I thought monthly security patches from Google, release on the first Monday of the month, and that the first Tuesday of the month is the new beta releases?

Typically the beta releases are on a Wednesday. 1 - 4 are the beginning of the month, the last two are whenever they release them. I'm assuming tomorrow, but, could be next week too. Last year the final beta was first week of August, and the stable was the last week of August.
Also last year there were only 5 betas, so I wouldn't be looking too hard at past release schedules, especially with how vague they made this year's timeline (on purpose, so that they can adapt a bit, should they need to)
Beta is live now

Finally i hope i get my vibrations back
Just finishing installing Q beta 6, let's see how it is?
Ugh, still no swipe down anywhere on the homescreen to bring down the notification shade, like every frigging third party launcher has had for years.
Developers have said it was coming in Q 5 or Q6

Whatever happened to the Oneplus 3 Nougat update?
With a great fanfare Oneplus announced that they had met the end of 2016 prediction for releasing this. However I'm in the UK and still haven't received the update. I know Oneplus said it would be a staged roll-out, but it is now eighteen days. I can't understand how it can take this long. Does anybody have an explanation for the hold-up and an idea when the roll-out will be complete?

This thread doesn't really state when the ota will be pushed out to US OP3 phones? I know I can get via VPN and changing server but I don't want to have playstore issues as some have encountered. Why hasn't it been pushed to certain countries?
That's weird because I got mine and I'm in the US. Then again, I frequently check for updates and flash without the OTA.
They have released Nugat, oos 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2..
In6 Nougat 7.0 update
I'm in the UK and just received the Nougat 7.0 update thee weeks after the trumpeted release on December 31st. That's a lengthy roll-out wait, and it may still not be complete. The installation was smooth and for the record it is Oxygen version 4.02

The delay was because OP released 4.0.1 on 31/12/2016 and while it was rolling out, paused it and released 4.0.2. So it was actually two rollouts within 3 weeks.
If you want it faster go to the play store and get a vpn app. E.g. opera vpn. Set area to canada and search for updates. Once your device starts downloading the update you can close the vpn app and even un-install if you want it will still keep downloading the update.
Will the Android P beta 3 be released today ? Tuesday June 5th.
Don't know... would be cooool
Waiting for same
Dear god I just hope they fix when the gesture navigation goes haywire.
Normally Google likes to release DP's on Wednesdays. Tomorrow would be a prime candidate, but With Google, no one knows.
its either this week or next and dp4 should be end of month if not early next month,
It's out.
It's the 11th and I still haven't received the October update. My mothers 2XL got it a week ago and she lives with me and is on my service plan. I've had my 2XL since November 2017 and have always got the new update each month on or before the 5th -- I got the September update in August. I know it will eventually come but I'm just curious if others have still yet to get it or if you have had an update take this long to come before?

Oh, I wasn't aware this would cause an issue. Thanks for the heads up. I've been enrolled since it opened last spring.
Not enrolled in beta and still no update on T-Mobile USA.

This seems to happen every month. TMobile users seem to not get the update right away.
Update: opting out of the beta worked. Weird.

Once the official release comes out, you shouldn't be in the beta anymore. I was in beta since the begining and I got the September release on time. Still haven't gotten the October one though.

I got the September at the end of August. I still had to leave the beta program and as soon as I did I got the October update.

I find that really odd. As far as I have seen, once you sign up for the beta and the official release comes out, theres no beta program to be in anymore. I was on the Oreo beta and this is what happened. And once the Pie beta ended with the release, my phone no longer said Im on beta. You cant even sign up for beta anymore because theres no beta to be in at this point. So, I cant even see how I can opt out of something Im not on anymore in order to get the OTA update. FWIW, I got the September update on the 3rd...but then again I hit the update button every day regardless.
FWIW, I just finished setting up my 3XL last night, and that still doesnt have the Oct update, nor did it find it when I requested it.
Hi all
I've last June patch on Android 10
It's still buggy I'm wondering if xiaomi will bring this device in to a stable version or not
Otherwise I'll downgrade to pie
Any rumors on further updates?
Thanks
Stefano
Yes, you'll get another year of Google Security updates as due to Google Policy. Didn't you read the little pamphlet that came with your phone? 2 year software updates aka. 2 major android versions and 3 years of security updates.
This months was an extremely slow month for almost everything, even Windows update was late (they also have monthly security updates). Mi A2 launched it's July update 1 day ago, so we're most likely going to get that next week, but don't worry, it's not going to be August Update, it's still going to be July update... and that's just a speculation based on what happened until now. Same thing happened in April, march passed with no security update and bugfixes, and the "fixed" (or should I call it at list not bricking phones) version launched in early April (3-4 if I'm not wrong).
So yeah, don't worry, you'll get updates until next summer, just remember, it took them a lot of months to make 9 stable too, and I'm not saying that as an excuse for their update delivery, I'm just saying that this happened (not as worse) back in A9 era too.

Sorry to somewhat disappoint but I don't want to raise your hopes too much. There will be things that will be missing from this software like AptX, or like exFAT support and so on. Remember, the SD card issues that Pie had were only resolved when A10 came out... It won't be a perfect device at the end of it's life cycle but at least we can hope it'll work fine... They actually fixed some problems in the updates they gave us until now, but it's far from being a well polished system. All we can do is keep out hopes up, and hope that they took their time to actually fix the errors reported in the forums (xiaomi forum, where a mod says he reports user bugs himself).
When the release date ?
Only Google knows for sure but it looks like the phone will be announced on the 19th October and released a couple of weeks later (end October).
This is based on leaks so we don't really know.
It supposed to beat iphone 13 series so why so late
That's quite a narrow view.
Google always announce their phones around October time (the Pixel 5 was a day earlier at the end of September). They are sticking to their own schedule which is much better than reacting to the competition.
In short, they aren't late, people are just impatient
Supposedly unveil Oct 19th and pre-orders open. Devices delivered Oct 30. Really hope it is sooner or this is going to be the longest 5.5 weeks ever.

Tell me about it! I have my Pixel 5 for sale on eBay and it will get sold by end of September so maybe have to go a month with an older phone. Trying to find one as my old old old HTC 10 is properly ruined.
Mid October hopefully...
One long month to wait
Really hope that we will have a surprise and it will be unveiled on the 27th Sep.
The new chip is promising
I say this every year but I really think Google's release cycle is odd.
Announced late October likely not in the shops until November, months after the iPhone and flagship droids for the year.

I think it makes sense. No other big android releases during that time, also, just before holiday season. You know, a lot of people buying phones for people lol. And a few weeks before black Friday (week now), so us fanboys who can't wait go buy ours at full price, then in November drop the price so people holiday shopping have more incentive to buy one.
The pixel 6 page on the Google store says "coming October 19th." Wouldn't it be cool if that meant they will be available on that date? They did that with the 4 if I remember correctly. Not holding my breath, just a little too excited.
