If you are using any European Union display language try to use any non E.U. language like U.S. English. Sounds strange, but when I use U.S. English instead of German I get about 40% more volume.

Volume steps doesn't raise the volume level at all, it just adds more steps.

Official Roms and incoming call's audio level

I cant get to put the incoming voice level to completely minimum , or may be level 1 or 2, its always in level 3 and can increase it to max. is this new officil rom bug, or something wrong with my phone's hardware. which by the way was working perfectly with black majik rom.
did you install any applications? like phone alarm??
i have an idea to make sure the problem is not from the rom do hardreset and directly make phone call to see if this problem there or not!!
I had installed but removed it

I haven't notice that kind of bug (I can change volume from the bottom till top), but this is true that new ROM has much louder in-call volume, even with minimum level. I've pointed that already in some other thread.
But can u make it completely zero

What do you mean by 'zero volume'? Scroll the volume bar to the bottom, or mute volume completely? I can do both, actually, however muting is done by tapping a button on the screen.
I cant do that

I've just checked, and it is changing a volume while going down to the bottom, and I can hear a difference between level 3 and 0...
After reflashin rom still problem
i re-flashed the official extract rom from dopod, still the problem persists, of controlling minimum volume of coming call. it just doesnt go to the mininum volume of zero level.
I've the same problem. The volume slide can go up or down during calls but doesn't seem to have any effect to the volume that's coming thru the phone.

Missing Screen Lock and Keypad sound

Does anyone else has this problem?
My GN won't play lock/unlock screen sound even "Screen Lock Sound" is checked.
My GN won't play Keypress sound even "Sound On Keypress" is checked.
Anyone has any idea what would be the cause..?
I have looked in /system/media/ui and all the sound files are there. It just won't activate the sound. Is there any step I have to do first to make it play sound?
bump bump bump
Have you turned down the system settings sounds? They can be turned down individually from the global ringer sounds I believe.

Plus, I don't have any system volume in the sound settings...
Only:
-Music, vids etc...
-Ringtones & notifications
-Alarm...
Does anyone has the same issue?
Sorry for my english though.

Nope you're not.
Use an app to access it, e.g. audioguru (free).

WOW.. that is just wow. Install Audioguru and BAM! My system volume is 1 >.> now change to max and I have all those sounds WOOOOT!!1!!!111!!!!!
Thank you so much!!!
BTW, If I never use Audioguru before so that means I wont be able to access to system volume then how on earth system volume is set down to "1" in the first place? Or "1" is default volume?
WTF!!! Really. So that is a known bug?

No idea. I can't remember ever having direct system volume access in any of my previous 4 Android phones. It's more a minor inconvenience rather than a bug IMHO.
I noticed this issue last week, no one seemed to care: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371922
same issue:
all the sound went ok until i installed chainfire3d driver yesterday. I then loss both my lock/unlock sound and touch sound.
i am happy to find a solution this thread.
thanks guys.

[Q] Volume output adjustment?

OK pros..... All of my FTV units have lower volume output via HDMI than my Ugoos UT3 or my Raspberry. There's a way to boost it in the Raspberry Pi with an over 100% setting and I'm hoping that there is some way to do it in the FTV as well. My hearing isn't the best and with it's lower output I'm having to turn my TV up almost all the way to hear it well. Is there and adjustment to allow going more than 100% or a second volume adjustment in the unit to boost it to equal my other units? All of my now 5 TFVs have equal output, but it's lower than my Raspberry and all of my other android units.
Really need a rewarding answer here! Thanks in advance for any help!
There's a volume amplification setting within XBMC, but I'm thinking you want it for the whole device. Not sure about that.
Haven't tried it but if you are rooted you could sideload the settings.apk and see if you can adjust the volume with it.

Can you tell me where it's located?.... I've only been able to find types of output rather than an actual volume setting. I don't recall if it's just within XBMC or with the entire unit.... It might not be an issue with other apps in FTV.... I'll try out Netflix and see.

In XBMC, start a movie and hit the select button to bring up video OSD settings. Arrow over to the audio icon and select. That will bring up a dialog box. Using arrow keys to navigate and select button to edit. 1st item is master volume, make sure it is 100% (all the way to right). 2nd item is the volume amplifier, put it to about 7% and try it. You don't want to change this anymore than needed.

That's what I was looking for, only on my other units you can do if from an audio menu rather than when a film is being viewed. Does this need to be done for each film viewed or do you know if it will retain the settings?
Thank you very much!
Same place, last one is make default for all videos. But not sure that setting requires that. Not at home to confirm it

Yes you will have set as default. Mine is set at 9 to match my regular tv/cable volume level.
Thanks very much... I appreciate the help from all! Still looking for the advanced settings apk, but will try the XBMC volume adjust shortly.... It's about that time!
Update: Just tried it and that's exactly what I have with my little Raspberry and my other Ugoos. Set the secondary to about 6 or 7 and it works perfectly! Thanks so much!

Do not disturb with Tasker? Is there a way to make it work?

I set two time profiles to control dnd setting automatically for the night.
First I set it to priority. Second profile then resets it to none as that removes the priority icon from toolbar. I realised that all sounds are gone after that.
If I set it to all, priority icon stays in status bar.
I tried also to do just a single profile with ending time, but that also left priority icon to the bar.
Is there a way to get priority mode to work with tasker?
What are you trying to achieve? If it's setting DnD for the night automatically, you don't need tasker for it. Have you tried using automatic rules in DnD settings?

I have same issue and I can't find solution yet. I use set volume as workaround.
Oneplus seriously damaged DnD. Shame.

Adjusting volume is not that good.. Nothing comes through with that. I'd like to be reachable by phone for known callers. I quess we have to wait cyanogen to fix the rom
I've had the same issue. Tasker will remove the 'priority' status but screws up the volumes. The only way round it at the moment is to leave slider in normal, use tasker to set priority when needed, then on return to 'normal' from tasker move slider to mid position then back to normal. This seems to reset volumes back to normal. Hopefully oneplus can sort out this DND issue and allow software to override the slider.

I've found a way. Leave slider in mid position (priority) and use the inbuilt priority settings to allow normal audio to be heard. I've got tasker to set DND to priority and volume to 3. When full DND is needed, set tasker DND to 'alarms'. This kills all audio except alarms. Use tasker to go back to DND 'priority' for normal use. This does leave a constant priority notification at the top but audio seems to work. By using tasker/audio/silent mode, you can create a vibrate only mode that stops audio but keeps vibrate notifications with respect to the priority mode settings at a system level.

Good catch! You can delete the constant priority notification through Customisation/ Status bar

Nice one! You can then add custom tasker notify icons to display silent or vibrate modes.

One thing I realised is that having the slider in the mid position i don't get any notifications (without activating DnD).
Any thoughts?

Mine seems to work. On the alert slider settings make sure you have calls and messages set to 'everyone' under the priority settings. For other apps like Gmail or WhatsApp, go to 'app notifications' under sound and notifications and set them to notify when in priority mode. This is a bit of a pain but gets over the software controlled notifications issue until oneplus can sort something out.

Aha! Key was to set all apps under "app notifications" to notify when in priority! Now i think its working!
Many thanks!
I know it's a kind of trolling but somebody may not realise this - by using CM13 you have the best of both worlds built in.
You have stock android DND (automatic) and you can also customise what the button does. [I don't use neither of these features but noticed them in CM settings panel while setting up my device]
Hey @yourmate
Anything else missing/not working properly beside Dash Charge on CM? I am waiting to make sure it is stable (one thing I cannot afford are random reboots). For example, I am not using them, but curious, are the Op3 gestures available or gone? (V and O to enable flashlight/Camera - CM's anywhere gesture was not great I thought)
Automated DnD is for me the main issue on Op3, and I also liked CM's auto-brightness/Night mode. Kind of feel going back several years haha

TBH I haven't used OOS for a second so I cannot really compare the two but I've bought this phone only for two reasons anyway:
- dual SIM
- official CM support
Sorry for being a bit OT
Sounds great guys. I guess I'll just ditch OOS for CM this week end then and forget all that DnD shenanigans once and for all

With OOS 3.2.2 DND works correctly with tasker!
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
I can also confirm everything seems fixed in OOS 3.2.2. I can set the alert slider to any position and then run a tasker task to set vibrate only, all audio or silent mode. The slider can be used to override the tasker setting but tasker can be run again to re establish the desired sound profile.
Sent from my OnePlus 3.
I can confirm that this is resolved with OOS 3.2.2
Strange that my device couldn't find the 3.2.2 update. Installed it manually via TWRP without problem though.

Same here. It seems more a Pie than a device specific issue.
Silly question, but you haven't turned the ring volume down? Or engaged vibrate/do not disturb?
