I have tested the official nightly mokee rom 9.0 for mi 6. This seem to be based on lineage os( it's almost identical) but it is so much smoother. For now it's the fastest and smoother custom ROM ever tested in my life. About stability and battery I don't know because I use only 3 days.. seem to be good but it's recommended official recovery and official website gapps. Even the gaming is outstanding. The touch latency is so low and has lot of free ram. I tested also on S4. Lineage os official lag compared mokee .
Any reviews would be appreciated thanks
Great , can u share some screenshot about the settings or feature list ? I Would change to mokee if stable ? thanks before

SElinux works in the basis that it will only allow predefined activities to be run on the system. So like fingerprint activities is common. To be enforcing the developer has to define all of these rules. Tedious and time consuming they have to do it last and it takes a while.
Permissive or disabled just means any activity can run.
Its not as safe as enforcing. But if you use root then arguably you defeat the point of enforcing anyway...
Don't worry about it unless your phone needs to be 100% secure... In which case you should be using stock MIUI anyway
Permissive is the same as disabled except it's is logging right?
Well that's true actually.. having a rootet custom rom might not be super secure anyway... lol
I have checked that @xiaobai112220 still maintain sagit repo on github
sounds promising
Did you still use Mokee? How is the battery? I'm using LOS 15.1 nightly and is not that good. If Mokee is better than Lineage maybe i will try it.
I use Mokee from 7hours and i can say, its the faster rom what i use. Battery is pretty nice. Actually have SOT 2h from 80% to 65% battery. If u want somethink more u can ask. Pages on stock internet app loading instanly.

Mokee 8.0 or 9.0? On 9.0 i got massive battery drain, for example on night time (while i'm sleeping) i got about 8-10% battery juice off, with Wi-Fi, data, gps, nfc and all those turned off. In my opinion it's very much....

Which firmware did you flash? What rom did you use before mokee?
the procedure in order to avoid problems
Clean install:
flash via fastboot official tpwr
reboot recovery
format data and all partitons
VIA ADB SIDELOAD:
install modem /firmware stable 10.2.1 global or chinese ( about 61mb)
install mokee rom 9.0 latest nightly( it has the latest march security patches with improved read write storage improvements )
install official latest gapps
reboot
for root flash magisk after first boot
How's Mokee compared to the latest PixelExperience CAF?

I am giving my girlfriend my Nexus 5x while I am out of the country and am hoping to be able to keep some of the extra features of a custom ROM like tethering, tap to wake and a custom kernel without compromising stability and ease of updating over stock.
Currently I am using the latest Nougat based PixelROM and I like the additions of it but I am unsure if the Oreo release is totally solid or easy to update. If none of the Oreo roms are stable I will just restore to stock but wanted to get opinions first.
Thanks in advance!
AICP has been stable for me since I installed it in mid-January, no force closes, random reboots, or unexpected battery drains. It's based on LineageOS though, not stock.
@jolness1: I recommend ABC, latest bullhead-update: features ≈Pixel, stable, regular updates, lovely devs.
@rp158 are you use gapps because I have battery drain on ABC (clean install) and now I use AEX extended unofficial with NanoDroid mod and rocks fine without drain.
@Luca Toni, why should I use GApps Are you sure, you took the recommended package?
@rp158 Yes , I've been on recommended gapps by ezio.

Yes you can enable camera 3 api on Viper. I have used Viper for a long time, it is really good I thing that it has been the longest time with out changing the rom. But the last 2 versions of AEX are realy realy good, i cant say better but realy close.I currently use aex, because I like tu have the latest software, even if I don't use the new features. Aex had some very big issues with performance, but they are fixed now.

Try nitrogen OS.. as smooth if not more than viper.. march security patches.. looks wise as well just like viper.. very good rom.. negligible heating.. dev is same as well for both jneto3000 .. i did not stay as i have weak network in my area and custom roms already suffer from weaker signal as compared to stock plus no video call in volte.. so had to go back to stock but definitely a good rom
Did anyone try BootleggersROM 2.1-STABLE ? Is it smooth and battery friendly like ViperOS 7.1.2 ?

Mi & 1+ are most stable & no bugs
If any bugs are there the maintainers can mix the rom.
For me the rom i awesome & perfect for me
Sorry if this is a n00b question
If I unlock my bootloader and install a custom rom I can still use banking apps so long as its not rooted?? Or will the fact that the bootloader is unlocked stop the banking apps working?

Can anyone help me to clarify my questions ( All based on custom ROM )
1. Fast charging will work on custom ROM or not ?
2. Volte & Vilte will work or not ?
3. Custom ROM will damage battery life or not ?
I can only answer your first question, because my operator doesn't offer VoLTE, but according to comments on the custom rom that I'm using (Xtended version 10) it seems to be working. Screen-on time is now over 3hrs and I have 3,5 days to go, last charge was about 3,5 days ago. So the battery lasts over a week in my situation, which is/was a little better than on the stock rom from that day, about 2 years ago.
Fast charging is working on this custom rom, yes
Ow, and OP, I have a custom rom as you can read above , my P2 is rooted, also with Magisk, and no problem at all with my banking app; it doesn't even notice me that I'm on a custom rom.

With Lineage 15.1 and sensible apps/settings/general user behaviour, the standby time is fine. Adding in rooting/tweaking it feels like it is better than before (Android 6).
However, I am still troubleshooting what appears to be 30+% reduced screen-on time and high system process power usage with/without rooting.

I have limited experience with ROMs. So please wait for people who has tested more ROMs for better feedback.
I always prefer using Custom ROMs as stock as possible. I don't ROOT or add any extra custom modification, like battery management or such extra stuff.
I have seen MiUi feels bit sluggish but gives excellent battery back-up, especially if you don't game. Productivity wise, it felt 40/50% better than most other ROMs & I guess additional battery management apps & mods (underclocking CPU/GPU, reducing system animation levels, etc) may even double that.
Thanks

Arrow Oreo last version or crdroid last version with prototype 3.18 kernel.. definitely give upto 2 days when combined with akt battery saver profile and balanced on spectrum..
Deep CAF pie also good.. can easily give upto 2 day back up of not much usage.
I recently moved away from jag Oreo latest as off screen drain was 1% - 1.2% per hour even after a week of letting it "settle"..
I don't keep WiFi/location/ WiFi scanning on at all... Just regular stuff that have on my phone..

I went through several custom ROMs and ended at Android 10 crDroid. Even though most custom ROM devs now switched to Android 11 (R) development, from my experience the R ROMs are still too new and too buggy for daily use. A custom ROM probably won't help you save much battery, but for RAM management, you'll see massive improvements given how terrible it is on stock.

Almost all of the custom ROM available for Mi A2 lite is very stable and bugless. Ram management was never a problem in custom ROMs and battery life provided by customs is very near to stock ROM ( keep in mind the battery is very old).
Banking apps should work fine. But it also depends upon the app itself. You can pass safety net and app requiring only safety net should work fine.

There isn't a "best", your experience will determine which is the best for you. I have tried POSP, arrow, crDroid 7 and all of them are very stable and up-to-date. They differ only in customizations and such. Search what do you want and see the specific features of each ROM.
Battery life and stability cannot be compared across users and different ROMs. You can choose any one of the ROMs, all of then are very good for daily usage.

Battery life and stability cannot be compared across users and different ROMs. You can choose any one of the ROMs, all of then are very good for daily usage.

Have you been able to get Android Auto running on any of those ROM's? I tried a couple of ROM's a year ago but AA never worked except on stock (which is no longer updated as we know).

I flashed latest Arrow OS, Gapps version, no root, and Android auto works on it.

I used Android 10 crDroid. More than often the bottom navigation bar became unresponsive. Real show stopper for me.

I've found unofficial LOS 18.1 the most stable. Almost no issues.
