What we need is a confirmation! I am planning to say goodbye to honor soon. Thankful to Huawei to let me experience nougat though! But emui isnt that impressive. Wanted to try some custom roms but they all have bad bugs with the lack of volte. So i guess its time to move on. Meanwhile, I am in love with the LG Q6 and its full vision display!

How's the gaming experience on Q6 bro?
No news of EMUI 6(Android 8.0) for most HUAWE models at this moment...
Don't worry guys, even if there won't be an official update from Huawei, third-party developers will be already at work to bring us Oreo too
Not even a leaked roadmap of updates
Dont expect for 6x because for honor 8 too it is not comfirmed

I have to say that I have a huawei ascend p6 model p6-u06 and seeing the roms ultimate has come is to cyanogenmod 11 kitkat so my dear friends shall begin to work from today April 12 in the rom based lollipop so I'll do best not to linger and bring the rom not despair ....

I am not 100% certain but he might be saying that he has started Lollipop development/porting for our device.

No offence to the OP (who only has 1 post btw), but until we actually see a Lollipop rom, or at least screenshots of the work being done, then I won't be getting my hopes up. I've seen too many promises from people claiming to work on roms, yet they never deliver.
So, until I see the evidence of these claims, I won't believe it.

Hopefully we'll get an official lollipop rom, even if it's only the Chinese version.
This is frustrating...i've seen huawei y300 with android lollipop wich is not as good as p6...and it's not so popular

huawei y300 runs on snapdragon, so comparison is not correct...

But what about the emui 3.1 firmware from the P8? If that can be ported, we can also see CM 12 based ROM's!
In Honor 8 pro Double Tap to wake up feature is missing, i was using this feature in my old honor 7.
How can i get this feature back? It is sad Huawei had skipped such useful feature.
Root is the only way I guess

And just because Samsung, LG, etc have them doesn't mean Huawei has to definitely have them.

Just to share an update with you all, we had a meet up in Delhi last week with Honor/Huawei official team and when checked for official confirmation on Oreo update for Honor 6X, they confirmed that Honor 6X will receive Oreo update by end of this year or Jan 2018.

I have bought new Honor 9. When I start Apps I recognize that they are laggy a Bit. For example Google Chrome lags a Bit anderen XDA too. Ist Türe any solutions for this or does anyone know the reason?
Ok, now I have the answer. Some Honor 9 have a software and a display bug, I have sent back the phone now and am using my old Honor 6x again.
