Chuwi Hipad Gaming Tablet - Device Reviews and Information

Chuwi Hipad Gaming Tablet - Review Hub
So what do you think:
Is the 3GB of RAM enough?
Is choosing the older Helio X27 wise?
Good value bargain? or a re-hashed dated tablet?

So i'm the only owner here?
I was hoping there would be more.
I'll try and post a mini review in the next days to help future buyers.

I was just looking at the HiPad. I would love to hear what you think of it.

When it will be available .. And at what cost?
Shipping of the first units should start around the middle of November - at least according to one reseller.
Quite a shame I went for the Vi10 Pro 64GB Z3736F, when this is coming around in a month (from China to Europe in 2 months with shipping?) for a bit extra price.
Hopefully I'll be able to swap it without any harm to my wallet, haha
There is a new vi10 ultimate with that chip you can check it om banggod

Impossible specs, cherry trail z8300 processor will not take 4gb ram ? if it was the cherry trail z8500 processor then it will take 4gb ram,so at the moment the specs are very unreal, also i thought this tablet was a 10.6 inch screen,it's down as a 10.1 ?
The price will be around $200. Pretty good for what you get if you ask me. Don't be fooled by these overpriced offers at Aliexpress. Banggood is a legit site and listed it at price below $190! And they marked the battery as a real 6800mah, not 8000mah. I 100% trust them rather than these sellers on Aliexpress having questinable reputation.
Could I technically Android and create a dual boot of windows/Linux mint on this?
I think that the real question, is wether the tablet has the z8300 or the z8500.
Because, as it has allready been said, the z8300 does not support 4gb ram
Anyone has any knowledge on that fact?

x8300 only allows for 2GB RAM so the CPU or the amount of RAM is incorrect?

Hello, dear sir
Thank you for your support to Geekbuying.
Yes, it's really with z8300 processor and supports 4gb ram, we confirmed it with the manufacture.
Hope our answers are helpful for you.

I cant post urls.
So search for "techtablets intel z8300 4g".
"
Many of the new Cherry Trail Tablets due to be released soon like the Chuwi Hi10 have Atom X5 Z8300’s in them, but with 4GB of Ram. I originally thought this must have been a typo, or it was the Z8500, as it supports up to 8GB of Ram. Well it seems the X5 Z8300 can indeed support 4GB of Ram, although Intel’s Ark claims it’s limited to 2GB & single channel.
"
see pictures of live operation system screenshots with 4GB.
The sellers "4GB" claims seem to be legit.
Eagerly awaiting the release of this to make my decision on getting one or going with the Teclast X98 Pro.

I'm just worried about the battery. Some people say 8000mAh and others say 6500mAh. Battery life won't be good if it's only 6500mAh.

I'm not an expert, but I did see that it has an 8000mAh battery rated at 6500mAh. Not sure what that means, but it sounds less than stellar for battery life.
Well I ordered on on black Friday and they said they will be in stock on December 4-5 and it ships via Netherland post (if you chose free shipping) so there will probably not be high (if at all) customs fees.

After some time of using it, so far the screen flickering is the issue most people having.
Some other issues such as black screen after sleep (it's half wake, but not showing login menu), and screen will off randomly while using bluetooth keyboard.

App launch speed

OMG! Kim K posted another selfie with tons of cleavage! Rate this thread to express how quickly apps launch on the Honor 8. A higher rating indicates that even the most intensive apps launch quickly and without hesitation, even if they are no longer in RAM.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

Honor 8 can launch apps really fast. Apps that I use daily are WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube. It is a real enjoyment to see app loads that fast compare to my older phone.

Thank you for the positive review on your Honor 8! The Honor 8 is powered by an octa-core CPU @4x2.3GHz + 4x1.8GHz built on a 16nm architecture. 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM enable flawless multitasking and seamless gaming. If you notices a lag, we always recommend users to shut down their devices for 3-5 minutes everyday to re-calibrate. We appreciate the feedback, as always! (NS)

I saw that too, was actually a factor in me going for it over the 7. But yeah, it's lightning fast.
For sure honor 8 is the best phone for launch speed so far. Even faster than oneplus 3 and iPhone 7. iphone 7 is only faster at launching games

The only game I've struggled with is Flight Simulator. Didn't care enough to tweak the settings though, got bored of it. Otherwise I tried Forza Horizon and get over 120fps

You are also paying a premium though for a 3080. Also Razer Blade doesnt have upgradable RAM, no an issue today, but will be down the line. Not a bad machine by any stretch though. My G14 is at 40GB right now
I mismatched the memory (on purpose) because RAM with 22 latency vs 20 on-board latency is $287 vs $160. I lost 4fps using the RAM with 22 CAS but that could also be do to Windows 11. I can live with it if it saves me $120.

Question Performance: Dimensity 9000 vs Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

Hey,
I am very interested if some of you could share their experience with the performance of either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Dimensity 9000 version.
Especially I'm interested in regards of Camera Performance (I heared that Snapdragon Version has a slightly better one), Gaming/Power Usage and overheating/thermal throtting.
Unfortunately I could not find any usefull comparison so far, which makes me curious how your experience is.

I just got mine here in Dubai and it has the Snapdragon ToS. which variants come with the dimensity ?
Not sure but -> Maybe the Dimensity variant does not have the large 20mm x 30mm² fingerprint sensor which would be too bad if true.

I am only guessing because Qualcomm has this technology "3D Sonic Max". There is no information that Mediatek has similar solution. At least I can't find such. If this is the case, then for me the Snapdragon version wins easily. This is my favourite feature in this phone.

Sure, if that is the case then I guess most people will choose the SD version. No one wants to pay the same price for less features.
Full YT video available with a full comparison. Seem like Snapdragon takes a the lead in every department plus benchmarks are higher. Dimensity couldn't even complete stress test without shutting down if that's anything to go by
Totally false. My dimensity completes any stress test. Runs cooler than SD. Battery life is awesome (look at the power consumption difference between them, published online)

That's the snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, not the normal without the "+" so it's possible the results are slightly different on the X80 Pro (with the SD without "+")

Upgrade from Desktop to Mini PC comparison

Hello,
I plan on updating my Asus desktop to a mini PC soon. I've been looking around at some mini PCs already, and was hoping to get some advice, opinions, recommendations, and so on.
My current PC is here.
And another reference, here.
I'm looking for maybe a Beelink or another box-shaped PC. I have heard about certain mini PCs having some graphics performance issues, overheating, and that they has a short lifespan. So, I would be interested to know which is a good choice without issues.
My budget is probably $300 to $450. Maybe $500.
I want a better GPU for sure as I game a little, but I also own a Steam Deck and may not need anything too over the top. I was wondering what would be a good improvement over my current NVIDIA GeForce GT 740 Graphics (4GB) card.
The desktop I own now was released in 2017, I believe.
I've looked at the Beelink SER5, SER5 Pro, and SER6 Pro recently. Reading reviews, watching some videos, etc. I am a bit confused on what to choose as far as the specs go. For example, RAM, SSD size, processor, GPU, and so on. Would the SER5 Pro suffice? Or am I better off with the SER6 Pro? Or something else?
Anyway, I would love some recommendations and advice. Thank you in advance for the input!
