I have a Galaxy S9 which hasnt recieved the pie update as of March 2, 2019
Phone Info:
Baseband: G9600ZCSS3ARL1
Build: r16nw.G9600ZHS3ASA1
I got this phone from Rent A Center so phone should be unlocked. And I'm currently on Cricket wireless.
The problem is, is my wife is has the same phone from RAC and is on the same contract with me and she has already recieved the update. Is there a way to push the update?
That looks like the chinese version, no idea when those will get pie.
Your baseband have not received any android pie update yet, but i guess u can flash other firmware from this website https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s9/SM-G9600/

I downloaded a firmware from sammobile I used the phone info app and went to firmware and it gave me one for my phone but when I use Odin to put it on the phone it says mdm mode cant download or something like that
Here's the picture of my phone info and the firmware it said I could download and it takes me to sammobile. I've downloaded the one from the very top
Well then wait for the official OTA.

Hi
When i bought my galaxy note 2, i received an ota update from lj1 to lj3. My CSC is switzerland unbranded (AUT).
The first time that I connect to kies I saw that didn't show the firmware version and when I force to check it says that my phone don't support initialization. I tried on my 3 computers, two running windows 7 and one windows 8 with av disabled.
So I can't update via kies.
Via ota I received only the first time, with dll7 for my CSC on sammobile, never received a notification to update. I tried to clear data for software update app to force but says your software is up to date.
I used odin to update my phone with the firmware from sam mobile. This is the only solution that works.
But it is not a official solution... And if I didn't knew odin? And the other people that don't have knowledge to do that stay in 4.1.1?
This is a big bug from Samsung and incomprehensible.
My CSC is the only with this problem?
I never root this phone and the device status is normal.
Thanks for the help

For your CSC (AUT) i think LJ3 is latest and still not update roll out yet.
I recommend to update manually with Odin, as 4.1.1 have SDS a brick bug.
You can update to any country ROM, Feb released 4.1.2 are nice ROM, and when update release for your country, you may odin again to revert to your country ROM.

I updated to DLL7 for my country a month ago via Odin, it is available on sammobile
you can check here
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-N7100&pcode=AUT#firmware
yeah but LL7 was rolled back in most of countries
So if you already have LL7 then nothing to worry about SDS and can wait for next update.

Ok, i hope that next update will be available via OTA
More one update.
I installed french rom with odin, because is the first that receive updates.
But yesterday french CSC received xmdb6 and my phone stays with xmdb2.
Via ota says that is up to date and can't update via kies because says don't support initialization.
What is the problem with my phone?

I'm new to android. I can't figure out why my phone will not OTA update. I'm on 4.1.2 I thought that I had the Sep. 4.1.2 update, but I don't and found that out when I was trying to update to the 4.3 that I've been waiting for. I'm still on version (I317UCAMC3) not (H3) which it says you need for the 4.3 update.
Every time I try to OTA update I get Software Update Interrupted, I think I've also gotten "your software is up to date"? I've also tried the Kies firmware and it says that my version is not supported to update via kies? I got the phone off eBay supposedly new and unlocked, but it's Att branded. Would being unlocked stop an update?

DO NOT OTA
you want to be on 4.3, just use the one click method, this way you dont have the locked bootloader

OTA = BAD. Wait and get one that is knox free as well.
It's not the unlocked part blocking the update. If the updated senses that the current version is not 100% stock, then it won't update. If the recovery is not 100% stock (I'm not 100% about this though), it won't update.
But you will end up in the long run being better off flashing either 4.4 (which ever cooked ROM you choose,) or waiting for the fabulous dev's here in XDA land to cook up the 4.3 version knox free, and rooted out of the box.
As far as I know the phone is stock so I still don't understand why the update won't go through. I downloaded a root checker to see if my phone was rooted and it says that it is not. since I can't figure out why the phone won't update I guess I should just root and install a rom.
Usually a custom recovery stops an official update.

I was told unless you have ***mh3, it will not update to 4.3 via OTA.
I have same issue, I have UCAMA3 and it won't do.
It seems it doesn't even have to be stock for someone I work with had **MH3 rooted and all and it updated to 4.3 OTA.
Maybe someone will be able to put out rooted stock one in the future.
my phone wont update either
I am having a similiar issue with my phone, it is rooted and will not update. I have Android version 4.1.2 Baseband version I317UCAMH3 Build JZO54k.. and I have twrp recovery. Does anyone know what I can do to receive the update? Do I have to unroot in order to receive the update? and if so can someone direct me on how to do that? Or is it better to just flash a custom rom and if so would someone be able to direct me to where I can find the instructions to do that. Thank you so much! I have flashed roms in the past but its been a while...

Hey guys, I hope someone can help me with this problem.
So, as title says, I have a problem updating my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (GT9195) Black Edition to the latest Android OS. I bought it a week ago and It runs 4.2.2 now but when I go to "About device > Software Update > Check for update" it always says that "there is no software update available at this moment". I installed Kies, connected the device via USB cable and checked for update (as a friend told me to do) ... same result.. It showed me I have the latest OS version installed. I thought that maybe 4.4.2 did not yet arrived for the users from my country but what I don't understand is why doesn't it update to 4.3 ? I see there is a 4.3 official update available and on samsung' site it shows the phone runs 4.3 JB+. That's why I don't get what is wrong with my phone.

Nothing is wrong. Each region has they all specific product code, different carrier/network could has also they own code. If it says no update, that just means no official updates. If you really want the update, check: http://samsung-updates.com/ for official firmware updates. Or simply use a custom ROM - it is one of the reasons why people chose to use custom ROM.

Well bought this phone free of contract, it's not locked in any network and I'm from Romania, Europe. 4.3 update got released many months ago so I really don't understand.... is there something about my country.
Manually installing an official ROM from Samsung-updates will not remove my warranty?

You really need to ask the local Samsung that question...
If you have Knox, unfortunately it will void your warranty, so check see if your phone has Knox buy going to download mode.
About a month ago I flashed the leaked beta version of Android pie to my Verizon Galaxy S8+. Now that the official version is rolling out, can I just simply check for an update on my phone or do I need to flash back to Verizon firmware? Thanks in advance.
If you're still on the leaked beta pie version, then checking for updates won't work. You gotta flash an earlier firmware that's bootloader 5, either CSB1 or CSA4. You can get it from sammobile. I think you also have to factory reset your device after downgrading or it will be stuck in a bootloop, then check for updates manually from your device and update to official pie.

I have a S8+ and just got the Official Verizon system update 24 to Android Pie
Today 4/6/2019
Been wanting to update my s9+ from android 9 to android 10 but I cannot do OTA since I keep getting "Unable to update the software. A network or server error occurred. Try again later" -- already tried clearing cache and changing dates.
Also tried the switch method but that just tells me my phone is up to date.
Looked around and seems like Odin was the only way to upgrade.
Just have quick question: Can I flash the firmware if I haven't unlocked my OEM?
Using this firmware and the odin software beside that page:

you certainly can flash it. the only issue youll run into is flashing the U1 version on a non U1 phone (U1 is the factory unlocked FW version). You can even get around that with patched Odin. Anyways, your answer is a yes

When you mean by patched Odin -- would it be the one that was posted here? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...encrypt_remover_add_us_ca-rriers_aio.4051751/
What would be the problem when flashing the U1 version you mentioned? I am downloading the right firmware from Samsung's website though.

the firmware mismatch alert in Odin will force a crash and not allow the flash to occur, patched Odin ignores the alert and just punches it through anyways. You can SEVERELY bork your phone with patched Odin, so be careful. Also, patched Odin is here and the best source of firmwares is sammobile.com/firmwares but use samfirm to download it as its literally 5x faster than directly DL'ing it.
