stuck at htc one logo, recovery mode failed - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
My 3 years old htc one m9 is getting me headache the past months.
I am thinking this more of a hardware problem (dead nand probably) than software but lets see.
Phone statrs pretty hard, it needs 20-30 restarts or so. I am not able to hard reset it from the settings nor through recovery mode.. (recovery mode failed). Now the phone won't start even after 50 restarts. Sometimes it starts but the screen is black.. i can only power off/reboot/airplane mode (the animation after pressing power button is ok thoug)
Software status - Modified
LOCKED
S-ON
I haven't rooted my phone or etc... just stock (only official OTA updates)
htc download mode:
LOCKED
htc_himauhl PVT S-ON
LK-1.0.0.0000
RADIO-01.01_U1144011_117.00.61117G_2

OS-4.14.401.7

Can I fix it somehow or I should consider buying a new one?

If it can get to download mode just flash the stock firmware via external SD card. If that fails then its cabbaged.

How can I do that and how big sd card do I need?
And from where should I download the stock firmware, also how can I see the correct version for my phone?
PS C:\adb> fastboot getvar all

After flashing it through download mode everything is working fine

Return to Stock

hi everyone
Been searching/ downloading and flashing but wanted to know if there is a way to confirm that i have in fact returned to Stock.
I am on EE (Orange) UK, unlocked bootloader, S-ON and custom recovery.
I wanted to return to pure stock and wait for the official OTA to 1.4x
I flashed correct RUU for my MID/ CID that got me back to 1.32.61.15
I then flashed the specific recovery.img for 1.32.61.15
it looks like i am back to stock but is there anyway of knowing for sure?
Fastboot getvar all returns the following (imei removed)
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_himauhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) imei: ********
(bootloader) version-main: 1.32.61.15
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 0PJA10000
(bootloader) cid: ORANG001
thanks -
If you used a RUU then you are back to stock

I need to know how to enter recovery mode (I already tried but I can't) or how to S-OFF without entering android and, the most important thing, how to flash or at least how to wipe data and factory reset.
I have fastboot and adb, both on windows and ubuntu.
I already tried on htcdev.com but I think I need to enter android and actually I can't: my little brother messed up with the authentication and i'm unable to unlock the device.
I found TWRP backup and OTA update here http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/stock-nand-backup-ota-update-collection-t3132698 for ORANG202. Would you be so kind to explain me what should I do next?
I tried copying the renamed OTA file (0PJAIMG) on the sd card, went into download mod, volume up to start flashing, but give me
22 RU_HEADER_ERROR
22 RU_HEADER_ERROR
FAIL22 RU_HEADER_ERROR
I managed to enter the recovery mode and I did the factory reset. Thank you all, gentlemen!

HTC One M9 No TWRP, No OS, No Recovery Mode

Hey guys I really need your help!
Just got this HTC One M9 that was previously rooted with the "Viper" ROM. As the person gave it to me he wiped it clean leaving only "TWRP" on there. Anyways somewhere along the line I accidentally wipe the whole phone clean and now there is no TWRP... Selecting recovery mode comes up with "Failed to boot to recovery mode". And now my computer won't even recognize it as a device. :crying: Guess I got what I paid for, $200.
Can someone please help urgently? Btw, I'm from Australia.
Cheers.
Did you try to turn it off, hold Vol- when powering up and see if it'll boot to download mode? If this works you can easily flash TWRP again to start flashing a custom ROM from scratch, or instead flash an appropriate RUU to return to full stock - if available for you combination of CID/MID.
For further help, if you can get to download mode a fastboot getvar all output would be if help to further assist you. Post it - if possible - without IMEI and Serial No.

I'd advice to download the RUU belonging to your above named main version number, rename it to 0PJAIMG.zip, place it on an external (FAT32 if less than 32GB, extFAT if lager) formatted extSD.
Insert this SD into your phone and boot to download. You should then see a yellow text on the bottom stating what to do to start flashing the RUU and follow it to proceed.
This will get you back to full stock, to be able to start from scratch with whatever you'll do next.

While using whatsapp my phone froze, so I forced restarted it. Then it said configuring apps then froze again. After that it rebooted into bootloader. I can go into recovery mode and download mode also, no further. It was stock but in bootlodaer it says modified. It is locked with S-ON. I really need help. I've tried factory resting it, I cant install anything cause of the locked bootloder and S-ON.

Please don't ask for help for one and the same problem in more than one thread. It's harder to help if there are two places where possible solutions get posted. Not everyone is reading every thread and therefore some solutions might get recommended more than once.
Edit: And here's a link to the other thread where this topic gets discussed.

That is stock recovery.
After booting to the recovery, you'll see a large exclamation mark on the screen.*
Press the power button, then short press volume up + volume down to activate the HTC recovery menu. Use your volume keys to navigate through items.
But since you're s-on, you won't be unlocking the bootloader without the help of Sunshine team.

My God it's good to see you here Santod. If anyone knew, it'd be you. I haven't had the 10 in a few years.
How about the htc_pmewl model? Is that that normal VZW model id? or the FUSED or PRODUCTION flags? Is that the norm now?
Thanks man.
