Checked it thoroughly !
When I booted for the first time it looked pretty fine on Android 8 immediately when I updated to Android pie it suddenly got a yellowish tint I know Google tweaked the brightness slider value ...but that doesn't mean that display should have a yellowish tint ! So I don't know whether its with all devices out there just want to confirm ..because the sunlight legibility is damn poor

Just to clarify, Night Light is definitely off right? Because your reply is talking about the brightness slider.

Bet the night light is on.

The night light is off I'm damn sure ....I've checked everything ... And if the night light is on the screen looks very much unusable the yellow tint is so aggressive ....
Ive checked each and every setting ....every time I use the mobile I feel there is an yellowish tint all over and the whites are not looking white

Well that's the first time I'm hearing of a yellow tint after an update.

Screenshots/pics will help a lot

when you go to the "night sight" settings in Display, can you move the slider under "intensity"? If you can, then it's enabled regardless what it may state. But it does seem -- if you are so certain -- that the system has permanently enabled it, even if it's showing off and disabled. Phone reset and/or reloading a Full Factory Image would relieve this, although losing settings and customizations isn't appealing -- you can backup everythiing (nandroid especially if rooted), but losing anything is only at risk when doing the phone reset and not reloading the Full Factory Image. I'm worried though that if it's a set setting, running the "flash-all" without the -w will retain such settings...

4.1.B.0.431 Arc S Experience

Hey there ppl, has anyone tested 4.1.B.0.431 enough to say that the video cam, the sound, the smoothness and battery life are any better?
What is this version? The unreleased version of ics that Sony is working on ? Or just a Rom tweak?
Sent from my LT18i using Tapatalk 2
it is an unreleased branded version of 4.0.4. It is branded to 3UK however, zdzihu has removed the 3UK bloat and made it available for our Arcs.
which means that Sony will test this version, 4.0.4, and release it for the rest of the us soon right?
I bought the Arc S in India 2 days ago with ICS out of the box. I found some minor and one major problem. The minor problems include laggy and sometimes unresponsive software, the phone app takes a lot of time to launch, and once or twice the screen froze with an incoming call, and I couldn't pick it up. I guess a firmware update would fix these. But the major problem I am facing is with the camera. It takes fine pics when all settings are in AUTO mode. But, whenever I change it from AUTO to NORMAL, I see a green tinged circle at the center of the picture, even while it is being taken (i.e. on screen), and circular tinges on the 4 corners. On more investigation, I found it to be a problem with the White Balance setting. Whatever I set for White Balance, I face this problem. However, everything is fine if White Balance is set to AUTO. I don't know whether this is a hardware problem with my unit, as if it were, the AUTO mode would also show the same tinge. Anybody else have this problem? I'm a little apprehensive of taking this down to the service center, as SE service is horrible, and they will totally wreck the phone cosmetically. Any ideas? Please help.
I'm attaching a couple of pics to demonstrate the problem. The upper one is in AUTO mode, the lower one in NORMAL Mode, with sunny day white balance setting.

[Q] For (maybe) FIX for YELLOW TINT ! Look some devs.

Hi, at first, sorry for my eng, i hope all of you will understand
As we all know, on our devices Find 7a we have problem with yellow tint. I received my Find7a 2 days ago, and i was really disappointed from this issue .
Maybe i understand and i found, where should be the problem.
There are 2 options :
1) GLUE : The glue was not properly dried.
2) Color temperature of display : And i think this is the main problem : Why ?
Because i found on oppostyle forum, that JDI are using warm leds for their panels, and our Find7a panel is set to COLD colors.
As you can see, here i take some shots of my Find7a 5,5 FULL HD vs iOcean X7 5" FULL HD
You can easily notice, that iOcean had warmer colors.

Here is answer from @carl from oneplus forum, as all we know, they are using the same panels as on Find7a so :
Code:
http://forums.oneplus.net/threads/re-yellow-screen.40239/
So main point of this is, that we need to change our color temp to more warmer. Now it is cold.
Is it possible to make something that we can change color temp in our Find7a ? I am using GUMMY ROM for now ... Thanks !!!
Bump ! Nobody cares ?
Maybe there will be an update for screen calibration? Maybe report this at oppoforums instead
1) has been confirmed as the problem. If it were software, I would've had problems with ColorOS on my device - but the colors have been fine on my device regardless of what OS I'm using.

Washed up text

So, I'm here again probably receiving zero answers (is there a more active View 20 group somewhere?) asking about the screen once again. I don't use View 20 as my primary, I'm not used to it and G7 thinQ is somewhat simpler to use as a daily driver. Anyway, to me the text color is really washed up looking, especially when scrolling. I'm talking about Twitter, forums and even articles. It's just really bright and the text is gray rather than black. I've tweaked display color settings but I don't seem to get it right. Maybe I'm just not used to it, I don't know. It just looks like there's way too much spacing in the app and way too much white.
You can see how large the gaps are below.

Maybe you have changed font size in settings?
Or you have set full brightness ?
Maybe you are not used to this screen as it is bigger than your other device screens.

I'm probably not used to it, you're right. I have changed the font size and font completely but it still looks really gray and washed up. The brightness is always very low due to this.

Just give a try by formatting your phone.

I actually did that yesterday but there was no difference. Do you see a difference compared to your device or is it just that I'm not used to their screens?
Download an app that lets you install new fonts on Huawei phones. A good one I use is Font Manager for Huawei. Choose a better (darker font) and then install in using the phone's Themes app.
I had the same problem as you...I find the preinstalled font grey and washed out and not easy to read. I now use one called Righteous and it's soooo much clearer
I just enabled "eye comfort" mode and saw all the symptoms you are describing. Can you confirm you have it off?
and presumably you have gone into the display settings and changed colour mode/temperature (I have mine set to vivid) to something that suits you?
With me, I think it's simply worsening eyesight because of age. One of the reasons I buy Huawei phones is the ability to change the font to something darker and beefier.

Stock Camera - Pro Mode

I think that the stock software attempts to boost shadow detail to the point that it sacrifices blacks and contrast. I also think the color temperature seems far too warm. While I'm sure Google Camera is the preferred solution, has anyone been using the "Pro Mode" with success? If so what tips do you have? What do your settings look like? What do you pre-set and what do you leave on automatic?
Here is how I have the manual controls set and so far I feel like I'm getting better pics. I still don't know the best settings for "metering" but I'm looking into it. Another note, I think that the images come out a bit less "processed" as well in Pro Mode.

Also interested, I tried using pro mode but noticed auto gave nicer pictures overall (with pro there was overexposure at light sources for example, or the overall balance was less good). But the auto/default pictures overall are a bit too bright to my liking, I also installed Camera FV-5 which has an RGB histogram option and the red seems overrepresented in there (I notice this mainly in house).
Might give it another try soon, it does remember the settings rigth?

Yes it remembers the settings. My initial issue was color temp. The whites on the stock software are simply not white. I made some adjustments and I'm much happier with the color temp a bit cooler. For example:

It sounds like you have the blue light filter cranked all the way up.
Go to SETTINGS > DISPLAY > BLUE LIGHT FILTER.
If you don't want to use it at all, turn it off.
If you do want to use it, turn it on then, tap it to bring up the opacity slider & "Turn on now/Turn on as scheduled" options.
its not a blue light filter the yellow thing the center of the screent.

We all have it, but it is only visible when a dark theme is applied. It is no defect at all, just the way the display is built.

I see nothing resembling the OP's display yellowing on my Note 10+5G. I've been using mine as a daily driver for over six months & no kind of uneven coloring whatsoever. (Using dark mode)
At minimum, I'd suggest the OP contact Samsung customer service for troubleshooting, if not offer a replacement, if the phone is still in warranty.

Not normal. It's either an overlay or theme goof up... or hardware.
Could be "burn in" if it was a demo.
Start by testing OLED screen and drivers with Screentest:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...+test&pcampaignid=APPU_1_Adw7X7S2KsnKswWP045I
If it's doing it on Screentest you'll need to send it back. You can try clearing the system cache, vid driver data and a hard reset but I doubt that will help.
Samsung Tech Support over the phone is worthless other than to return a device.
Maybe try jscreenfix ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Don't think it's any the playstore anymore, though a quick apk search will do the trick
Yeah mine doesn't have that, had them over a year, use dark theme too.
It looks like burn in, pretty severe.
