Hi, at first, sorry for my eng, i hope all of you will understand
As we all know, on our devices Find 7a we have problem with yellow tint. I received my Find7a 2 days ago, and i was really disappointed from this issue .
Maybe i understand and i found, where should be the problem.
There are 2 options :
1) GLUE : The glue was not properly dried.
2) Color temperature of display : And i think this is the main problem : Why ?
Because i found on oppostyle forum, that JDI are using warm leds for their panels, and our Find7a panel is set to COLD colors.
As you can see, here i take some shots of my Find7a 5,5 FULL HD vs iOcean X7 5" FULL HD
You can easily notice, that iOcean had warmer colors.

Here is answer from @carl from oneplus forum, as all we know, they are using the same panels as on Find7a so :
Code:
http://forums.oneplus.net/threads/re-yellow-screen.40239/
So main point of this is, that we need to change our color temp to more warmer. Now it is cold.
Is it possible to make something that we can change color temp in our Find7a ? I am using GUMMY ROM for now ... Thanks !!!
Bump ! Nobody cares ?
Maybe there will be an update for screen calibration? Maybe report this at oppoforums instead
1) has been confirmed as the problem. If it were software, I would've had problems with ColorOS on my device - but the colors have been fine on my device regardless of what OS I'm using.

Hi there,
i am fairly new to the HTC and Android scene. Yesterday i got my HTC One X and the very first i noticed is a problem with the contrast.
Especially when it goes from grey to black, there are blocks visible. It is a bit difficult to make a photo of this issue, but i think you can see it clearly.
Is this a known issue? Can i do something about that?

Many thanks.
That's not contrast.
That is an image that seems to either compression artifacts or was produced with too little bit depth.
There's nothing wrong with the phone, it is faithfully reproducing a crappy image.
This was just an example. It shows the menu of a program (i think google maps).
I have also some photos that look the same where a black area goes into a brighter area.
Also some of dark HTC widgets, like the clock show this.
Like i said, difficult to make a photo of this issue:
Any problems viewing this?
Probably you mean these horizontal stripes. They are there when you look at the angle, but when you look straight, they are not there. I guess this is a problem due to technology used and it looks the same on mine One X. Also, AFAIR there are two different displays used in HOX, both from different manufactures and one of them doesn't have this problem but there are some other minor problems like smaller contrast or brightness, can't exatcly remember right now. It also annoys me but generally it is still the best phone screen I've ever seen and somehow I can get over it

these widgets in particular, and a lot of other things are supposed to change colour gradients, the notification bar being another.
just makes it look more fancy/3d
personally i don't think you have any problems except for the colour depth of the image not being enough, and that is why you see that, if there was more depth, then more detail and you wouldn't see that blocking
try switch your pc to a lower colour depth and youll see the exact same effect.

Thanks. I had the same idea and it looks normal. I also upgrade it to CM10 which does not have these grey to black transitions at all.
So no problem there, just poor graphics by HTC.
Thanks
Greetings, now that there is a new root method (towelroot) for the new firmware 15.4.A.1.9 (Android 4.3) for single sim Xperia M I am interested to update but ONLY if the camera's blueish tint problem has been fixed. Otherwise it's pointless.
I am on Android 4.1.2, 15.1.C.2.8 and the blueish tint problem under certain lighting conditions is well documented. But what is not documented is whether the newest firmware fixes this...
Can anyone help a brother out?
Questions go in the Q&A section and not here. Please post questions there in the future.
Darn, didn't realize this was gonna be such a hard question to answer. I guess this phone really is a low-use device
No I didn't notice anything blueish... It is fine by me

My Xperia M has a NyanCat boot animation
Yeap,still there.
Not sent from my Xperia.
Well, there's no more bluish tint in my camera in JB 4.3.
But, if it still bluish, try to use other camera software :fingers-crossed:
If it really still bluish, well you need to go to service center :silly:
Bug is still there but not so common. This bug can be easly "enabled" via few steps:
1. Find place with weak light source
2. Open camera - everything is fine
3. Cover camera lens with something for few seconds
4. Uncover it - everthing is blue
For me it happens with JB 4.1.2 with certain types of indoor light and background. Often I would be at a restaurant and take pics of my girlfriend with the white balance set to Auto and the whole pic is bluish. Changing the White Balance to fluorescent then fixes it. Have duplicated this blue tint problem at many locations and backgrounds. My girlfriend also has an Xperia M with the same problem so I know it's not my phone specifically plus this problem has been talked about many many times on this and other forums.
Using another camera app does not help (I tried at least seven different ones). But I chose Snap Camera due to the ability to place a quick toggle for the white balance (so not to get blue freakin pics all the time)
Guys I'm on the latest UL-Z00A-WW-2.19.40.22 stock ROM .
ZE551ML 64GB version but I notice the camera are very bad on screen on

You are right, I could tell from experience that it performs indeed much better in light than dark conditions. I think the yellow lines is because you are filming a white background in a dark area.
Also, try taking a picture of another background color e.g. blue or anything other than complete white. Post here so we can see.
p.s: Did you try another Camera App like Google's? Let us know.
@mccmjoon76 i am also facing same issue ... Did you got any solution ? is it a hardware issue or Software ?

Checked it thoroughly !
When I booted for the first time it looked pretty fine on Android 8 immediately when I updated to Android pie it suddenly got a yellowish tint I know Google tweaked the brightness slider value ...but that doesn't mean that display should have a yellowish tint ! So I don't know whether its with all devices out there just want to confirm ..because the sunlight legibility is damn poor
Just to clarify, Night Light is definitely off right? Because your reply is talking about the brightness slider.

Bet the night light is on.
The night light is off I'm damn sure ....I've checked everything ... And if the night light is on the screen looks very much unusable the yellow tint is so aggressive ....
Ive checked each and every setting ....every time I use the mobile I feel there is an yellowish tint all over and the whites are not looking white
Well that's the first time I'm hearing of a yellow tint after an update.

Screenshots/pics will help a lot
when you go to the "night sight" settings in Display, can you move the slider under "intensity"? If you can, then it's enabled regardless what it may state. But it does seem -- if you are so certain -- that the system has permanently enabled it, even if it's showing off and disabled. Phone reset and/or reloading a Full Factory Image would relieve this, although losing settings and customizations isn't appealing -- you can backup everythiing (nandroid especially if rooted), but losing anything is only at risk when doing the phone reset and not reloading the Full Factory Image. I'm worried though that if it's a set setting, running the "flash-all" without the -w will retain such settings...

It sounds like you have the blue light filter cranked all the way up.
Go to SETTINGS > DISPLAY > BLUE LIGHT FILTER.
If you don't want to use it at all, turn it off.
If you do want to use it, turn it on then, tap it to bring up the opacity slider & "Turn on now/Turn on as scheduled" options.
its not a blue light filter the yellow thing the center of the screent.

We all have it, but it is only visible when a dark theme is applied. It is no defect at all, just the way the display is built.

I see nothing resembling the OP's display yellowing on my Note 10+5G. I've been using mine as a daily driver for over six months & no kind of uneven coloring whatsoever. (Using dark mode)
At minimum, I'd suggest the OP contact Samsung customer service for troubleshooting, if not offer a replacement, if the phone is still in warranty.

Not normal. It's either an overlay or theme goof up... or hardware.
Could be "burn in" if it was a demo.
Start by testing OLED screen and drivers with Screentest:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...+test&pcampaignid=APPU_1_Adw7X7S2KsnKswWP045I
If it's doing it on Screentest you'll need to send it back. You can try clearing the system cache, vid driver data and a hard reset but I doubt that will help.
Samsung Tech Support over the phone is worthless other than to return a device.
Maybe try jscreenfix ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Don't think it's any the playstore anymore, though a quick apk search will do the trick
Yeah mine doesn't have that, had them over a year, use dark theme too.
It looks like burn in, pretty severe.
