[DISCUSSION] Android 8.0 Oreo update for Honor 6x!

Not so long ago, Google released the source code for Android 8.0

So do you think Honor/Huawei will allow us to taste this new flavour of Android?

Hope so or else they will lose alot of customers in the future

Nothing confirmed, YET

What we need is a confirmation! I am planning to say goodbye to honor soon. Thankful to Huawei to let me experience nougat though! But emui isnt that impressive. Wanted to try some custom roms but they all have bad bugs with the lack of volte. So i guess its time to move on. Meanwhile, I am in love with the LG Q6 and its full vision display!

How's the gaming experience on Q6 bro?

No news of EMUI 6(Android 8.0) for most HUAWE models at this moment...

Don't worry guys, even if there won't be an official update from Huawei, third-party developers will be already at work to bring us Oreo too

Not even a leaked roadmap of updates

Dont expect for 6x because for honor 8 too it is not comfirmed

Those are the ones mentioned, as the 6x wasn't out yet. It doesn't say only them.

No. If you want root buy a T830 or T835.

I ran model SM-N976V for Verizon and with all carriers combinations on SamFirm - no result at all! How come? The model is out there, what's the big secret?

I never had any issues d/l VZW firmware using SamFirm, but heard the same bs about Sprint ROMs a while ago
Never mind - got everything downloaded, minidude2012 - please do not recommend anything anywhere if you are not 100% on the subject.

Edit: I didn't mean we will get beta, but official OneUI 5.0 pretty soon after release. A52s gets updates quite fast right after S series.

not for A52s 5g because it is only a mid ranger, the latest flagship phones get beta... I got to play with beta testing on my S9+ as it was new and flagship.

It's not a yes or no answer. It supports some T-Mobile bands but not all of them like a Samsung model would. You can go here and see which bands it supports. https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker
