I am a huge fan of the native gestures from the pixel 2 and pixel 3 however, the gestures on the full screen mode of MIUI are a bit annoying at times. Is there a way to get the Native Android 9 gestures for MIUI on the Mi MIX 3?

Check XDA news feed. There is a magisk module that does it
Is there a non root option?

I'm curious, for those running Android P. Who's using the gestures vs Navigation bar vs something else like OnePlus gestures/XDA navigation gestures.

Ive been using edge gestures with immersive mode since last year and love it. I tried the Android p gestures and couldn't stand it.
I don't have Android P yet but when I get it I will be turning the gestures off. I hate gesture based navigation. Not intuitive at all.
Been using gestures daily since DP3. It was really laggy and stuttered with DP2.

Yeah, they work fine now on the latest beta. No issues like before. The only big problem I have with them is they still take up the same amount of screen space. Wish they could figure that out. And ditch the back button arrow in favor of a left swipe of the pill.
Android P gestures and I like it, but I wish there would be a built-in "back" gesture
I use xposed edge pro. It can do just much more than the other options.
Inonow you are asking about android P, but this will likely be what I use when xposed is updated to P. And this is also the reason I will in all likely hood stay on oreo until xposed has been updated.

I'm using 'OnePlus gestures'* (along with 'hide nav bar') which has this. The app is working flawlessly for me, and is what the Android P gesture UI should have been.
I'm helped by the fact that I also use a OnePlus 5t, so I keep trying to use those gestures on my Pixel anyway!
*The app is not free, but it's one of the best apps I've bought.
I tried the navigation gestures app from xda and has many more ways to customize the gestures, but ultimately, navigating using just the bottom edge of the screen is not comfortable and much slower than on screen buttons. IMO, Gestures should be triggered from anywhere on the screen, but still won't be as fast
Hi guys,
Does anyone know whether there is a ROM available that implements navigation gestures like OxygenOS on the OnePlus? I am not talking about a few apps that allow you to configure gestures and hide the navbar., but a fluid implementation like on the OnePlus with proper animations / transitions
Cheers

You can get the gestures with apps but you can't get the animations since no one has that
Somebody would need to port the animations first which no one has done

I know you posted this a while ago but I'm looking for something like this too. I have tried the gesture apps but it doesn't look complete because the animations don't really match. The only ROM that I've found that has a decent animation is COSP. watch at 35 seconds to see the app close animation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9laYATUFYQ

That close animation is also in Lawnchair 2 launcher. you can find it HERE
Honestly I much prefer the gestures on Q to OP, swiping from the edge for back is imo better than swiping up from bottom left or right.

I just tried installing lawn chair but the close animation seems the same as the original animation, is there a setting somewhere?
Edit: Nevermind, realized I had to install the quickswitch magisk module.
Does the 7T still have Oneplus' own gesture navigation or does this phone only come with the standard Android 10 gestures? (I know the navbar buttons are still there if preferred)
OP's nav. gestures have been replaced with Google's.

I am pretty sure you can choose whether to use Android 10 gestures, or Oneplus's as before (swipe from down L or R for back), I saw this screenshot somewhere.
On screenshot I saw it was option: Gestures (left right) or Gestures (bottom), so I am almost 100% positive, you can choose.

This is right. You get an option to select Gestures (left right) or Gestures (bottom)
No, OnePlus 7T does not have OnePlus' gestures. It only has Google gestures. And I've read on the forums that some other model, I think OnePlus 7/7 Pro, also had them removed in Android 10 update.

I hope they add them back...Oneplus 7 had kept them though in Android 10...
I have the device, it is really annoying that it only has the google one. If only they added it back. Anyone found any workaround?
Using vivid navigation gestures from app store and works well. No more assistant and can use lmt pie launcher again.
I'm late to owning the 7t so I have no experience with the OnePlus gestures.
I'm curious to know what advantages it has over Google's gestures?

Can not be disabled?
What gestures do you guys use ?
Do you find google gestures reliable ?

I'm using the ones introduced in OneUI v1 on the S9. "Full Screen Gestures", "Gesture Hints" is off.
I don't use the new Android 10 ones, because I use Nova Launcher, and there's an issue with the new gestures when using a 3rd party launcher (Every Android 10 device. This isn't a Samsung Issue.
Im using fluid navigation gestures, all but the bottom gestures work great. But i have setup FNG so that i really only need side gestures anyway.

I looove Android 10 gestures but the lack of support on 3rd party launcher is awful so I use Samsung's gestures with hint off. Hopefully Android 10 gestures will support 3rd party launcher soon
I'm still on Pie, using Samsung's gestures. The main reason I left the beta was the lack of support for Nova launcher. Any word from the folks who have the stable version? Have they fixed the launcher issue yet?
I am using nova with full screen gestures. To enable use adb - adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural

If i do that is it somehow possible yo use a gesture to open the notification bar from any app? Not only in Nova.

Full screen gestures(sides for back version) work fine with oneplus 7 pro on Android 10 w/ nova launcher, so far only Samsung disables them if using a third party launcher.

Android 10 nav gestures on 3rd party launchers?!? It that's correct, this is the best news of the days
The back gesture with swipe on either side of the screen is super annoying. In apps like discord or Amazon or any app with the option to swipe from left side to open menu bar is pointless now.
You have to press the menu bar icon in the top left corner now. They should give us an option for which side of the screen can be used for back gesture

Nova was straight up blaming Google. The December security patch notes state the full screen gestures now work with 3rd party launchers.
My guess is either One Plus fixed it themselves, or they included whatever fix Google did for the Pixels.

yes but I think you cannot access the recent apps
Hi, i found here two threads but both are about rooted device. I'm interested is there any chance to get it without root? Especially no buttons in bottom and screen slides instead of that ?
About the buttons, that is an Android system setting for gestures. Read more here:

I use the Lawnchair launcher. It tries to do all that the Pixel launcher does, and more. You'll want the new version 12 alpha 5, which you can get from their Telegram channel, not the old one on the Play Store.
Or install ArrowOS, which includes Lawnchair.
