yesterday I read this article on xda over the port of the PixelMaster Camera app used in the ROG Phone.
So I tried it and apparently it works perfectly (so far) for me, so I thought you might want to check it out as well.

It works for me. What version of the phone do you have?
I'm using a the AOSP extended rom, so if you have the h870 version then maybe it doesn't work on stock or something.
Im on stock oreo and pro mode works.

Works for me. The only glitch which I noticed so far is that the flash does not sync to the shutter after opening the camera. Thus, the very first photo shoot with flash is underexposed, but the sync starts working afterwards.

The "Super Pixel" camera feature does not work. He says he's going to take a 53 MP photo. He says he's using another camera, he's freezing.

The app don't work for me. When I open it, I just have a black screen with the button of the app .
I work on pixel experience 9.0 AOSP
Works just fine in the stock ROM, but the flash is out of sync.
Only way to work fine is use the Flashlight option...

hi all I just put andomadus v10 on my wife's g2 and camera will not work it says sorry unfortunately camera has stopped.
Came from cyanogenmod7 . Put supewipe and rom on SD ran super wipe installed rom tried camera, no go. Installed GApps still no go. Any help is appreciated. She needs a camera and I wanna play with ics cause I'm still waiting for it on my sgs2 : )

Lg camera kinda worked but its very glitchy. I'd like to get stock camera working. Trying a reflash.

Camera is still work in progress, so you can expect some distorsions, glitches etc.
Try clearing camera data - settings/manage apps/all/...
This is still an alpha build, so it's not expected to be perfect. I still get weird distortions with the gapps v7 camera, although bar code scanner works perfectly.
It work better for me with the Camera360 app.
But not perfect yet...
Well when the list of working and not working shows as "camera(kind of)" I wouldn't expect it to be anything like cm7 considering when CM does release it will be CM9.

If you flash the Alpha10 and then you flash gapps your stock cam isn't the right one. Gapps have a Camera.apk. You can remove the CameraGoogle.apk from gapps zip before flash it or remove CameraGoogle.apk from /system/app/ and push the one in Alpha10's zip

I use FXcamera and it works well for me.
But no zoom inside this app...

As written in developer forums for quattro or andromadus roms. Camcorder is still not working. Camera is working but still glitchy, and best solution to remove glitches is to set the camera to VGA resolution. yes for someone VGA resolution may be not the solution but, the camera in g2 is really not so good and if you want to take higher quality pictures i think it is better to use "real" camera not camera embed into phone.

and why to use zoom - our device is not supporting "real" zoom. just SW zoom, what means, software will crop, and then upsample the image from camera. This process will just make your "zoomed" pictures look much worser in the end of the process.

I've got a camera app on the play store called "Snap Camera HDR" and people have reported that it crashes on the Optimus G.
I don't know what ROMs they are running, (probably Stock) and I've had one report for geehrc and one for geeb so it probably affects all models.
If somebody could get me a log of it crashing and help with testing, I'd be really grateful. Attached is a full version of the app.
This will work for a few days but will then fail the license check, send me a log and I'll give you a licence for the app.

And well, it works good, cant get it to crash or so :d
Tried and working well on stock european rom 10d. No chrashes but a few times it took pictures by itself and sort of merged two pictures together. I think it was in HDR mode. Attached a pic of it.

OK, Thanks, I don't know what the problem can be then. I'll try to get more information from the people who said it crashed.
The HDR photo looks about right, you have to hold it still to capture two exposures.

Hi dzo, good to see you here. Your job with snap Camera was very good (as always), I know it since X5.
I've snap Camera for 3/4 months and never crashed on stock rooted ROM.

beat me to the punch. can you elaborate a bit on the g pro's performance with this? I already installed the app and enabled the screen mirroring, but I'm not home so i can't test it yet.
Video lags some, but I think it is my router. Everything else works great!

Rooted Stock KK E988 ROM on E980

For those interested, viperfx causes the Google play services crash while trying to use this. I un installed viper and can now cast the screen with no issues. Im running sphinx v 1.6 for the e980.
It now works on CM11 with MirrorEnable V3.
Still can't get it...
I'm not very proficient at working with a rooted phone as I've only just gotten root access (which took awhile). I'm running a stock ATT kitkat (did I say that right?) and cannot get the cast option in my Chromecast. I've done the following:
Installed SQLite;
Installed the most recent version of Chromecast;
Installed the most recent version of the mirror enabler (v5), and enabled mirroring;
Rebooted after the install of each.
Don't know what else to try.

Hi Guys, I pulled the Messenger APP from Android L preview. And its working fine in our Moto G for sending and receiving messages.
MMS only not working .... Messenger force closes, when you press the attach button...

Yea i am w8ing for it!
I've been using it since this was posted and I admit I had FC issues. As soon as I deleted the native messaging all, it hasn't FC'ed once. Works like a charm. I am using Falconee. Thanks for the post. Love it!!!

What I mean is: my messages appears on both profiles but i want my second profile to have his own conversations.

Every time I open the app, it hangs for about 5 to 10 seconds before I'm able to use it. Never happened on my old phone.

I am not able to use snapchat at all. It does not even allow me to login. I get a message saying something like it won't work well on rooted phones. Strange!

Yeah i figured out that it was not coz of the root itself but the xposed module that i had installed that caused the issue..

Use an version older of snapchat, may be that works
Best solution is to use RootCloak, an xposed module that hides from Snapchat the fact that your device is rooted. If you logout from Snapchat when xposed is installed it detects xposed and doesn't log back in. Use RootCloak to hide xposed as well as root from Snapchat. Works like a charm.
Unlocked bootloader, rooted phone, and Snapchat works just fine for me.
Install Beta versión of snapchat
Use Casper for Snapchat... The alternative version that's lightweight and works fine or even better than the regular.
Root Using Magisk ... It Will Be a Way Better To Pass Safety Net And Allow You To Use Every App Flowlessly Without Being Detected
