have never been used, can you use adb from the phone in normal operation? Can you get into recovery at all? Sometimes you can boot to recovery from adb shell when phone is in normal boot. Most of the solutions I can think of requires root but if you figure out how to get to recovery you can sideload a full update file to restore everything

Thanks for the info. I clearly followed the wrong guide. I did try the One Click Tool but again it goes straight to the USB logo. Its odd, if it was broken or deleted your imagine there would be a way to fix or reinstall it.

That is generally considered bricked... Only ASUS can fix for now....
Bricked phone "The system has been destroyed Press power button to shut down"
Hello and happy new years,
Few days ago I total bricked my phone, it doesn’t start in normal, fastboot or in recovery mode.
I made a deep flash cable and I entered in EDL mode, with MiFlash I flash stock rom but I make a terrible mistake, I chose, clean all and lock option. Because of that my bootloader was locked and I can’t unlock it. When I leave EDL mode my phone show an error screen, "The system has been destroyed Press power button to shut down".
I can enter only in fastboot, recovery doesn’t work. But in fastboot I can’t use fastboot oem unlock or fastboot oem edl or script methods to enter in edl mode.
I put in attachements log of fastboot getvar all, fastboot oem unlock and fastboot oem edl
I think the only way to repair my phone is to enter in edl mode but deep flash cable methods doesn’t work now and I can’t unlock my bootloader as with official or un official method.
Do you have a solution*?
Thanks,
Pierre.

Hi all,
I've just got a new e-ink device Hisense A5. I've checked via adb and it says it supports trebble.
I would love to flash GSI, but am afraid of the consequences: will it work on e-ink device?
There is no TWRP for it either.
Can anyone help to point me in the right direction? Has anyone tried GSI on an e-ink device?
Thanks
Since there is no global rom for this device AOSP GSI looks a likely solution.
I would take a chance on it if I could unlock the bootloader.
I tried all the usual methods but it looks like a determined effort has been made to keep it locked.
Anyone up to the challenge?
?
Hi!
I have this phone also!
I found this on GSI https://www.getdroidtips.com/android-10-hisense-a5/
But does this require us to have an unlocked bootloader?
I'd be interested in knowing as well. Was thinking to buy one, but a 100% chinese market phone is just a no go for me. Potentially too many "spyware" apps installed.
I have it right now and i tried it. To enter Fastboot Mode you have to press the volume up button for 10 sec while insert the charging cable to the PC (The phone needs to be powered off before doing it)
What can i do further?
It is possible at this point to get GSF ID to get it signed by google and try to install some apps?
There is a way to enter developer mode in the Phone?

One guy managed to enter dev more, maybe try to tap several time on the build number (in parameters, about phone) as usual?
Then it seems that there is a box to check allowing OEM unlock.
Third step, try "fastboot oem unlock" command.

Maybe you can have a look at this tutorial and evaluate if A5 can also be managed with Qpst.

Proof that GSI can be done, pics in the attachment. Just unsparse the GSI image with simg2img and flash it to system with QFIL. As far as I've tested, only Android 9 ones boot.
The refresh rate and latency is terrible though - unoptimized AOSP is unsuited for use on e-ink display.
