I am on the fence between mate 8 or the mi max? anyone had both that can shine some light on how they liked them and which is better? Thanks
I have mimaxpro and huawei P9. And I prefer to mimax. The huawei EMUI is too ugly to use and the kirin cpu isnot so good compared to qualcomm. The only reason I choose P9 is leica. Good MIUI not bad cpu big screen and high battety this is Mi Max.

used to be in your situation and my choice is Mi Max, never regret about that
i got my mi max today and i have to say iam very happy with it and mui rom aint too bad i got use to it from using my mipad with is also a great tablet with the nvidia tegra k1 chipset.
I have had a Mate 8 and now a Mi Max. Also had a S7 Edge. I have sold both and only use the Mi Max now. The build quality is not as good as on the Mate 8 but the software is much nicer and more polished and the battery life is also better.
I love my MI Max, get it and load CM13. It's sick fast and everything works that I can see. The rom is just like it was released with CM.
i have huawei p8 max and till today no cm or other nice rom is there for this phone. Now i read a huawei honor 8 max will come with 6.6" Display.
BUT: i will not buy anymore an smartphone with kirin cpu.
Rule No1: only buy smartphone with snapdragon cpu
The Xiaomi Mi max is so new but it have now an good working cm !!!
I have Htc one max (snapdragon), Xiaomi Mi 4s (snapdragon)
I am waiting on my Xiaomi Mi Max in grey/64gb
greets, Peter

It is for hydrogen not for helium. But I will try it [emoji3]

The choice is easy. Mi Max never wanna give it away it has everything you need.
I dont think Mate 8 is real competitor to Mi Max, simple to small to www and video to me... but Honor V8 Max incoming with 2560x1440 6.6" amoled dislplay, and maybe 800 Mhz lte.
How you think, can we get root (adaway) on Kirin 950 ? Huawei P8 Max support is not to good for now
Hello, what mean hydrogen and helium? I have xiaomi mi max 32gb, 3gb ram, 6x 1.8 snapdragon 650.
FYI -> Helium=64/128GB SD652(Octa arm Cortex 4xA72+4xA53), Hydrogen=16/32GB SD650(Hexa arm Cortex 2xA72+4xA53)

Is helium better than hydrogen?
Which gets updates faster?
Google's AR Core doesn't support currently on my huawei Nova 3(PAR-LX9) model??
What's wrong it that???
I thinkn it needs a snapdragon processor? I'm not sure!

Hello. I do a check on Huawei nova 3 (PAR-LX1; Android 9) and seems to be working fine.
Just picked this phone up from Tmobile on the 5th, CPU-Z shows it has the 750g vs the 690(which is in the just released Nord CE). Is this accurate? Maybe due to the global shortage they used other hardware on hand?
Here's the CPUZ link:

For me it was the 690
The Oneplus Nord CE comes with the 750G

That is reallllly weird kay,
Um they dont make a n10 with that chipset.
I think you are lucky enough to get a better processor but idk why you got a 750G instead of a 690
The Oneplus Nord CE 5G ships with the 750G
So you kind of got an upgrade in a phone that shouldnt have it
Have you tried any other validators just to cross reference if its true?
What does it say in About Phone
M

You are the first one that this has happened to, I haven’t seen a oneplus nord n10 get a snapdragon 750g...
I wonder how t-mobile had a 750g version of the n10....
CPUZ is wrong.
My Metro N10(several months old) also reported 750G on CPUZ
aida64 detects 690G correctly.

It is the 690 not 690g
You must mean 690 5G?

I always thought the CPU was 690G, like 730G 765G
but actually it's called 690(5G).
Anyway cpuz is wrong aida64 is correct.

They're not the same gpu somehow. 690 gets the 619L while the 750 gets the 619.
Honestly the only difference between the two is the dsp.

We're talking about the same thing, I just elaborated on why they're considered different.
Makes sense that they're about borderline though considering the 750 is just the 690 With support for the X52 5g.
sd778g benchmark shows better result than kirin 990 4g , but in real life , my mate 30 way more smooth and perform lots faster than mi 11 lite 5g ne , mate 30 kirin 990's difference is really far ahead .
Snapdragon 778G vs Kirin 990 (4G): tests and benchmarks
We put Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G against HiSilicon Kirin 990 (4G) to find out which SoC is better. See performance comparison in benchmarks and games.
nanoreview.net
Their performances are similar.
Perhaps it's the roms that make differences. MIUI is quite heavy, you can make Mi 11 Lite NE smoother by installing a minimal ROM likte LineageOS.
