[SOLVED][Q] Where's the RAM?

My phone shows 370Mb Total, 198Mb Free. Not the 512Mb as promised.
I don't get it. Is some of this RAM blocked off and dedicated to some obscure backgrounded processes?
How much RAM do you guys have?

I read around a bit. So does the GPU share in the 512? How come my G1 showed the full advertised 192Mb and this does not?

Yes, the GPU (and the radio) shares in the 512MB. That's normal.

different cpu/gpu combo.
thats y the g2 has better graphics.
No bigger tho you wont have a problem with it

Android oreo go custom rom?

Maybe this can fix multitasking issues. What do you think?

+1 for this. My GF 5X is always on low free ram and stutters a lot. Only if RAM is >900-1GB is smooth.

No. This won't help. O Go is meant for <=1GB RAM devices. It doesn't actually do any good on more ram.

How much ram is Oreo and Gapps using on your Nexus 5x? It's not less than a gig of Ram if you're on stock, that's for sure.

This is totally irrelevant, but I'll amuse you:

That's running services. What about cached apps? I'll humour you. Top right. That's where the problem lies on the 5x imo. It has to keep ram free, so apps get bumped out of cache to keep about 250mb free at all times for android/Google/assistant - even if you rarely use it.

I'm looking for ROM with best GPU performance. Actually I'm at AEX 4.6 and I think this don't giving 100% power of Adreno 530. Am I right or this is one of the best what we have actually?

There is AKT integrated into the ROM. So, you can choose whatever profile you want

Its good when rom is installed fresh as rom starts settling app load increases and game performance goes down

I also noticed same.

Pixel Experience, maybe? I haven't big problem in gaming. Playing [email protected] CGSS and Million Live between 1-2 hours nonstop using 3D high still no lag even I installed much app.

Miui 10 Throttling While playing PUBG

Hey guys, Currently I'm on MIUI 10 China beta 8.6.21.
While playing PUBG at 60fps device becomes hot after sometime and game kinda starts lagging/stuttering. I guess MIUI is throttling the CPU. I need some suggestions regarding the fix for this. Any Help will be appreciated.

Anyone? Regarding the throttling fix? tried 2 kernels but both of em dont have the thermal temperature throttle option in kernel adiutor?

Try lovering the graphics on the game.

Its not the graphics i guess its the temperature.Its throttling even on 50°C. Any way to change the thermal throttling temperature?Its way too low.

Use this config....... I am having less heating and smooth gameplay or if you feel game is lagging try to switch to hd. And i am using kirks kernel 1.4 for miui.

I have the same problem. after updating to Miui 10 game started to lag here and there (before update all was perfect). I tried to reduce Fps and graphic quality but no improvement. Did some one fund a solution . I don't have my Phone rooted (Xiaomi Mi 8)

hii no lag playing HDR EXTREME.. but battery backup is getting worst with all new upcoming updates since android 7 was awesome
