It's possible to enter fastboot using "adb reboot bootloader" if the system is up and running and you have ADB.
However:
Has anyone figured out how to enter fastboot via a keycombo on power up?
VolDn sends you to recovery
VolUp (which was fastboot on the Find5) takes you to some sort of factory mode.
https://plus.google.com/101093310520661581786/posts/F1LKcuN5RVV is a screenshot of factory mode - does one of those happen to say fastboot (for those of you who read Chinese)?

On another mtk6589 device (wiko stairway), you need to hold vol down and up and then start (power on).

Hi Entropy i have Oppo r819 and got bootloop and no fastboot. Have you solved? Cam you help me? Please
Its very complicated. My T705's power button was damaged by water. And i flashed Stock MM rom with odin. It was fine after flashing, the tablet boot into the os properly, work very well in the os.
But then i want to wipe the cache and data after that, so i was using the code"adb reboot to recovery" to get into recovery mode because my power button was broken. (I thought it can be using home button to select in recovery mode)
But the nightmare is i can't select anything in recovery mode which requiring a power button. So i can't wipe the cache, also can't select the option to reboot my tablet...... I've tried to hold both the volume down and home key to go to the download mode menu, and select restart by holding volume down, but it go to recovery again even after removing the battery, i think it's because the adb command.
And the strangest thing is i can't use my volume up button in download mode menu, so sadly i can't flash the rom again,:crying: but the volume up is working well in recovery and in the os......
Is there anyway to prevent the tablet to boot into the recovery again? I'm quite sure it's not the problem when flashing MM rom, the problem should be the adb command makes my tablet boot into recovery until i change the boot setting in recovery mode.

That would only work if you could actually use adb.

Holding vol down + home key can boot to the download mode menu.
But the device will automatically turn on after inserting the battery, no need to press any button, but the device only boot into recovery after i use the adb boot into recovery command.

If that's the case that means the power button is stuck on or you wouldn't be able to power on or boot to Download mode.
All you need to do is flash the stock firmware or twrp and it will reboot back to the OS.
Hopefully I've got your fix:
When you insert the battery your device boots up, if so, insert the battery and press the correct key combo while the splash screen from logo.bin is showing to boot into the download mode.
After that flash TWRP latest version with Odin. Then when your phone again boots to recovery, chose Reboot -> System to boot Android.
---
If the above isn't applicable and you can start Android somehow, I will download either FlashFire or MobileOdin to flash another recovery/ROM.

You have to sideload (stock rom) though the recovery menu. (LOCKED BOOTLOADER WORKS).
You will need the current or newer version(build) to flash from here. ( https://developers.google.com/android/ota ) .The pixel C is codenamed (RYU).
You will also need adb drivers installed i use (adb minimal 1.4.3). ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790 )
Download the pixel c drivers if you dont have them. ( https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb )
Put your Pixel C into fastboot mode by holding (VOLUME DOWN + POWER) until it gives you a couple options.
Select (REBOOT INTO RECOVERY) with the power up and down buttons. Press the power button to select.
There will be a dead android with an exclamation point at which point you with press and hold the power button and then hit volume up.
(Connect TO PC) and select (Apply Update From ADB). If your pc doesnt recognize it install the Pixel c drivers.
Open adb minimal on your pc and use the command
adb sideload (drag and drop your pixel c stock firmware here after adb sideload without parenthesis.) .Then hit enter.
example:
adb sideload ryu-ota-opm8.181205.001-83c98d30
Wait for it to finish and it will boot normal.
Steps to recover from bootloop or soft brick
Method 1:

https://www.realme.com/in/support/software-update
2. Insert SD card in your soft bricked phone
3. Power off your phone by pressing power button for sometime
4.
a. If you have stock recovery then do this step:
Press power button + vol down, it should boot into recovery. If it boots into fastboot mode, you have to do:

or

Press power button + vol down to boot into fastboot mode.
If it's in endless bootloop, Hold vol up + power till the screen becomes blank, now release the button immediately, now press power + vol down to boot to fastboot mode and now flash stock recovery using:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot oem reboot-recovery
5. Flash the ozip file in sd card using stock recovery and after that wipe the data (full)
6. Reboot
Method 2:

if you don't have twrp, get it from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-3/development/screen-doesnt-twrp-realme-3-t3944022
4. Restore the TWRP backup ,except preloader_a and preloader_b partitions and reboot

Were all the same problems facing rightnow. I recently flash the stock recovery and it turn to endless bootloop. Does one of us already fix the issue ? I can't boot to fastboot.
Theres only one left chance of reviving damage of phone software. JTAG is the best option . But JTAG is expensive. Better go to nearest cellphone shop and pay their fees.
