New ROM for the A100?!? - Acer Iconia Tab A100

Guys, check out this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308469
Check out that guy Vache... Doesn't it look like he has some sort of link to an A100 ROM in his signature? The stuff about Sense ports?
Does anybody know anything about these?

Here is the key... He lists a rom for the Acer Liquid a100 not the Iconia a100

If he makes one for the Iconia A100 that lets me underclock/undervolt so I can read Kindle books for more than about 5 hours without needing to find a plug he'll be my favorite frog ever.
At least Acer didn't include that asian sized short power cord from the A500 with the A100. It actually reaches from the wall, over the arm of the couch to my tablet while I use it if need be.

I don't know if it works with that.
Actually there no development on the A100, you should wait unti ICS is released by acer on this tab to have a real development thread.
But if you really need those feature, sell your tab and buy an A500, for 50€ more than the A100.
its good i found an other solution
i take a seedbox

[Q] USB keyboards on kindle fire.

So I have a question I got a kindle fire mostly for school. I have not rooted yet(waiting for my prime trial to expire haha) but when I got it I had no Idea USB keyboards were not compatible. What I wanna know is if the keyboards are not compatible due to the, from my understanding, extremely modded gingerbread that the fire comes with or if once I root to an ics rom will the keyboards be compatible.

You can try, but make sure you get a nice, stable ics rom. If none are obsolete, get CM7 from JackpotClavin's thread. However, the keyboard must be one designed for a tablet with micro USB support. If it doesn't work, I could probably piece together a driver..but let's not get carried away yet I'd get the right keyboard and a rom first. Let me know how it goes Oh, I almost forgot, it should be a limitation from the extremely modified gingerbread os

I'm looking at keyboards through amazon and most of them say recommended for fire but claim to be for ipad. I have a microusb to Usb 2.0 converter. Should I be ok with that?

You can't use any old converter. You need one made specifically for USB OTG use. These have a couple of connectors shorted together that tells the device to go into OTG mode.
You also need a kernel with support for USB OTG built into it. This disqualifies all CM7 ROMs.
Support for USB OTG on Kindle Fires is spotty at best. You may or may not need to have a separate power source for this to work. There are many discussions on this in KF General.

Could be wrong, but seem to remember reading that this won't work with Android.
I heard this kind of cable worked with Asus tablets like the Transformer or Transformer Prime (probably all of them anyway), so I'm not sure Android is a limiting factor. But the one I tried with my GN 10.1 didn't work . Should give it another try since I got un update since then.

My Gtab has a dock with an RJ-45 LAN connection that works. I guess it's not a traditional USB interface as it uses the large connection on the bottom of the tablet.

Yeah, I've seen several on Amazon that report working with the Transformer.
I have a USB Ethernet adapter that worked perfectly with my Transformer Prime 201 before I switched to the Note 10.1. When I attach it to the Note via the USB OTG adapter, it throws the "High Power USB Device" warning and doesn't work. I need to track down a powered USB hub and test it out with that.

Acer Iconia One 10 (B3-A50FHD) - rooting

Help!
My Acer Iconia I would class as bricked when I bought it. It is living it's own life, Google life! I would like to get Google out of the tablet to take control over the tablet. I have tried to root the tablet with all kinds of root program, and none works.
I do not find any information about Acer Iconia One 10 any where. Am I the only one in the world with this crap?! My plan is to put Linux Deploy on it, because I am a newbee that just want my tablet to follow my orders.
Please help me.
