Hi Guys,
I am aware of how to upgrade a ROM, how to Use HardSPL and how modifying in general works, although I think I may have really broken the phone now.
I had OliNex 1.40 installed since forever. I have used several Roms in the past including EnergyROM, Ahen's Roms and I have currently been using Makeveral's BSB6.5O Rom, and it was working great.
The last time I tried to use the unlock, i tried to flash it with the 'Subrata' unlock package (the one with Step 1,2 and 3' folders. It didnt work both times I tried so I gave up. It said it was unable to write to the phone. I reflashed with BSB Rom and all was well.
Today, I found a seperate unlocker. It was a simple .exe file that opened up what appeared to be the 'CustomRUU' application. The screen initially went black and then the program said that it lost connectivity. I did read that it used Cmonex HardSPL but I did it anyway (I take responsability for this error) and from then on, the phone will not boot. No matter what combination of Hard reset button combinations I use, nothing happens. No vibration, no light around the centre button that I can see, nothing.
So is there anything, anything at all that I can do? Or have i totally F**ked it?
I have also done alot of searching both on here, PPCgeaks, all the forums.
Let me know, cheers guys.
I had a similar problem: Screen was black, no reaction from the phone. But i was able to connect it to my computer, it was not really detected, even though
i was able to flash a new Rom with a Custom RUU. Perhaps you could try that?
Try to change the rom . Pull out the stylus , Press the reset button and hold the VOLUME DOWN and the right down button . After connect to pc
The phone is in an Off state - I recharged the battery in it overnight - no white glowing ring around the centre button. No combination of buttons work - nothing happens and the device is off still.
OK, regardless of what has happened, Ive sent the phone to Victoria (Australia) to be repaired or replaced under warranty.
I just hope that it is so scrambled that they cant figure out that the device has been toyed with - will keep everyone updated!
btw - does anyone understand what technicians with more advanced tools would be able to determine (if anything)? Do they use special hardware to view the contents of the ROM or how does it all work?
thanks friends
Well..not exactly, but they have probably tools to examine the flash/memory/parts of the phone. interesting question
Update!
I sent the phone away to the Three mobile repair centre - the phone is back, fully repaired and Running BsB again.... just awesome.
it seem they replaced all the components of the phone except for the shell itself, I dont really know why they didnt just replace the phone? lol
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I told them the phone wouldn't boot after an overnight charge - thanks 3!
Sorry for bumping.
I have the same problem! I used the same program; 'DiamonCustomRUU.exe'
The screen became black. I can't open the bootmenu, soft- and hardreset doesn't work
It's a Dutch branded Vodafone TD.
I have to send it to Vodafone for repairing?
Hi guys,
Any idea for what to do with a black screen brick S5660? I tried most things i could come up with for like a month now xD
Maybe its time to ask for help hehe
i went from 2.3.3 to 2.3.6 then put superuser on it with root.
Then putted cwm on it and last of all rom manager then flashed a wrong rom it seems ( was late didnt pay enough attention and i was stil bit noobie back then )
and after that it never came back alive shamely.
I tried every button combo and only thing windows7 x64 seems to see is download mode with a black screen so i tried Odin but its stuck on connection setup always with whatever ROM i use and on whatever port.
Also tried my gf's comp same story.
I even tried vmware and did a guest windows7 32 on it to flash but same story blegh
Any ideas? would be awesome if someone knew the answer
One thing, never use ROM manager on a Gio it will be flashed to a brick

Sorry for late reply was on vacation etc lol BUT no in the end i couldnt get it to work on my own even with USB jig/every stock custom rom kernel bla bla in the world
Took it to shop and they switched my lil motherboard on it ( was fcked ) then it worked.
ps: phone now runs on cm9 with cwm 5+ and all kind of funny zhizzle
Shame the screen went poof on vacation when it dropped 10cm on a matras ( not joking )
So its black AGAIN with nice white dim lights when it refuses to switch on the LCD but the OS works lol
BUT THIS COULD MAYBE HELP PEOPLE
I can RUN it and SEE what it does with Android screen capture and sdk monitor ( very handy when ur screen is broken but OS isnt or in bootloop but u cant see screen cause its broken and ur wondering why doesnt it work :'( <-- my phone did that )
AND i can even TYPE in the screen with Remote web desktop + remote control add-on + wifi keyboard app with my OWN USB pc keyboard
( very handy when screen is broken on a non psyshical keyboard phone right? whaha
Tbh i didnt know any of these programs before this happened so i researched how to remote control an Android device on a desktop with a broken screen .
Hardly any info on that so here and there i read tried and added **** togheter for 4 days +- till it came out almost perfect ^^
Shame the screen is still broken lol but i got full control over it now 4 days ago that was 0% so im happy
EDIT: Try Android screencast. It shows the screen + u can click control it + keyboard when rooted over USB
I don't know how that's happened.. I am using my nexus on liquit smooth latest version and the phone's not booting up while i am gaming on PC.
I tried to go into recovery and reinstall the ROM ( liquid ). but when in installing progress, the phone failed to be installed the rom somehow and automatically going to google icon screen at the very start. I am pretty sure download mode is available at that time. then I sent my phone to my local phone shop to get it repair. 3 days later the shop technician gave up with my phone's problem. When I tested my phone after that .. my nexus gotten into even worse condition ! even google icon's colors are not right ! I can't go into the download mode ! I can't call recover mode either !!!! .. WTF .. Did my phone bircked? All i can see now is ruined Google screen , Ruined fastboot screen and Ruined Download mode screen. all of them are with wrong graphic placements and wrong colors.. can't go anywhere beyond them. SOMEBODY HELP ME !!!! PLEASE !! :crying:
Ok ur in quite a fix. U tried flashing using adb.
«««««««CYANOGENMOD 10.1 and FRANCO KERNEL»»»»»»»»»
If you can get into the bootloader, regardless of what the screen looks like, and the PC recognises the unit in fastboot then you can flash the factory image. Download it from Google and see if this fixes things. If not, you can then send it back under warranty (assuming it's still covered)
What about the riff box with gnx file ? someone told me that.. i don't know where to find it. pls let me know?
I would try OMAPflash before that. Also, that's what you get for taking your baby to the "local phone shop".

folks, this is exactly what i did in order to be free from so called bootloop OK ! whether you like it or not it doesnt matter to me at all...but first let me tell you that i m quite a new member here and learner as well though this could be ma first step toword that xyz but i too have done some courses on hardware and software including C++ programming in 1998 OK ! just couldnt give it the time and efforts it'd take because of some other situations after i completed the courses.....much of what i do have forgotten now due to discontinuation but not all or everything OK !
my phone did bootlooped after flashing and rebooting which was one of the so called could be many reasons for so called bootlooping.....and i succesfully come out of it.......AND PLZ MIND THAT i had made myself clear saying its a simplest way to get out in which the screen is costant...after flashing that v72 zip file instead of v71......which was indeed successful i got screen shots saved here. everything went ok untill before hitting that reboot into system button...got it ? for 3 days i looked for the ways to get back onto recovery reboot.......now i understand that this is not a huge problem and you guys are gotten used to stroming your brain by going through such complications, and walk around everyday with taht mountain-size of infos inside you............plz dont get offended ! rather try out some simple methods that workds sometimes better than those complecated files manupulatings......thanks !
OK here it is : first reboot into recovery Twrp( by holding down both Power+Vol-Down buttons while device on power-off state ! that brings up usual LG Logo screen..the minute it appears just let go of the buttons at the same time.. simultaneously strike back and hold them down again. of course this lets us enter into Twrp Recovery Mode. Now... first off, hit the Factory Reset button. as soon as its done with go ahead and hit the Restore button next... it pulls up the screen that says: select Package to Restore... get that package below checked. on the next make sure all these system/data/boot are checked as well. no need to enable MDS verification at the bottom...Swipe what it says swipe to..... ! finally...that unforgetable sxcy 'reboot into system' Lo and behold..........! *
ur spamming here by creating multiple threads on same topic....its simple restore via TWRP no big deal
Duplicating of Lg g3 bootloop finally got fixed !
Closed for the same reason as the other thread.
