Anybody received February update for Nokia 8.1 I guess it includes the fix for front camera overexposure.
Nope and we are now well into March with no update either?
Sent from my Nokia 8.1 using Tapatalk
Nope. Got my phone two days ago, updated it to January and that's it. Maybe there were some issues with the update, they pulled the plug on it, and now they'll just skip it? That happened to me before on Mi A1.

Got it today
I got it today. I am in Mumbai, Maharashtra
I received the February update for the Nokia 8.1 on 26 Febuary.
can you post some front camera samples with new update outside, bright foreground conditions?
Just got the February. I was hoping they'll skip it and give us the March SP bundled with February, but it doesn't matter. Hopefully the next one won't be delayed that much.
Check this out , hopefully they fix over exposure of reds and whites colours in daylight in coming updates.inalso noticed that the lights and sign boards are blurred out in night.lets see

It's almost a week since the 8.1 was released. I'm still December patch 8.0 with T-Mobile. Anyone from T-Mobile got 8.1 ota without force update?

Nope. Still rocking 8.0 with November patch here.
Mine is in.
No update for me. I seem to always get them at least a week after it starts going out.
tmo and still on 8.0 update .. i noticed i'm getting updates way later now with Pixel 2 compared to OG Pixel
I'm on T-Mobile and received my 8.1 update on Thursday.

I'm on TMobile and no update for me either. I also got the November update late for some reason. I mash the update check at least 3 times a day. Haha.

Received mine about 3 days ago.
This -->> https://www.google.com/amp/s/9to5google.com/2017/12/07/pixel-nexus-check-for-update-button-fix/amp/
I waited weeks for the Nov update and it never came. Didn't get the 8.1 update either. Sideloaded both of them. Easy enough. But hopefully Google keeps their promise and fixes the manual update check.
If you want to get update fast enable beta install that one then you will get regular update .

Still waiting on mine, a friend told me he just received his this morning. Both of us have pixel XL, on TMobile.
Received mine last week, coming from 8.1 beta.
This is stupid. I signed up for the beta so I could get this since I hadn't received it yet. Still can't pull it down! WTH.

Got it last week but was on 8.1 beta.
I haven't received 8.1 even being on an unlocked Pixel 2 XL.
I'm still waiting for my update. I may side load it if it's not here in a week.

I don't think Google are that fussed about Follow-the-Sun. As it's previously been mentioned it's normally 11am - 2pm PT so quite late tonight in Europe.
The images are out now
The bulletin mentions only one functional improvement that too for pixel 3 family. This means that nothing exciting for pixel 2??
I'm getting it ota now on my pixel 2xl

I don't think google intends to add support for Vodafone VoLTE now. Its been 3 months since it was marked as resolved on the issue tracker.

Even worse for Telekom Slovenia...Status: Assigned → Infeasible
Lazy Google....As much I like Pixel line, but this is too much. What they are thinking? That Pixel line is for geeks which they forgive them every stupidity and lack of support?
It looks that they don't care for their customers much...
Maybe in UK, Germany and Italy around here...just need the call from their support like:
"Why did you bought it in the first place?"
I thought monthly security patches from Google, release on the first Monday of the month, and that the first Tuesday of the month is the new beta releases?

Typically the beta releases are on a Wednesday. 1 - 4 are the beginning of the month, the last two are whenever they release them. I'm assuming tomorrow, but, could be next week too. Last year the final beta was first week of August, and the stable was the last week of August.
Also last year there were only 5 betas, so I wouldn't be looking too hard at past release schedules, especially with how vague they made this year's timeline (on purpose, so that they can adapt a bit, should they need to)
Beta is live now

Finally i hope i get my vibrations back
Just finishing installing Q beta 6, let's see how it is?
Ugh, still no swipe down anywhere on the homescreen to bring down the notification shade, like every frigging third party launcher has had for years.
Developers have said it was coming in Q 5 or Q6
Enjoy!

I took the update then re entered my fingerprints. It appears to be working much better. Time will tell if it stays that way.
accidentally took the update on my n976v also lol.. there goes my testing.. looks like gonna move back to g975u testing
Received this morning upon waking. I haven't re input my fingerprints yet, but even at that, iit seems y to be working a little quicker than even with the patch they rolled out.. Verizon N10+ carrier version..
Sent from my Note 10+ using Tapatalk
Seems like all carriers pushed it out. It was waiting on my Verizon 10+ this morning as well. I was pretty shocked.
Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Got it too! And wow all carriers pushed it out simultaneously? Maybe Android is finally changing for the better!
YOU CAN NOT ROLL BACK TO PREVIOUS OS VERSIONS!!
Yup. Received a feature update yesterday with camera improvements on my U1. Then got this update this morning. It's just a security patch BUT PLEASE NOTE!!! This moves you up to bootloader v2. You can NOT roll back to previous versions.
This also tells me the Android 10 beta will have a v2 bootloader when it's pushed, otherwise we wouldn't be able to install it.

In my experience, about every two weeks, the FP sensor gets mega wonky and won't recognize my prints. So I have to re-enter them. Then it works like butter, but slowly degrades in performance for a couple weeks until it's wonky again.
I've got 4 updates on my Note 10+ in the 7 weeks I've had it. Never had so many updates on a device in such a short time and I own a OP6T and P2XL
Maybe we'll be getting Android 10 with One UI 2.0 before the new year. It definitely seems companies are finally pushing updates like they should. We pay a lot of money for these devices so it's good to know they are being supported better these days.

Only in certain regions...
They roll out in waves but certain regions seem to get priority over others...
Kinda sucks balls being on the end of the list and waiting 2 months for an update or feature the forums are all talking about a month or 2 in advance....
Even worse when a security threat is found and we are stuck in limbo wondering if we are gonna get an update soon to fix that which has been found...

What's up Mr Orange
For me it's the opposite. Seems like the more I use FP the better it gets. When registering I alternate each thumb every press.

Hey, Butchie. I may have to try that. Been getting frustrated with it. Id say it's my Whitestone Dome screen protector, but literally when I first register the prints, it works smooth as butter. Couple weeks later and it's like it doesn't recognize my prints at all.
Anyone know of an Odin ASJ8 for U version in case we want to roll back to Pie?

Plenty of copies around. Venom has one posted on androidfilehost. Sammobile has one. They are present and handy. In fact, flash the csc from it AfTER you are on the beta to get back your carrier features.
Phone is out today in their uk website, I've got that blueprint code, is it worth taking a bite? or would software leave me frustrated?
I feel like this might be a no-go because of the software. Everything else seems pretty great about it.
It would come down to how picky you are with software and, depending on how long you keep the phone, if you are okay with not getting an OS upgrade.

I have the chinese version, software has been working perfectly.. worried about the global rom being crap.. worst come worst serve can probably get away with just using the chinese rom + root to remove bloat apps.
Im on global, no problem at all with the rom, wich i tested almost every bit of it. Must have been fixed in update. Super smooth and blazing fast. Best phone ive had, and i had quite a few.
Do Not , I repeat Do not do it. crappy software. Dev community needs time develop stuff Custom ROM etc. not so much fan base to attract large number of Devs. so i say do not do it.
I wished i went with oneplus8 12 GB ram. for almost the same price. but what happened has happened . and Igot to live with it
Software is more than ok for now. No problems at all on my side i repeat, no problems at all ? guess someone didnt have the update ? Or received a lemon ??

That said, for now i dont need root that badly, i can live with the stock rom. Phone suits me pretty nicely. But hey, its a personal choice.
