When i use one finger and swipe it, and scroll down all my orders in one fast move on Aliexpress or some other things/sites, it goes not very fast on my L29.
When i does the same on my old Zenfone 3 ultra, it goes like turbo fast.
Any way i can change this? Its really annoying.

Hello all,
I´d like to know, if there is some way of ajdusting scrolling friction on rooted Pixel 3 XL? I like the phone very much (testing it with S10+ besides) and only one thing which I really don´t like on Pixel is scrolling behaviour. On S10+, scroll is perfect for me, but overall, I like Pixel more, so I´d like to tune scrolling on Pixel if there is some way? Don´t you know about anything guys?
I am talking about when you give the screen a little nudge to scroll up or down, and it come to a slow, soft stop (S10+), or it comes to a rather abrupt stop like Pixel.
Thanks a lot.
there is
something about fling velocity
adding a line or two in the build.prop does it i cant remember it from the top of my head but if you google it im sure you can find it
Finger gestures is my biggest complaint about this device, and is enough reason for me to hate it. I can't wait to switch back to Samsung.
mine is rooted, and I would be interested to know about options here as well. I googled around but didn't find anything specific.
Anyone like me coming from having OnePlus phones for a while missing it? Seriously think I might switch back to OnePlus when the new phone launches in a couple weeks. Anyone else miss having the alert slider, a better gaming mode where notifications aren't all up in your business and off screen gestures?
Only thing I miss from my 7 pro was the fingerprint sensor.
I'm getting the muscle memory down with the s20+ now though. I really like my s20+
I miss the well thought-out, light and fast at everything nature of OOS no matter what all other phones I use.

i don't miss anything
I loved my OnePlus 6t, I might of stuck with them..but the minute I saw the curved screen rubbish I was out. Granted the S20+ has a slight curve but nothing drastic.
Loved oos..it's the slickest and most fluid operating system out there beyond pure android. Battery was great. Fingerprint and facial recognition much better but..the camera was just "ok"..
To be fair if I wasn't on Nightshift bored off my face getting all exciteable I may well still have my 6t
Edit- yes the alert slider..very handy
Not missing my 7T Pro McLaren. Especially because of that crazy curved display that was so annoying. Software is quick and snappy but overall Samsung's package is just more refined and polished. Plus, Micro SD support is king, IMO. I have a ton of music and other files I rather keep locally than rely on the cloud. But that's just me.
Last year I jumped around several OP phones. I like them and the alert slider is nice but I never had a real need to regularly change my alert settings enough to need a dedicated switch. Having wireless charging back is also welcomed. I like just dropping my phone on my charging pad so quickly when I'm not using my phone. Always staying charged.
I do think OP phones are a great backup device option, though. I may pick up a 7T again to keep as my secondary.
Hi everyone!
I'm a owner of a new Galaxy S20! Nice, small design, everything is working fine - execpt the Fingerprint sensor...
It is very bad, i scanned the same finger 3 times (as three single fingerprints) but it is still very bad in recognizing my FP! And the speed of unlocking isnt as good too...
Coming from an OnePlus 7t, i am defenitly shocked
For that price as a flagship i expect a bit more...
Maybe some of you can help, or have tips for me for "tuning" my FP sensor!
Thx a lot!
Not really. Making sure your hands are clean helps a lot - it's reading the raised section of your fingerprint as they press against the glass, if your hands are dirty the crevices get full and make it harder to see them.
To be fair, the first gen optical sensor on the 6T and the slightly improved one on the 7T 7 Pro are literally just cameras that compare photos to ones in memory. They're fast because they aren't super accurate. The ultrasonic ones on Samsung devices are more accurate but slow and finnicky. Honestly, I preferred the old style ones on the back, they were better in both regards.
It's slow and usually fails a couple of times on me as well. I switched to using face recognition and I'm very happy with it... I was surprised at how quick it is.
I have scanned my finger twice as well as added face unlock, and works pretty much always
Turn off Optimize Battery Usage for com.samsung.android.biometrics.app in Settings.
I have really dry hands (fingers). Usually takes me a few tries to unlock. And yes I've done all the tricks to try and speed things up.
Taking off the screen protector helps a lot, but ya its as bad as the s10 one.
Scanned my finger 9x's today before it decided to say "oh yeah, I know you." Coming from a OP7 PRO 5G, this is absolute garbage! Going to disable it and try the face recognition.
I am having similar issues. A couple of things that helped:
- disabled battery optimization for com.samsung.android.biometrics.app
- re-enrolled the finger (once) while holding it longer and at a different angles
I am also trying to train myself to touch and wait patiently until it unlocks.
Face recognition is not great imo...
If I disable biometrics app battery optimization and remove fingerprint animation it seems to be a little snappier. I came from 7pro and op has a larger sensor but I got used to s20+ and don't have any issues as long as I place my thumb on the right spot lol.
I left the stock screen protector it came with and I have no issues at all. I see a lot of people complaining that it doesn't work or that it sucks, but i personally love it. NEVER going to use face recognition or whatever else is there.
Same problem
Multiple presses to get in on 2 fingers. Phone keeps telling me to press harder!?!?! The phone will go back to Korea if press any harder.
So I recently switched to a Galaxy S22+ from a OnePlus 5t. One thing I noticed is when let's say I am to swipe through reddit up and down very fast, it doesn't feel powerful like it's not swiping up and down much faster as I am swiping up and down. Is there any option or dev option to satisfy this?
You mean to heat up the screen or what kind of power, heat or pressure maybe
So I just switched from my Oneplus 7T Pro to the s22 ultra
The samsung overall is so much faster and powerful but in the oneplus there was a feature like when the screen was locked if you drew an O the torch would switch on or if you draw a V so it's another command. On the s22 ultra however there's no features like this so I was wondering if there are any apps or anything that can help with this

I'm in the same position. I'm missing the OnePlus screen off gestures. I notice how frequently I used the two finger downward swipe to play and pause music. I'm interested if there are any third party apps that do this.
