Pixel Launcher 12 on Stock Pixel 2XL (without root) - help? - Google Pixel 2 XL Questions & Answers

Hi, i found here two threads but both are about rooted device. I'm interested is there any chance to get it without root? Especially no buttons in bottom and screen slides instead of that ?

About the buttons, that is an Android system setting for gestures. Read more here:
Android 10 gestures: Everything you need to know
We go over the Android 10 gestures that are part of the 2019 mobile operating system. One Android 10 gesture helps to launch Assistant.

I use the Lawnchair launcher. It tries to do all that the Pixel launcher does, and more. You'll want the new version 12 alpha 5, which you can get from their Telegram channel, not the old one on the Play Store.
Or install ArrowOS, which includes Lawnchair.

remove google search + other questions.

Hello, I just got my new to me, unrooted refurb 3a XL and have a few questions regarding changes I'd like to make without having to root my device:
- Can I move the clock to the right side?
- When using pixel launcher, can I remove the google search? I disabled Google app & rebooted; but still can't remove it.
- Any way to enable gestures + Nova launcher? It's greyed out when choosing Nova launcher.
Thank you.
The december update (released yesterday) allows you to use gestures with 3rd party launchers. Update your phone.
Thank DriveEuro, that did the trick.
Any way to get the vertical recent apps instead of horizontal? I understand in Android 10 it's baked in the OS and can't be disabled by removing the pixel launcher? Any way around it?

Any modifications to OneUI launcher on Android 10?

Android 10 has been great and one of the greatest additions is gesture navigation.
One thing that has completely sucked however, is the fact that you can't use 3rd party launchers with native gestures. On my Pixel 4 XL, I'm able to use lawnchair and some Magisk modules to modify Google's home launcher so I can use my own icons, etc. while also using native gestures, but there appears to be nothing that I can do to OneUI with a locked bootloader.
Are there any recommendations, or anything I can do? My Note 10+ is amazing but the launcher is really hindering the experience. I strongly dislike the folder layout, and just how cartoonishly large the icons are.
Nova launcher, good lock, fluid navigation gestures

You need to root your device, install lawnchair Q Alpha APK, install magisk modules: Quickswitch and Fullscreen Navigation Gestures. We have a telegram chat and we can all advise how to get you up and running.

Just saw the Google feed in OnePlus 8 series

Guys, I just watched the review of OnePlus 8 in MKBHD. In his video while saying about the OnePlus launcher he showed a new feature that both the Google Feed and OnePlus launcher could be accessed by swiping to the leftmost and rightmost respectively. I just updated the OnePlus launcher (to 4.4.2) from the APK mirror but I couldn't find this feature. Could you guys please check?
There're some new features in this latest version like while in home screen, if we swipe up (for app drawer) and hold it'll open the 'app search'.
probably all the apps in new OnePlus 8 would be different versions. Someone had to pull those apks from there or we need to wait a while for update.
The search gesture is added in 4.4.2 already.
The OnePlus Launcher from the OnePlus 8 is older than what's on APKMirror. Sideloading it will not enable Google Discover on older OnePlus phones - I already tried it.

Working Solution for Hiding the Navbar and Using Third-Party Gestures in Android 11

Wanted to share a fairly straight forward solution to using third-party gestures, like FNG , in Android 11 on the OP8 Pro. This requires root access. I am on the latest Android 11 update and so far I have not had any issues. Apologizes if that has already been posted. Credit goes to the OP Veiran. See the link below.
Couple things to do first.
1. Enable the static navigation bar instead of the stock gestures.
2. Make sure you have your third-party gesture system configured, enabled and working before doing this.

Question Kinda miss my OnePlus 8 Pro

1. So, with the rootless pixel launcher, is there any way to get Google Feed by swiping to the right? I know there's a Rootless Pixel Bridge, but it's not installing correctly.
2. I KNOW i'm stuck in 2008, but I'd like to swap home and recent buttons. Is there a fix for this?
Not sure if One Handed Operation plus will work on non-Samsung phones. If it does it will do just about anything you want it to.
It's on Playstore so it might...
