OTA update, problem with SIM card

Yesterday after OTA update (2.17.401.2) , my HOX don't recognize SIM card.
It say "com.android.phone has sotpped unexpectedly."
Is anybody has same problem?
How can I fix it? or go back previous version.
AS far as I know you cant go back to a previous version. Have you tried another sim card if its the same with a different sim card in then its the phone if not then its your sim card is faulty.
You could try flashing th RUU, which will set it to factory settings.
You can backup your stuff with adb backup, flash the RUU, verify if it's working then adb restore. It might do the trick.

You formatted your phone's IMEI with SP Flash Tool. Use this thread to restore your IMEI (second post)

Elephone P8000 - Recognize SIM Card But Can't use it Anywhere

My Elephone P8000 recognize my SIM Card But it won't be able to use it.
No matter where I go I can't call or use cellular network.
But When I Use my SIM Card on any other phone It does work perfectly.
BTW: It worked before. (I didn't do anything for it to happen: Didn't Install a new rom, Didn't Installed a zip...)
Hope That you can fix this....
Hi, Have you tried both SIM ports? Is your sim card working on another phone? In the past I tried a Vodafone card on my p8000 and it wouldn't recognise it and the same card would work flawlesly on another phone.

Lineage not recognizing my SIM card after update/root

I updated to the JAn 19th update for LineageOS, and decided I wanted to root my phone again since updating unroots it. Did so which of course wiped the data and had to redo Lineage, and now my SIM card isn't recognized as being there. Yet when I download a sim card recover app off of Google Play, it shows all the correct info of my sim card, so it's still readable, yet I can't get phone service...
What a exotic root method do you use? Just flash the SU matching your ROM from https://download.lineageos.org/extras. No need to reflash after LineageOS update.

No SIM card (PIE)

Hello all,
I was trying to check for updates for PIE today and installed a VPN. Cleared the apps (like on tutorials says to do), installed a VPN, took the SIM card out.
Checked for updates and nothing popped up. So, gave up and put again the SIM card. Since that moment, I don't have mobile. No calls, messages, mobile data.. Nothing!
Removed the SIM card, exchanged the to the second tray.. nothing!
Reseted network settings.. nothing!
Erased even all content and settings (factory settings) and the SIM cards are still not being detected.
What can I do?
Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite running PIE
MacBook Pro (don't have a windows computer working now
Thank you!!
Edit: Not sure if there is an issue with the card/network since I tried the SIM card on the OPO and is not working either. Don't have another SIM card to try on the MI A2 Lite to test.
For now, please ignore this post. I may have done several things to the phone and the issue may be on the SIM card itself.
Second edit: after all the TS done, went to the carrier store. It was an issue with the card. Replaced it and all is good now.
If possible, a moderator can delete the post. Thank you.
