i saw some pictures on the internet a few days back, with gangstar running perfectly on galaxy s ... without the white issues .... i was told that the version for Motorola Droid may run with no problems in the SGS. The problem is that you can find the droid version of the apk on the internet but you cand find the droid SD files ... just desire and N1...
the question is: can someone upload the droid version of the SD files ? It`s a shame that a game like this cant play on such a good graphics card...
cheers
would like this sorted too cheers
C'mon, it's quite cheap. Simply Go to gameloft website on your mobile and buy it. It will choose which version is right for you.

Dont buy i say
I installed it few days ago and all textures was messed up
Yeah i had the same problem. But i kinda gave up already xD Tried ti fix it a while back but nothing made any difference. Would be awesome if this game would work
I just bought this off Gamelofts site, for £5.00. I selected the I9000 as my model (because it is)
Game is working! The only reason it don't work on your Galaxys is because you're trying to run another version of the game which is probally cracked.
Buy it!
i bought the game too but the download stops at 100% ...just freezes

Okay, cool, could you tell me whats the version no. of your application? (you can use TaskPanel *free* to check)
it's work i just come to buy the game on gamsloft for i9000... and it's work great !!!
Heads up about Gameloft guys.
I have been told there are issues with the redownloading or reinstalling of software from them. It seems they offer a single licence only useable once.
I dont know if this means you can only install 1 phone (IMEI) or if this means only install once (err) but I have heard that lots of peeps are unhappy with them because of this.
They could put the apps onto the market, and I would buy at least 2 of them - I play Asphalt 5 and it is great. (pre loaded on gal s)
BUT their reputation for android users means I dont trust their purchase mechanism. If I get a new Android phone or new ROM - I want 100% certainty that I can reinstall - copy save games or whatever.
Any one make any comments about that?
its working without problem

Sry, I'm not pretty sure what you really want, is it about space or speed or what?
But anyways what you want to do (data2sd, overclocking,...) you first need s-off by xtc-clip, after that you can root, change roms,... Look at the general section, there is a index sticky where all guides, roms,... are linked.

An iPhone would have the abilities you want too, but anyway Android rocks cause of the ability to mod the hell out of it, but also cause of this it's more an geek OS than ios.
An xtc-clip is a peace of hardware to unlock your bootloader, create a goldcard and remove simlock. You can get it at e-bay or you can go to a second hand seller that also does repairs (not all of them got one) to get it unlocked by them (I had to pay 20 euro for it).
I would recommend the unofficial cyanogen port, but it's a matter taste, cyanogen isn't that eyecandy and it's still beta yet, if you like sense, jikantaru xe would be the best choice I think.

For every custom rom you need an unlocked bootloader first. I have none, I unlocked mine at a second hand handy shop for 20 euro.

Yes via PlayStation pocket/Android Market.
Hopefully they add in PSN so we can download our purchased PSOne classics. @neverwinter have you tried the free PSXperia app of the forums that allows us to rip our own PSX games for use with the built in emulator?
Also, did you get your name from Neverwinter Nights

lol you're the first to ask. Yeah, it's taken from Neverwinter Nights (Part 1). It's was a cool game...so is Part 2. But....I'm not sure I want to use the PSXperia app... not sure if it's illegal. Some people might hound me for that. Never really made up my mind about the ethics and legalities of game console emulators. But if I can buy the games, that would be great. The Tomb Raider games specifically... wow! If the PSOne games can be bought for Xperia Play, it could be one of the best smartphones out there... BTW, I've never had an Android device before. It's always be WinCE, Win Mobile or Windows Phone 7...

There is nothing illegal about PSXperia as long as you own the disk your using. @op all PSX games even the ones from the Playstation store are emulated.

Hmm...OK. Thanks. I thought I read somewhere that in order for emulation to work, it requires the ROM image from the console itself...and how that ROM image is extracted and distributed (or something like that) can be illegal... what do you think? Does anyone know if PSP games will be downloadable to Xperia Play as well??

The Xperia Play comes with said "console rom image" in the form of PS1_BIOS.bin on the devices internal memory.
Ohhh, OK. Thanks for the clearing up... will PSP games be available by download?
OK. Just bought the Xperia Play. I read that the memory card used should be microSD up to 32GB... does that mean any microSD card? Or is there a specific type I should avoid for compatibility?

Sandisk Class 4 32gb card is the way to go.
Anything else has had mixed to poor results. Don't get a no name card.
Thanks... is there a difference between 32GB microSDHc and microSD? I'm checking eBay...and does anyone have any good tips on avoiding memory card fakes on eBay? And does buying on eBay invalidate warranties for SanDisk microSD cards? This seems to be the case for some products out there...
the number one rule of memory cards is:
don't buy memory cards on ebay!
obviously im not referring to every ebay seller, tbh i would think it seemingly quite easy to pick good ones from fakes, however enough people get smashed by ebay sellers to make me think this perhaps isnt the case, and its just best avoided.

This guy has it dead on. Theres so many fakes on ebay its not even funny. Amazon is the way to go but even there can be fakes.
I got mine from this place, the "fulfilled by Amazon" is helpful. What i got from them was definitely real.

OK.... maybe someone here can offer me another seller (anywhere) that sells a real one for a good price. I'm currently looking into the particular Amazon one provided above, but I would hate to accidently buy fake one and realize that I can't send it in for warranty because it is fake...
One that they know for sure is real, that is...

I bought that exact one from that place it came in Sandisk retail store packaging, with warranty card, instructions, etc. I also have been using it for months now with no failures or loss in data size and noticeable speed increase over the stock class 2 card. I can guarantee you if you buy from the link I sent the card is genuine Sandisk product.
I've bought the no name ones and others here have bought ones from shady places as well. The card starts to blink out or not accept data, it won't stay mounted, and it runs slow and laggy. The other way to tell is to download any number of available SD card test programs to your PC and run a test on it. The tests will do things like fill the card to capacity to verify its size. Theres usually no way to tell by looking at it that its a fake.
OK. Thanks.. that sounds trusty...
I'm glad I finally got it. It's the white one. Now what do I do with it?? I'm kidding. I'm checking out the posts to find out what I should do with it...
You can always try using the Media Go on your PC/Mac and buy PSP Games, PSone Classics and stuff, not sure how they will work on the Play though, or if you can even transfer them to the play, havent tried it yet myself
Hey there.
Planning to buy a new phone in April or May, and have narrowed it down to XS and S3 Mini.
Now, I love the XS design, camera and all other features. All in all, its quite an awesome phone. Just a few questions to be asked:
1. Are the capacitive buttons alright? I'm buying the phone online, so no chance to use. I've seen many people on video reviews saying they're hard to touch. Is it really that difficult?
2. Is the back cover a bit flimsy? I've seen in a couple video reviews them mentioning it easily comes off. Is this a big issue? Because I don't think I hold the phone so tightly for it to come off.
3. Is it still worth buying? Do note that I am going to use Stock for a month before switching to FXP CM10. And its a 2012 June phone, so yeah.
4. How do I go about saving all my SD card stuff on this? If I flash CM10, how do I retain the SD card stuff, which I would have transferred? I don't quite understand. And how will I go about with the mass storage? How does it work?
Thanks a bunch in advance. All replies, including useless, troll ones will be thanked with the button.

I would like to, but its going to be very expensive. I'm getting XS for 20k INR (~$360-365) online. That would be for like 30K. My budget ends on 21K tops.

Hey guys!
I was desperately looking for a nice small flash drive for Android and iOS but I didn't find the right solution. Just the bulky ones.
So I decided to develop my own product with help of an engineering company. But before starting further development I want to know if you would get such a micro usb flash drive.
Check out the website with alpha design: www.matcha-t.com/
How many of you would be interested on getting one of these?
Thanks!

So it's like Sandisk Cruzer Fit flash drive with two shorted pins to turn it into OTG flash drive? Sounds cool, but the question is if you can plug it into a regular PC/Mac usb port to copy files to/from? Another food for thought, keep in mind for your design that a lot of people use bulky phone/tablet cases to protect their devices, and you need to take this into account so it works with cases. Btw, here is what I use for my OTG storage drive needs, mostly to watch movies loaded on Cruzer Fit drive: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107985
