Unmount a migrated SD-Card - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello,
in Android it is possible to migrate the SD-Card, so that the memory of the phone and the SD-Card are together. I did this, but my SD-Card is slow and a lot of memory get's lost when migrating.
Is there any way to unmount the memory without losing data?

I guess no buddy

Thanks for your answer, but it doesn't help me. Do I have to copy all files from internal memory, or how to backup (no root)?

[Q] Why put apps on the SD card if I have to reinstall anyway?

Ok just go ahead and forgive me if this is a noob question or just so obvious that I've overlooked it... Like a lot of you, I like to flash (roms!)...a lot. And of course most of the time this involves a full wipe and reinstall of my apps. So since I have to reinstall everything anyway, what is the big deal about being able to put apps on the SD card? Is there some way they can be installed on the SD card without losing them during a rom change?
If you have a lot of apps, moving to sd will save space in the internal memory. Whenever you flash a new ROM, you will have to reinstall apps each time, no matter where they are stored. IMO, Titanium Backup does a great job restoring apps, and doesn't really take that long to do.
Thanks trickster...so you're referring to the internal memory vs internal storage correct? So the apps use the internal memory like the RAM on a PC but if they're on the SD card, they use the SD card space instead? Does this add a perfomance boost as well conceivably?
The apps use internal memory no matter where they are stored. It's the storage space that is saved internal vs SD card. Some apps, however, require that they are on internal storage to work more efficiently.

[Q] After moving contents from internal SD to external SD card, the phone slow down c

After moving the contents from internal SD to external SD , the phone slow down critically.
It cannot be reversed after undoing (moving external to internal)
Please give me tips to solve the problem other than factory reset.
whats the class of ur memory card?...Most probably it might be low..as we all know default phone memory is much faster than memory cards data acess will be fast from phone memory than card so if card is of lower class it will be slow to acess data from card to process and run apps so phone hangs that's why even though companies provide option to move to sd they provide 8gb or above phone memory for android 4 to above for better performance:highfive:
only way is reset and reinstall rest won't help

uninstall all the apps and re-install it in your external SD.

Haven;t filled mine yet, but it doesn't have the ability to install apps to the SD card, so it should tell you that the memory is full.

Question

Well, I got a 16 GB SD Card, so Im finally rooting my phone and exchaning internal with external SD.
The problem is I got ALOT of games, and I got alot of advance in some of these, so what would happen if I swap internal with external SD?
Like, what do I do to not lose any progress or not having the need to uninstall and then install the games.

before swapping sdcards(JB):
-move data and obb folders from from /storage/sdcard0/Android to /storage/sdcard1/Android
-make sure no apps are 'moved to sdcard'

or backup your games with titanium backup or super backup (makes sure you use root privileges)

Issues moving certain apps to External SD

I have a LG G3 running stock M 6.0
I'm trying to increase my 16GB flash size or at least move my big apps to my external SD.
I did OK with Spotify and some others, but few others (like some games) are not moving their data to my external sd.
I have problems with those apps detecting my Internal Storage as my external SD card due to the fact that the Android mounts the internal storage in
/sdcard/
linked to some other folder
/storage/emulated/0
while my real external SD card is actually mounted on
/storage/7FB0-1DEE/
What on the earth is this thing calling my internal storage, sdcard, and my external sdcard to some strange mounted folder with a weird code that of course my apps have no idea wth is that...
Any ideas how to workaround that? Any guidelines will be very much appreciate it.

PD. I don't want to use any App2SD or FolderMount rooted 3rd parties to create logical links/shortcuts and "pretent" or make thing the app the files are on the internal storage, when they are on the external sd. That thing works OK. I rooted my stock FW and tested it that way, but I dont want my phone to have root access.
PD2. I installed RR582-Nougat711 to test this Ext SD adoption (which is not available on G3 Stock M 6.0). It sort of worked OK but I lost my ext sdcard when connecting it to my PC. I'm not willing to make my external sd part of the internal storage anymore. That think is awkward, encrypting my card and losing portability to MTP transfer.
