My top speaker has more bass than the bottom one
This is normal?
Bottom speaker has thiner sound too
I noticed the top is louder in general. Noticed when I was holding it in landscape. If you cover the top one and listen, versus the bottom one and listen, the top speaker is definitely louder. So no, it's not just your phone.

My mobile phone does not have this phenomenon, what is your mobile phone version now? Have you had this problem since the purchase? How much louder do you think the top speaker is than the bottom speaker?

May I ask what is the version of your mobile phone system? I'd like to test each version to see if they change.

190 is coming oon with A.I portrait shots from videos
I gave also noticed that the top speaker is louder with more bass than the bottom
Like most have said putting the set up in mono sounds alot louder and fuller which I prefer to the stereo set up
If I stick my ear right against the speakers. Then the top one is slightly louder.

I feel that my bottom speaker has a louder or deeper bass than the top.
And my top speaker has more treble than the bottom.
Is that normal.

Nope, I had the exact same feeling with the m7, where there was more treble on top and more bass down, but the m8 is pretty much perfect for me.. Go get yours repaired if it bothers you
Couldn't just be the way the song is mixed that you are listening to? Not all mixing is done 50/50 for stereo left and right. Some have more vocals on left or right channels as well as bass/guitiars/keyboards. I know it's old school, but pull out any old Van Halen recording.....guitar on left channel only and bass on right. Drums are center.

Does anyone else notice that behind the top half of the phone the speakers vibrate? Would like to know if this is only my phone or if it's standard across every other Z5P. Kinda annoying vibration with mid+ volume.

Mine does this too. The bottom speaker sounds tinnier than the top one. That's probably why the top one vibrates.

Same for me on Z5P e6853, although some of my a/v files do seem to be a bit loud/overdriven.
Could it be something in codecs, maybe some adjustments can be made in one of the media_ .xml files ?
I'm spitballing that idea becuase other media files seem to play well and carry quite nicely.

Could be, it's hard to say. As it looks right now, it seems like the bottom speaker is generally weaker than the top one.

I finally realized why the top speaker vibrates more than the bottom. If you tap the phone lightly on the back at the top and bottom you'll hear that the top feels more empty than the bottom.
The top speaker must have a bigger area for itself without being densely packed with other components, which makes the back panel directly affected by the speaker.
The bottom speaker is fitted in a place with more components (or something else), which gives the speaker direct contact with other surfaces than the back panel, that transfers the vibrations more evenly.
A reason why the bottom speaker is distorting at lower frequencies could be because the vibrations travels through other components that is more prone to give those nasty distortions.

My G8's volume is lower in the upper speaker than in the lower speaker.
Is your G8 the same too?

LG G8 doesn't have upper speaker. It has only lower speaker and sound from the screen. If you mean that so yes it really sounds not as loud as lower speaker.
It seems there are 2 "speakers" in the screen. You can actually see them if you have no protector on and angle the screen in certain ways or put some liquid on the glass.

I thought there's something like a strip of speaker inside a screen.

Thank you for answering. Its meaning is correct.
I was able to improve the volume difference by using DTS.
If you adjust the equaliser and put everything on high it makes it even louder.
Try it.
Hi everyone,
I tried a stereo speaker test (youtube) and I hear that the speaker on the bottom is always a bit louder than the one on the top, no matter what volume percentage I am on. It is not really noticeable in everyday use, but I am a bit paranoid if this is normal with the phone.
Could you tell me if this is also the case with your phones as well?
Thank you in advance.
Yes, it is normal on phones with stereo speakers.
That's cos the top one is an earpiece, not actually a speaker while the bottom one is a speaker, it has those little balls in the speaker housing too to boost audio. Checkout one of JerryRigEverything's teardowns if you've never seen that before.
Normal from my OnePlus experience.

Not only OnePlus. Had s10e before and had bottom speaker louder than the top one.
Looks like a number of devices have a factory flaw which results in either of speakers rattling/trembling (not sure what the right word in English is) when playing certain types of frequencies.
The upper speaker of my own device is affected.

I've not listened to loud music on my smartphones ever. The device came with this defect from the get go.
