Hello everybody. As a part of TwrpBuilder, I'm here presenting you the TWRP recovery for LG K8 (2017) devices.
Everything works as expected. I didn't face with any issue, Please report and let me know if any bug exists.
Bugs:
OTG is listed in storage menu, however it does not work. Could be removed from the list but not a big deal tho.
Tell me if you face with any.

How to install:
Power off your phone
Reboot into bootloader mode by holding down volume up (+) button alongside power button
On bootloader screen, press volume up (+) button until the selector points out the fastboot mode. Press volume down (-) button when the selector is at fastboot mode
Connect your phone to your pc and type following command:
fastboot oem unlock
Press volume up (+) button on your phone. WARNING! This will erase all your data!
Unplug your phone from your pc and remove the battery. Turn it on and let it wipe itself. After it completes wiping,
Remove the battery
After it powers off, put the battery again
Enter to fastboot mode again (the steps above until typing `fastboot oem unlock`)
Type:
fastboot flash recovery TwrpBuilder-twrp-lge-lv3-x240-berkantkz.img
fastboot boot TwrpBuilder-twrp-lge-lv3-x240-berkantkz.img
Download `stock-remover-berkantkz.zip` from attachments and flash it via TWRP.
You are done.

Did you root your device?
I was waiting for the phone to open the phone after I was opened after I was waiting for the phone I would have expected the device that I was clean the welfault I was in the wrong phone that I was opened twERP and Fastbooth just turned on the twist in the DBRPD just fastboots just staying on the FRASTBOOT

You can find stock firmware on the internet. Search for "lg k8 2017 x240ar firmware". You could flash using SP Flash Tool.

I'm not sure. I'm currently working on Lineage OS 14.1. It goes well but I've some issues in terms of battery and the screen on my phone. The warranty period is close to end. So, I've been thinking of sending it to customer care before it ends. It might take a month or so until it is repaired or replaced.
Also, I currently do not own this device. My dad owns it. Me and my dad are living in different cities. I'm here with my dad for a short time. This means that even if I get back the phone from customer care, I won't be able to work on it as my dad will use it and we'll have been living in different cities.

Seems like I'll discontinue it for some time. I'm going to deliver my phone to customer care. It'd either last for a week or a month to repair it. Anyway, I could share the rom itself so the others could also fix the issues.

No, you absolutely cannot use this recovery on your device. Your device has a completely different chipset which means that this recovery is not compatible with your device.
I don't know anything about your device. Better search for a custom recovery for it, or build yourself.

After i install TWRP Recovery i can't get straight into Recovery Mode, my device automatically reboot and i can't get by adb

yeah I just followed the instructions..
wipe cache-dalvik cache-system-data
flash CM11 ROM, I forget which version is but I think CM11-R24
without wipe anything, flash sailfish-os directly, it takes a while longer than usual
reboot system
that's it
nice and smooth but not a daily driver
well it is very smooth and fluid
gestures are working well
there are many things that are not working like-
camera,
media files are not getting detected,
some of menus in settings are not getting shown like bluetooth and wifi,
RIL (no bars)
Double Tap to wake is not present ,have to press the power key

go to recovery mode
wipe data, system, cache
first flash the cm11 file
and then directly (without wiping anything)
flash the sailfish-os file
it will take time so don't panic

I have followed as u stated but still stuck at logo waited for 30mins still no change and it is showing a white color led notification
This is my configuration :
Kernel : Xceedxcelerate
TWRP : 2.8.7.0

Don't install any custom kernel. Just flash cm11 then sailfish.

My phone already fixed from bootloop after i flashing stockrom version A7000-A_PLUS_S141_1509022_ROW.like suggested by @nickabeast even though he didn't provide download link ...if anyone having problem with unsuccessful flash other ROM i suggest try s141 version search it from google .
if your using spftool to flash twrp go under option>options>check all under DL/DA

I had to downgrade my lenovo A7000 after I upgraded to Android N since camera, wifi, tethering, Bluetooth and camera failed.
I did it with SP tool v5.164 using A7000-aPLUS-USR-S308-160181541-V2.39(by firmware file.com) but my phone got stuck at boot logo
As per the thread discussed over various forums I tried various other ROMs such as
Lenovo A7000a-S223-160405-ROW-WC814D6764
& Lenovo A7000a-Plus-S141-1509022
Now I get no display but my PC recognises the mobile MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM (Android) (in Computer management) also there is charging indicator on my phone
But as I run flash tool the PC MGMT console detects the phone only for short while (with battery)
Then I get brom error
Please help

Are you both using the DualSIM variant (G8142)? I built and tested this on the SingleSIM (G8141) so I wouldn't know if there is any potential issue with the DualSIM one. Though, the recommendation to boot using the Power+Vol down combo is probably what you need to try.
EDIT: shouldnt be because of magisk. I'll upload a build that specifically uses the DualSIM kernel, maybe thats what causes your issue.
EDIT2: I derped, there is no DualSIM specific kernel, so your issue must be cause by something else.

No I'm on single sim so no worries. It works perfectly! I held power+volume down and it went straight into twrp.

No, I had Magisk installed when flashing this.

I suppose that unlocking the bootloader is necessary to flash the recovery?

That's an issue with TWRP 3.1.1-0.
Older versions of TWRP can mount just fine.

Is your sdcard exFat formatted by any chance? I think that might be the cause. Will look into that later today.

It's not an issue you created but an old issue. Maybe they changed something from the old twrp versions in 3.1.1-0 and now it wont mount because of how its formatted like you said.
When I had the XZ/XZs I always used the old twrp version so it was never an issue for me but now it would be nice to find a solution for it I guess.
I ran blkid in terminal and it said ext4

Had the wrong mount path (that came from the fstab I added, AP had the correct path).
Also enabled exFat support.

Just uploaded TWRP-3.1.1-0-maple-20170720-3.img
This fixes USB OTG (tested and works), and fixes formatting the SDCard inside TWRP. I also removed V1 and V2 as they both could have gone very wrong when trying to format the USB OTG device. (The path was mapped to /dev/sda, which on maple is.. well.. the UFS storage, and therefore contains the bootloader).
Hence I strongly recommend upgrading to V3.

Everyone HAS to upgrade to V3 as soon as possible!
The previous versions are really dangerous and can hard brick your device!

How to boot in recovery from system?
My device with build: 45.0.A.5.1 after "adb reboot recovery" just reboots in system. From powered off state boots in TWRP correctly.

Full wipe and then flash this,simple as eating
Mine already installed and was very fast.
I did a full wipe.
I changed the DATA partition file system to F2fs.
Does he now receive the updates?

The back camera isn't working the selfie one is ok,trying to fix that in v2.1 because tomorrow 2.0 is released officially and you can update it

Hello, i need a rudge help here, i don't know what else to try anymore, i unlocked my bootloader, flash TWRP 32-Bit and then flashed the 64-bit version (both 3.2.1.0) and then flashed the Cosmic OS ROM, and after that, i can't get the network or even signal to work, i've tried a lot of ways, everyone says that the solution is only flash the PixelExperience, but this not solve my problem, i've tried so far: PixelExperience 8.0 and 8.1 on TWRP 3.1.1.0 and 3.2.1.0, Flash stock rom (the first one and the november one), i flashed again the Cosmic OS, i flashed the Atomic OS, i flashed the crDroid 4.0 and a Stock rom via TWRP, nothing did the trick.
I'm going crazy here, i don't know what else i can do, my phone is useless this way.
Can someone PLEASE help me?!
