So Long Story,
Monday November 24, I Changed Out Battery Go To Restart Phone, Phone Wont Boot Stuck On LG Screens And Constantly Retrying. Tuesday Night November 25, I ReInstall Factory Firmware For G3 D852 – With Success – Phone Working. Wednesday November 26, I Decide To Root & Install TWRP – With Success – Phone Working No Issues. Friday November 28, This Is Where Sh*t Hits The Fan! I Get Crazy & Attempt To Install ChupaChups Lollipop Rom With TWRP – Seemingly Successful Install But After Reboot Wont Boot Stuck In Fast Boot. So I Attempt To Resolve This Following Other Forum Posts Using FastBootOV – WITHOUT Success – Now When Attempting To Boot Phone LG Screen Comes Up Top Left Corner Says “ERROR Boot Certification Verify” Below That Says “590 Secure Booting ERROR!” Then Black Screen With Flashing Red & Blue LED. I Attempted To ReInstall Factory Firmware For D852 With LG Flashtool Attempt Fails Stating Wrong Model Number – Phone States On Screen Near Bottom Now D855 Ver5.0 Below That D85520A.
Finally Success With Phone December 28, After Countless Hours Trying to Find Some Shred Of Info To Resolve This Including Posting Here For Help Without A Response. I Proceed To Attempt To Reinstall Factory Firmware For D852 - Failed Same Result Wrong Model Number D855. Actual Model D852. I Then Decided F**K It Ill Install D855 Factory 32G Firmware UK Version Why Not? At This Point Phones A Paper Weight In This Time Had To Purchase Another Phone (So I Dont Lose My Mind) - All Available Information Points To Send In For Warranty. So I Do So Again Attempting To Install The D855 UK Firmware Failed To Install Using LG FlashTool, This Time Stating Partition Errors. So I Find After Random Searching & Random Reading Of Everything LG G3. I Find A Generic LG G3 DLL File (LGUP_8974.DLL). Using The Generic LG G3 DLL & Factory Firmware D852 With LG FlashTool - This Time Working Up To 89%, Phone Reboots Shows Large 2, Crossing My Fingers Waiting For The Large 3. What Actually Pops Up Is A Large 0. I Attempt To Reboot Phone Goes To Mini OS, Set Phone To Reboot Normally - AND SUCCESS!!!!!! Factory OS Boots Up, The Usual YADAYADA Setup.
So Thats All, A Long Winded Story BUT Now There Seems To A Cure To Flashing WRONG Model G3 Roms To Your Device.
Hope This Works For Everyone - I Have Devoted Coutless Hours Trying to Avoid Sending My Phone In.
Good Luck!!
I Am Unable To Post Download Link For Generic DLL File Since I Am A New Member.
I did the exact same mistake with my D852 and my LG G3 says my phone is a D855 in the firmware update, I will try this out and hopefully it works!!!!

Man, this was a long story but I am so glad you have posted this. I always wondered what would happen if I by mistake flash the wrong file (diff model), and now I know. Can you please send me the link to the info and the files, just in case I end up where you were (email: elmspace at gmail dot com), I would appreciate it.
Thanks man. I was just wondering what is going to happen to my LG g3 D856 variant if i flash D855 kdz. Now um not gonna do that. Let's not flash any rom. I successfully rooted and am using D858HK twrp ( yeah D858HK) successfully.
hi hi
hi hi same problem after i want to root the phone my LG G3 D852 my phone stuck on fastboot mode blackscreen ,my pc see it like Android bootloader Interface BUT no other programs see it try lg flash tool or lg repair tool or cmd command nothing they don't see my G3 HELP HELP PLEASE
Sorry for the no response on this problem , got the same problem last year by flashing the d850 rom to a d852 model but this solution is not recommended. It works sometimes (was working with mine but I bring it to LG because the motherboard dies for no reason after one month of use lol) but the installation can go wrong and destroy your motherboard.

Holy hell I ran into the same issue and spent countless hours getting my D852 back to life after flashing the wrong ROM. I found this and sure enough it came back!
plss help

Good day fellow XDA users!
I've been playing with my Lg v410 and as you could have guessed - bricked it (while trying to install a rom
The problem: The phone is not booting further the LG logo and the android install
I've tried:
1. Doing a hard-reset, didn't work. After getting to the hard-reset screen - I double-confirm the reset and then nothing happens (waited for about an hour and a half).
2. Entering download-mode, didn't work. It shows the "download mode" logo but nothing happens.
3. Connecting to PC, fast-boot, adb of LG Tool can't "see" the device.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
There is no .kdz released for the V410 (thanks AT&T) so download mode is kind of useless. People have tried the LG mobile support tool with the tablet in download mode, some report it is detected. However, the support tool just says you have the most recent firmware and won't restore the tablet; it is worth a try but unlikely to help.
The only way I've heard of anyone recovering from breaking the V410 to the point where all you have working is download mode is by sending the tablet to LG and having them reflash it.
You can't blame LG for this, they've released firmware for the V400 and by all accounts support it fairly well. It is some kind of AT&T thing; same with some other AT&T branded devices I have. They won't let OEMs release the firmware for devices they peddle.
Your best bet to support this tablet yourself is to nuke the laf partition and enable fastboot (since download mode is useless). At least that way you have a shot at flashing a new recovery or other stuff if something goes wrong.
Good luck. Sorry I don't have any better ideas. At one point I researched a method to create a .kdz from images of a working tablet to deliver with the LG tools, but if it is possible at all, it is beyond my developer skills.
Om it's way to LG for a reflash.
So I have a Sprint based LG G3 (LS990) and trying downgrading it to stock firmware on my desktop. However, after following all the steps, it kept saying failed; USB port open. Now I noticed the first screen on the LG Flash Tool called DBMS. I wasnt exactly sure which button to select at first, so I chose the first one. Am I supposed to be selecting China or others?
Like a lot of people I have the eu version of the h815 and managed to bootloop it after following the garbage methods online for rooting .. I came here for help and found all the methods listed... lg up, lg flashtool 2014 etc.. the problem was that my phone just wasn't recognized by the computer, it charged well but that was it, lg bridge, lg up, lg flashtool.. none could find my phone.. I thought I was doomed to a soft bricked paperweight and even began contemplating the hundreds of pounds needed to purchase a new phone.. however after hours and hours of tinkering I cracked it and now have a working lg g4 again.
first off download and install lg up dll file
then install lg up but don't open yet
find and make sure u download the correct kdz firmware file ( I needed the h81520d file which I downloaded from storage cow as devtesters didn't work for me)
now head to your computer control panel and delete(uninstall) any lg mobile drivers that you see.
connect your phone through usb into download mode and leave connected
once that's done download the old drivers (4.0.4 I believe) and not the newest 4.1.1 or whatever it is now.
then open lg up and hopefully like me you see your recognized phone.
click upgrade (not refurbish) and click bin.. right of bin is the ... symbol.
hit that, choose your kdz file and voila.. let it work its magic..
DAMN IM HAPPY. HOPE THIS CAN HELP SOME OF YOU LIKE IT DID ME.
My LG G3 kinda died in sleep. It powered off during the night and once I woke up, I tried to turn it off but it's now stuck on LG logo screen.
For a month now I've been going through other threads about this, but still can't find solution that works, I'm not sure if I missed anything.
Phone status:
- It won't boot further than LG logo screen
- From recovery mode, there is only 'Factory reset' option, which I've tried several times, but once again it gets stuck on LG logo
- I can go into Download mode but can't get it to work
So far I've tried with TOT files - LGFlashTool (version 1.5 and 1.8)
and KDZ - LGFlashTool 2014
With earlier versions (TOT files) I got message: Model check information FAIL! - Screenshot: i.imgur.com/N6sxbEt.jpg
And with LGFlashTool 2014 (KDZ) I got: Connection with server fail - Screenshot: imgur.com/wD6vWL3.jpg
While I'm not sure I'm using correct TOT files for my device (it's from Switzerland and has 6SW mark so I went with Europien files), I know that KDZ are good (I've used IMEI search option, so that's all good), but that doesn't even matter since it won't even comunicate with the damn server in the first place.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated, I've lost all hope :/
Thanks,
Matt
hi bro.
try forcing phone to boot in qualcomm 9008.
and unbrick it with board diag.
for booting phone in 9008 mode you should open back of your phone.
google G3 test point)
on xda you can find few thread about unbrick.
if you couldn't repair it send it to LG Services for repair.
