Hi, guys!
Recently I decided to install Android 7 ROM but have a strange bug with my bluetooth headphones.
It's Bose QC 30. After pairing they with my phone I hear no sound, but if I turn off and then turn on bluetooth on the phone the headphones work correctly. If I turn off and then turn on my headphones and they will connect to my phone, I hear no sound again
If my phone connects to my headphones - all right.
If my headphones connect to my phone - no sound.
When I used Android M, my headphones worked fine.
I tried any ROM with Android N: CM, lineage, Cypher (AOSCP) and many others, each of it has this bug.
I tried to use another headphones (QCY QY12) and very old bluetooth speaker (LG Music Flow P7), they worked correctly.
I don't understand, where is this bug in android N or in Bose firmware.
Any suggestions to fix it? Thanks!
Can I use anything to debug my bluetooth connection and read logs of it?
HTC One M8 (HTC__A07)
S-OFF
Firmware: 6.12.401.4
I would say its from the headphones because are probably old model.I have strange problems with Bluetooth headphones and speakers after upgrading to android 7.My opinion is that they are not compatible with the new version of the android.

The headphones are a new model of September 2016 but they probably use a old bluetooth chip. Although I tried to use lg music flow p7 bluetooth speaker witch is too older than the headpones and it works fine.
It's a very strange issue.
Yes , strange indeed. Sadly I don't think there is fix for that
And I notice the simmilar issue with my laptop (macOS Sierra 10.12.2): at the first time when the headphones connect, they use SBC codec, if I reconnect they then they use AAC codec. May be Android 7 has a bug to work with SBC codec?
I just bought a new Bluetooth headset off Amazon. I got the Rioddas HX 831. I have a D851 that was running crdroid oreo when I got the headset the other day. Music workes great but phone calls are horribly distorted on my end and people are not able to hear me. I decided to switch to RR just to test the headset and give it a spin since I have tried RR Nougat but not Oreo. On RR the headset has the same problem. I flashed Moun Kernel as well and the problem persist. I will post logs in a few minutes but all the Oreo roms claim Bluetooth is working so I am stumped.

Hey there,
I'm currently running a OP3 with the OmniDragon 8.1 ROM and previously the ResurrectionRemix ROM. However, I do not believe this issue to be a ROM issue so that's why I'm posting here instead.
I've recently been having some issues with bluetooth and was hoping someone could help. I can connect my phone to my cars handsfree system perfectly fine and it works correctly. I can play music via Spotify and any other music player fine.
However, as soon as I make or receive a phone call I'm left where the person can't hear me, and I can't hear them. I can't even hear the ringing tone when phoning someone. However, as soon as I turn it from bluetooth back to the phone or just regular speaker, it works fine.
This previously was not the case when I was running Nougat.
But as soon as I upgraded to 8.1 this issue started happening.
I don't think it has anything to do with the ROM and is actually something to do with perhaps OP3 Firmware/Modem or something similar.
Car hands free works fine with other phones like an iPhone, so that's out of the question.
I've attached a catlog to this post from when this issue was happening in the car, so hopefully someone can narrow it down for me.
Any help is appreciated!
Actually many roms have been having issues with BT calls. It's due to some of the changes in the telephony package.
Hello, did you manage to find any Oreo rom that fixed this issue for you? Would appreciate any tips.
I too have had similar issues with Oreo and OnePlus 3. Using an handsfree Jabra Freeway and the microphone often does not work when I answer or phone someone during a drive. Which is extremely annoying and dangerous.
I had hopes that with the release of some alpha Android Pie roms, these BT issues would be fixed. But the issue seem to persist, at least for my device.
My only fix was to go back to nougat. The most stable rom i've found is the unofficial lineage 14.1 by sultan. This have been my daily driver for awhile now and seems to work fine.
I'm using a bluetooth 4.0 stereo headset with my D851 running oreo 8.1 (tested all the oreo roms by HardStyl3r, firebird11 and even tried beta pie by HardStyl3r) and i'm still getting quite a lot of distortion as soon as I answer a call. I can't seem to change the bluetooth audio codec or settings as they reset on leaving the menu.
Any help is appreciated....
I've found out that headphones mic only works on Oreo roms (didn't try Nougat...), not on Pie... Bluetooth mic is working ok
Is this a general problem or just my device's fault? What should I have to do for Pie roms to have working mic?

Can please list the ROMs you have tried & faced this issue.
I have used multiple Pie based Custom ROMs & mic did work fine.
Infact for many video shooting projects, I used wired mic (lapple) & headphone based mic for voice over.
Worked ok for me.
Just for testing, try different pair of headphones to see if anything wrong with a perticular pair or brand of headphones.
Thanks
Actually it was not a rom version problem, I installed zui 1.9 qpst and still no sound.
It just was.... dust in the socket... working great now... I've wasted a lot of time thinking it was a software problem but no...
So this phone will last maybe a year more
