Iam russian... Use the phone flash tool intel v444. connect you device via usb. reboot rebooot rebooot.... when programm detect your device. check in "custom flash" option fastboot or adb. and flash ifwi file. wait min 15.... WHEN YOU DEVICE TURN ON BOOTLOADER CANCEL FLASH (PULL USB CABBLE!!!) volume - to recovery. open recovery menu and factory reset and cache clear. update with sideload and wipe data/ reboot!
@Andreko777 thank you, ill try it. Hope it works! But i think it doesnt work because, when i plug my usb cable to my computer and run Intel flashtool, it can not regconize my device. So i cant do anything else,........

If you have a custom recovery installed, you can try this method(does not require root or USB debugging enabled).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2227103
If that doesn't work you need to have adb installed on your computer. Then follow this guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800799
(And to boot into fastboot you need to hold Vol Down + Power after the phone switches on).

Don't know if anyone can help me. I ran the update ending in MF-PV and used DC-unlocker to update from DUK-L09C432B189.
Ended up in a bootloop and tried flashing back to Nougat. Phone continued to bootloop a few times then shutdown and now it won't power on at all.
Tried charging it and it doesn't seem to charge either; that is the LED doesn't come on.
Is there any hope for my Honor 8 Pro???

Try different button combinations, with usb/charging cable connected and disconnected. If the phone still doesn't show any kind of screen then the service center is your final option.
Try flashing with usb and huawei flashing tools

To unlock Bootloader:
adb reboot bootloader
The device will now boot into the bootloader and say
Waiting for fastboot command...
Input the following to unlock the bootloader:
fastboot flashing unlock
You will be prompted on the tablet screen with a warning about unlocking the bootloader.
Press the power button to unlock the bootloader.
The device will reboot and say "Bootloader is unlocked and OS verification is OFF. Device will continue booting in 30 seconds." You will also hear an audible beep. You will then see some spinny stuff. This is the userdata being formatted.
When complete, the device will boot back into the bootloader and say
Waiting for fastboot command...
Boot back into Android by inputting:
fastboot reboot
Your Pixel C will be reset.

There is nothing any one can do about the 30s delay in starting I'm afraid.
I only ever see that when I reflash every month the latest factory image security update so I can live with it.
Flashing TWRP is easy.
Install Custom Recovery:
Input the following:
adb reboot bootloader
The device will now boot into the bootloader and say
Waiting for fastboot command...
With the Pixel C in the Fastboot bootloader and the recovery file in your ADB directory, input the following:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP-3.2.3-0-dragon.img
Immediately reboot to TWRP Recovery by 'Power + Volume down' until screen turns off, keep pressing Volume down to boot into Coreboot Bootloader. Navigate to 'Reboot into Android Recovery' with Volume down and then press Power button to select.
In TWRP when asked for encryption password, type your password.

Hello there @m+a+r+k,
I noticed that your signature indicates that you have a Chrome Pixel C, with Stock Oreo 8.1 rooted. I purchased my Pixel C back in late 2016 and JUST NOW opened the package for the first time ever LOL. What can I say, work has been keeping me extremely busy.
Anyway, as I normally do with my Android devices (Usually before purchasing them), I start looking at how solid is the 'Alternative Dev Community', for things like rooting, custom recovery, custom kernels, custom roms, etc.
After doing some searching and reading, I was beginning to lean towards just rooting and installing the custom recovery but keeping everything stock. Then I saw your signature.
If possible, what advice can you provide me with regarding this tablet and the current 'Alternative Dev' community?
There doesn't appear to be that many choices with Custom ROMs and so forth. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!!
BJ
I'd just root it and install TWRP.
I'm happy with 8.1. Every month I download the new factory image flash system.img, vendor.img and boot.img to update it.
I don't know what your experience of this is, I can put instructions up here if you need them.
I can't believe you had a Pixel C sitting in its box all this time! You were so busy you didn't even have half an hour to unpack it out of curiosity?

Hey there @m+a+r+k,
Yes, if you could please post some instructions, that would be awesome. That way, I don't end up trying to follow outdated material. Also yes...I've been extremely busy even relocated to another State during this time LOL. I even have the following NAS still sitting in the box for the past year, brand-new and unopened: https://www.qnap.com/en-us/product/tvs-473 . Haha I even have the following Firewall waiting for me for the last 6 months: https://www.netgate.com/solutions/pfsense/sg-3100.html.
I haven't even had the chance to update my XDA signature on here LOL
BJ
Apologies if I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs.
I make no promises, this worked for me. I can't be held responsible for any damage (unlikely) caused when attempting this.
You will need the latest (important) adb and fastboot package. You don't need the rest of the SDK Platform Tools.
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools#download and choose which platform you have. Unpack and copy folder to Program Files (x86) or whatever.
Download latest TWRP from this forum
Download Magisk 17.2 from https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk
Enable developer mode
Go to Settings > About tablet
Tap on "Build Number" 7 times until it says "You are now a developer"
Enable OEM Unlocking
Go to Settings > Developer options
Enable "OEM Unlocking"
Tap on Enable when a disclaimer pops up
Enable USB Debugging (ADB)
Go to Settings > Developer options
Enable "USB debugging"
Tap on OK when prompted with a disclaimer
If the ADB USB driver has been installed, you will see a popup that says "The computer's RSA key fingerprint is: xx:xx:xx:xx(blah blah)"
Check the box next to "Always allow from this computer"
Tap on OK
Unlock Bootloader
Connect Pixel C to PC with USB power cable.
PC should install drivers (fingers crossed).
Open a Command Prompt window so that it points to the SDK Platform Tools folder.
[Type commands in blue]
Type
adb devices
Do you get a response with a number? If not you don't have a connection and drivers may not be installed or USB Debugging enabled. Windows 7 and 10 recognized Pixel C OK for me.
adb reboot bootloader
The device will now boot into the bootloader and say "Waiting for fastboot command..."
When complete, the device will boot back into the bootloader and say "Waiting for fastboot command..."
Boot back into Android by inputting:
fastboot reboot
Your Pixel C will be reset, so you will need to re-enable USB debugging.
Connect to your wireless network, set up your lock screen password and then skip past everything else in the initial setup, as all of this setup info may be wiped again later on.
Enable "USB Debugging" again.
When you are happy copy the Magisk.zip file to Pixel C Downloads folder.
Install Custom Recovery
Input the following:
adb reboot bootloader
The device will now boot into the bootloader and say "Waiting for fastboot command..."
With the Pixel C in the Fastboot bootloader and the TWRP recovery file in your ADB directory, input the following:
fastboot flash recovery TWRP-3.2.1-0-dragon.img <or whatever the name of the TWRP file>
If OK: THIS IS IMPORTANT If you reboot the device back into Android, it will write over the custom recovery with the stock one. Reboot to TWRP Recovery by holding down "Power button + Volume Down button" until screen turns off, keep pressing Volume Down to boot into Coreboot Bootloader. Navigate to "Reboot into Android Recovery" with Volume Down button and then press Power button to select.
You should now boot into TWRP. You'll be asked for encryption password - it is your lock screen password or if no password has been set use "default_password".
You can now play with settings in TWRP (colour, clock etc).
Make a Nandroid Backup.
Install root
In TWRP select Install menu and select the Magisk zip file. Drag the bar to the right. When finished Wipe Caches.
At main menu Reboot to System and set up your Pixel C.
Install Magisk Manager apk.
Install one of the many free Root Checker apps to check all is OK.
Phew...
I've probably missed something...
Thanks to b1ggjoe and gargamon for being my guinea pigs on this script

You'll be asked for encryption password - it is your lock screen password or if not set "default_password".
You can now play with settings in TWRP and Reboot into System and set up your Pixel C.
At some point when you are happy copy the Magisk.zip file to Downloads folder.
Install root
Reboot into recovery
adb reboot recovery
or Reboot to TWRP Recovery by holding down "Power button + Volume Down button" until screen turns off, keep pressing Volume Down to boot into Coreboot Bootloader. Navigate to "Reboot into Android Recovery" with Volume Down button and then press Power button to select.
In TWRP select Install menu and select the Magisk zip file. Drag the bar to the right. When finished Wipe Caches.
At main menu Reboot to System.
Install Magisk Manager apk.
Phew...

Thank you Sir!!!!!!! Ok, I will try this out this evening right after work...can't wait!!
Thanks again,

Basically I have rooted my old Redmi Note 4 but that was past guarantee so I did not care that much.
My current RN 8 Pro is still 1 year in guarantee so I literally do not have the balls to do it on my own.
Is there any good soul who would help me out with rooting it, pretty please? Thanks very much in advance
btw. I do know stuff about Unlocking Boot Loader, installing TWRP trough Command Window and Flashing Magisk...that should be potentially enough but as I said above no balls and do not want to F things up and brick it.

Hello once again...I might need some help
I was following these steps but after flashing this TWRP I cant enter into the TWRP...so far Ive tried holding power button then pressing Volume +; holding power button and then holding Volume+; even holding them both but still without any result...any chance you might help me here, please?
*EDIT: Im flashing stock ROM
Go to the system then do
adb reboot recovery
I flashed TWRP recovery once again, then I went for "adb reboot recovery". This is what happened after I used "adb reboot recovery" (attached picture). There is no sign about TWRP. What am I doing wrong? I literally followed the guide the flash of the recovery TWRP is successful. Is there any chance that Im flashing wrong TWRP recovery? Or that Im doing it on stock ROM? Usually its problem between chair and keyboard but I dont know :-/.
So Ive tried to boot TWRP through after flashing it with "fastboot boot twrp.img". It went through but it booted like normal so I ended up in system like when you turn on your phone normally.
Anybody, anything please?

First: what version of miui?
If you're on miui 12.5 this method will cause reboot.
If your phone is < 12.0.X its okay.
It looks like flashing recovery worked.
Instead of trying to adb reboot recovery after flashing recovery try this:
- When it's done, Remove cable and Hold Power + Vol. Up when phone starts turning on leave the power button but keep pressing Vol. UP until TWRP splash Screen shows up.
Version of MIUI: MIUI Global 12.0.5; Stable 12.05.0(QGGEUXM)

I was already trying that, if I do it how you typed the screen is gonna keep blinking with MIUI logo.
I was looking for the answers and I found smth about "fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img" to disable android verified boot, but dunno if its my case on stock ROM or not.

First you need to enter recovery, i think you didn't flash boot.
Follow the method below exactly.
Original post and files can be found here.
If error occurs..
1. Go to Minimal ADB and Fastboot in C: of your PC. Open Fastboot folder and Press Shift+Right Click and Select Open Command Window Here at the CMD type fastboot devices and enter (check if it's recognized the device).
2. Enter the following commands: fastboot flash boot boot.img and Enter then fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and Enter. We have flashed clean boot and TWRP.
3. Disconnect the phone from the PC, hold the Power button as the screen goes blank immediately hold Volume + the TWRP splash screen will appear and disappear still hold the button when the TWRP splash screen appears a second time release Volume +. The recovery_fromboot.p file is already deleted earlier.
5. Go to Mount in TWRP check data, system, vendor, nvdata and now you can decrypt DATA by formatting in TWRP Wipe-Fotmat Data, write yes and swipe.
6. Disconnect the phone from the PC, hold the Power button as the screen goes blank immediately hold Volume + the TWRP splash screen will appear and disappear still hold the button when the TWRP splash screen appears a second time release Volume +. If Chinese language change to English. If TWRP will ask you the password (this means that there is DATA encryption)click on CANCEL and get to the main screen.
We go to the mount, put check on data, system, vendor, nvdata and MicroSD card (if the phone has a memory card).
Press home to return to the main screen Choose Advanced-File Manager item >system_root / system / folder at the bottom there is a recovery_fromboot.p file delete it.
Go back to Advanced and select Close AVB2.0 and flash the archive with a swipe to the right.
Again, we go along the Advanced-File Manager path in the root, look for the supersu folder in it, select the SuperSu_installer.zip fileand flash it with a swipe to the right. This is an archive from Magisk_19.4 it will patch boot. The firmware of this archive should go WITHOUT a single error, all lines should be white and at the end of DONE. If everything was done without errors in the TWRP select the Reboot-System. The first boot will be a little long and Don't Panic when boot up check the Magisk Manager>Settings>Update Settings>Stable Channel.
I dont have any boot.img in my folder so I cant flash the boot.img. Having stock ROM and I have no clue where to get it.
My current ROM is MIUI Global 12.0.5; Stable 12.05.0 (QGGEUXM) and I think I just found it here on this link:
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/begonia/stable/V12.0.5.0.QGGEUXM/
Can anybody experience confirm that Im suppose to copy out the boot.img out of it and then copy&paste it into Minimal ADB and Fastboot in C: of my PC and then going for the "fastboot flash boot boot.img" as the last msg from Donkyshot says?
Tyvm
Id appreciate any help
Everything I did try is above.

Thanks. I used the boot.img and I was following the guide which "donkyshot" sent. But I got stucked right after I did those commands in command Window. I disconnected the phone went for the power button hold and then when it was blank I stopped holding power button and I started holding the Volume+ button. The phone was bootlooped on Xiaomi logo...I was waiting several times but nothing. At the end I had to flash the phone with stock ROM I downloaded through MiFlash...I really dont know what I was doing wrong.
