So i just created this thread to alert you all of a possible TOUCH brick situation !
*#*#2663#*#* (don't dial) is a Samsung secret code that brings a touch screen firmware info window . Now a days most custom Roms come pre installed with an app called Samsung secret codes and unfortunately i was on one such Rom and i tried this code - on the window that appeared there was an update button and not knowing what it does i clicked it and a pop up showing updating alongwith the usual busy circle came up ! I waited for the process to finish but even after waiting 10-15 minutes the circle was still there and a when i pressed the back key i was shocked to realize that doesn't respond nor was the menu key responding ! i pressed the home button and voila ! - i came back to the home screen btw again to my awe i touched the screen only to realize that my touch isn't working - the phone responds to all hardware buttons but touch ain't working
i rebooted and still no luck ! i thought no big deal and flashed stock Rom via Odin - but this time i was really shocked to death to find that even though stock Rom got flashed without errors and my phone booted fine my touch was still screwed up !
after hours of Googling and tensions a friend of mine finally found a method and solved the issue using this thread :

morale : Enough of long boring story - all i wanted to tell is that NEVER EVER dial *#*#2663#*#* and do update - it won't give you any benefit and chances of screwing up are very high ! and if at all you accidentally get into this then wait for the updating process to complete no matter how long it takes !

Welcome bro ! I thought i would share this since Odin flashing can't revive the phone it seems to be a serious issue !
I Tried it one time,and when i press the back button its back to homescreen and nothing happened on brazilian firmware,but its really dangerous

The update might have been successful then - in my case it failed or i rebooted before it completed !
One time, my brain plays N00B and my finger pressed on update.
And my touchscreen is not bricked (but dont try this option)
thanks for this..i wont take a risk to update my Touch FW haha
I tried that earlier on creed 3.5 screwed up the touch. I had to reflash the rom

Try to take out the battery and put it back in. I ignored ur warning and went ahead. took out the battery put it back in and it works.

Lol no i fixed mine i just warned you against possible problem ! And nothing will happen if the update completes but why take risk when there is no benefit !

Its updating something it means it must be some improvements

I think it must be because ur phone must have entered deep sleep mode..
And when u tried to wake it up..
It needed some time ...
But u just started to mess with screen so the update was in the middle way...
Nd this has what screwed ur screen...
rooting is new for me...and i am noob to root...

Not in this case i have done my bit of research and every single person who have done this says its not beneficial ! See for yourself if you need proof but be careful !

we've tried to flash the Official frimware twice with flashtools and it was done " Successfully " ..
but the problem remains ..
oh wow that's really scary o.o I think it might be a hardware problem. Maybe the screen isn't connected properly to everything else or something. Get a serviceman to check it out

First, what is wrong with the regular letters? It is very hard to read your text if is highlighted all over.
Second ... do a factory reset and see what is happening after that.

i rooted my note 3 neo duos sm-n7502
it rooted sucessfully but i noticed that the screen went of when i rebooted the phone after a few hours !
i had to manually remove the battery and then restart my phone ! for the first time is worked fine but next day i had to reboot the phone again and after that the screen doesn't shows but my touch is working as i could feel the haptic feedback of my pattern lock !
after a few tries of restarting it i had a good luck and the phone started normally and the first thing i did was i removed the root by clearing supersu and then factory reset my phone . it worked fine the whole night but in the morning idk what happened the screen went of again ! so someone suggested me to install stock rom again and my problem will be resolved and i think that as my phone didn't fell or was damaged physically so it might be because of root !
i am from india but i purchased my mobile from dubai !
plz suggest me what to do and if possible please proved me the link to the relevant stock rom !!
as the country matters so plz tell me which rom i should download so that there are no network problems

history of the phone : ive boght it back in 2009 i love this phone because of its battery life first toach svcreen i had and i rooted it avrithinn worked fine for a long time .
the phone fell and the screen broke and did not respond so i got it to a lab there they fixed the screen. i set a password (i can no longer remember ) and after some time the phone did not fell or anythin the screen stoppted respondidng so i gave up after a longtime my thoder broght back to the leb so they will fix it . from i can see i think they changed rom (i have a celolar compeny logo now everywhere on the phone ) and i cant remember my password and cant open recovery from power button .. (i know how to do it ) and from adb-sdk and cant open it what can i do to open the phone and later on remove my rom back to the original one and open recovery ?
