Slow motion camera working on LineageOs based ROMs? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I tried several camera ports, but nothing worked (Moto Camera, Nokia Camera etc) on my d855 with XenonHD ROM. Is there any way to enable the slow motion recording on my LG G3?

Camera don't detected only on AOSP ROMs

Hi everyone.
When my G3 D855 died LG sent me a new one (D855 too) and i have a issue with it that i can´t understand. The camera and torch works perfectly running stock or stock based ROMs but when i try any AOSP ROM the camera and the torch aren't detected by any camera application i tried. When I open the camera it shows the front camera and there is no option to change to rear camera. Also the torch isn't detected by the device and the torch toggle don't appear. If i try apps like Aida 64 or CPU Z the rear camera won't appear. It looks like the phone only have the front camera. So I have to stay in Fulmics or stock based ROMs to have camera and torch.
There are some people with the same problem here in XDA as i've read. I think that LG changed the camera module in the latest produced devices and I'd like to know how i can resolve this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Slow Motion Recording

Can anyone suggest me the camera app which lets to record the video in real time slow motion which will work fine in lineageos 14.1 and my device is Asus ZenFone 2 ZOOA
Your mobile phone doesn't support real time slow motion(because of the hardware). So it's impossible!
DrPr
But in the stock ROM & Camera there is support for slow motion recording
In the stock Rom along with ASUS camera there is slow motion recording !!

Porting MIUI stock camera for use in LineageOS 14.1

Hi.
I'm currently using the EU weekly ROM 7.3.30 on my mi5s 3/64 .
All in all, I got it all tweaked up and it works fine, but having tried both lineageOS 14.1 and resurrection remix (both unofficial builds for the mi5s) I feel they run snappier, as I would expect from such hardware. Only problem , no 3rd party camera apps I've tried (open camera, manual camera, the stock cameras on lineageOS and resurrection remix, google camera, a better camera, PixiMod) have been able to focus quickly and accurately, giving consistently good and sharp images as the stock camera app does. Also, most other camera apps are buggy in 4K video (and can't really use any form of digital stabilization).
Is there any way I can transfer the stock MIUI 8.3 camera app to use on lineageOS or resurrection remix.
My phone is rooted, I have titanium backup pro and root browser installed.
Thanks for your advise guys!

I tried backing up the stock camera app in titanium backup and restoring it later from lineageOS but it seemed to be stuck in a loop in 'restoring' such that I had to kill the titanium backup process...
It will be very hard, the app must be using many parts of MIUI calls / code which doesn't exist in other rom.
I think the MIUI camera APK relies on the MIUI system framework, so the camera is just a GUI for the interface which is actually located in the framework. Just from what I've seen though. I could be wrong
That's too bad... I might be lucky, but for me the stock camera app is actually very good (apart from the annoying bug in which the app never remembers the video resolution and it keeps reverting to fullHD instead of 4k). And I'm very picky on photography in general... Seems that for now I'm married to the miui ROMs.

Camera app with working Slow Motion for custom roms on One Plus 3?

Any camera app with working Slow Motion mode on custom roms?
I'm running LOS 15.1 rn and I've tried slow motion on Google Cam and OOS Camera. None of them work.
Any suggestions?
I to am looking for an answer to this. I had tried a few custom ROMs but came back to stock (well open beta) because of the camera.
I tried Google camera mod and it has the slow motion (with audio!) And HDR+.

But Google camera slow motion doesn't work for me. The camera freezes.
Where did you get the Google camera app from? I honestly don't remember how I got it. I'll have to have a look. But a quick look through magisk and there's a "Google camera fix" module. Maybe try that?
On oreo Gcam slowmo don't work.
You can install nokia camera work but not the same quality of oos camera..
the Nokia camera port have a working slow mo on Oreo...it's a little buggy but mostly works, search in the forums you'll find it.
Have you found any slow motion camera that works on Android Pie? I've tried Snapdragon Camera which crashes now but worked for Oreo. Nokia Camera is able to switch to slow motion mode, even save the recorded video but the output is the same as normal video.
Did anyone find an answer to this? I've heard that the OnePlus camera is on apkmirror and that could work..

AOSP camera app supporting 4K

Hey everyone,
I can see there are some AOSP based ROMs for G7. I've tried some already, but my G7 is a daily driver, so I can't be reflashing it all day long to check on my own.
Thus I'd like to ask you guys, is there any camera app for AOSP based ROM, that supports same qualities LG's built-in camera app does? Expecially slow-mo (up-to [email protected] FPS), [email protected] FPS, wideangle camera, OIS.
I tried a GCam (+ some mods for G7) and some apps that are available on Play store. None of those was supporting 4K. Some were not even working well with OIS.
I would really like to get a custom ROM (LG's ROM is full of bugs), but this kind of limitation is a deal breaker for me.
