Help!
My Acer Iconia I would class as bricked when I bought it. It is living it's own life, Google life! I would like to get Google out of the tablet to take control over the tablet. I have tried to root the tablet with all kinds of root program, and none works.
I do not find any information about Acer Iconia One 10 any where. Am I the only one in the world with this crap?! My plan is to put Linux Deploy on it, because I am a newbee that just want my tablet to follow my orders.
Please help me.

Check out that guy Vache... Doesn't it look like he has some sort of link to an A100 ROM in his signature? The stuff about Sense ports?
Does anybody know anything about these?
Here is the key... He lists a rom for the Acer Liquid a100 not the Iconia a100

If he makes one for the Iconia A100 that lets me underclock/undervolt so I can read Kindle books for more than about 5 hours without needing to find a plug he'll be my favorite frog ever.
At least Acer didn't include that asian sized short power cord from the A500 with the A100. It actually reaches from the wall, over the arm of the couch to my tablet while I use it if need be.

I don't know if it works with that.
Actually there no development on the A100, you should wait unti ICS is released by acer on this tab to have a real development thread.
But if you really need those feature, sell your tab and buy an A500, for 50€ more than the A100.
its good i found an other solution
i take a seedbox
i search to use on stream...
Hi guys,
My first time here. Found this site while googling for solutions. A friend recently bought a Iphone 4 replica while he was on vacation in China. I'm trying to root it as it seems to be running on android with an ios overlay. However, there is no android market app. There is a file manager but does not has the ability to install apk files.
Anyone know the approach to root this phone? Sorry for my ignorance, i'm new to this!
Thanks for any help!
Try SuperOneClick?
Yep, tried, didn't work...
Try looking on a chinese site. The translations may or may not be good (eh they will def suck) but they will provide you with some kind of insight into the device.
These are the problem of the chinese phone.
You can't do nothing on it, you can't find replacement if you broken it.
it's chinese. It have low cost. this is only the better thing.
i 'm not ready to buy ip4 ,money problem.

"cheap ics tablet from ebay"...you have to be a bit more specific...we don't know if there's a forum for it if you don't tell us what it is.
you can go ahead and partition your sd card all you like. you would then need to root the tablet and use a script or custom rom to make use of the partition...
ask yourself if you (or your wife) actually need to root/hack it in the first place. the desire pretty much needed it because of pitiful internal space, your tablet may have enough on its own, and if your wife is happy with it as it is then there's not much point.
a lot of tablets are supported on xda. search for a forum yourself where it says "type to find your device", or google it...my guess is that it's unlikely to be supported here unless it's a reasonably popular device with people willing to develop for it.
the model no says
SoftwinerEvb
Android
4.0.4
base band
1.5
dont know if that helps its just a generic type of £40 tablet but its cheep eoungh to mess about with
ive hit the thanks button for both you guys
Hi,
I recently bought a Kindle Fire HD X43Z60 from the electrical retailer I work at for an absolute bargain price BUT I forgot about the demo mode on it. Now in many of our other tablets at work it's fairly simple to uninstall demo modes but seemingly not the KFHD, and after reading MANY forums and threads and watching LOTS of youtube videos I cannot find a straightforward and also up-to-date way to basically re-install the OS.
I am using Mac OS X Mavericks to do this but can get access to a windows 7 PC if necessary. I've also seen some debate about the success rates of the fastboot cables.
I really want to get this working so I can gift it to someone else especially as it was such a bargain.
Many thanks in advance!

You simply need a fastboot cable. There's an adapter that is even nicer you can just plug in-between a normal cable and the kindle that does the same thing here: http://shop.teamblackhat.info/Factory-Adapters-motadapt.htm
Now here's where i have to ask, is this the 2013 or 2012 kindle hd? You can tell based on if it has a camera. If it does its a 2012, if it doesn't, its a 2013. The 2012 can be restored to a normal os via kindle fire first aid, whereas we just worked out a way to restore a kindle fire hd 2013 so the script just came out i think.

Hi, it has a camera on the front but none on the back so it must be the 2012 model so i just need the adapter then? whats the process once i have the adapter?
thanks for your help
Yes you just need an adapter, once you have that it will kick it into fastboot mode. You may need the drivers in my signature once it is in fastboot mode. Once you have the drivers installed use kindle fire first aid to restore the kindle. Once it does that you should have a fully working os and the ability to flash 2nd bootloader +twrp and another os like cm so you can have a complete android tablet.

hello
did you manage to fix this? i have the same problem having bought a ' 13 ex-demo unit from john lewis earlier this year (without being informed, despite a lengthy conversation with an amazon rep (!) about the pros and cons of fire hd vs paperwhite, that it was going to be like this). i got a fastboot cable made up but it doesn't enable the fastboot. i am interested that you comment that there have been reports of the cables not working. thanks

What does demo mode not allow you to do?
Can you not copy the update to the KF as per the factory reset options on Amazon's support site?

Don't have a HD, only a Fire 2, but I would have thought you could just flash stock firmware again.
