[APP] Dell Stage UI Launcher & Widgets

This has been posted in other device specific forums. Works on the Galaxy S. Just download and install individual APK's.
This launcher requires Froyo 2.2.

Does this version work with dialer or does it have to be modified like aosp had to be to work with samsung dialer?
It is a great launcher having the speed scroll through pages with swipe on the bottom too bad the widgets dont have any options.

Doesn't work with the samsung phone app. Doesnt let you log onto facebook using the Social widget. Everything else worked pretty well.

Yeah same here but i like it.Only need to figured out the phone aplication anyone know how to assigned it?
The email app doesnt work too well also i mean doesnt show the last emails u have to add the account to see it

It may be in the manifest of either the launcher or the phone app. I will have a look after.

Would be nice if you could upload it somewhere else. This one is very slow. :-( It's stuck at 6% and now i can wait for half an hour.

Solved the prolem. Thanks for sharing.

app drawer is very laggy and widgets are not working well. If someone can optimazed apk will be very good launcher.

I see in your signature that you are running eclair rom unless u changed to froyo.This app is only for froyo.My app launcher is ok without lagg.

sorry but Im on froyo JPA if I hit app drawer my progs loading about 3 min I have 80 app's instaled

Just to be clear, this only works with Froyo. There are some problems with speed and reliability issues as this was pulled from the Streaks upcoming 2.2 update.

The tablet optimized Twitter app which was revealed at this years IFA has now been leaked and is now available for download.
I haven't tested this but it'll work fine anyway.
*NOTE* If you get any errors of FCs while installing, uninstall the original Twitter app and then try installing this again.

My bad didnt saw that, its working fine now

New updated skype crashes all the time.

I'm using Skype daily, I updated to the last version and I have huge problem. I can't even make a call, it restarts my phone when ever I try to make a call. Is there any chance I install old version?

I found the same problem. waiting update from Microsoft.

delete the data in all apps / Skype and rebbot your Phone.
Click the Skype app and try it again.

This is a "known" issue since the Android 4.3 update.
Skype client just wont work with Android 4.3 and although users have reported the issue to both Skype and Google forums, it hasnt been fixed!

Doesn't really help. It allowed me to see my status again and modify it, but i am unable to make audio video calls (skype to skype). While previously skype crashed my phone within five minutes, now i get a sort of soft reboot

Okay I will install Skype again and make another attempt, I leave it at 4.3 and Skype update problems is indeed what you acknowledge.

My wife's Nexus 4 is still on the original stock android, she installed the Skype update but didn't update to 4.3, and hers works fine. Looking likely that the Skype app couldn't handle whatever changed with the 4.3 update. Time to start using Google hangouts. !!!!

Skype + Nexus 4 = no crashing
Finally, I could have a video call with skype more than two hours on my nexus 4 without any crash. Thanks to the developer for the awesome modification. I have installed the latest version of the modified skype which is 20, on my nexus 4 with stock android 4.4 KitKat. Thumbs up. Feeling excited :good: :good: :highfive: :fingers-crossed:

I stopped having reboots on JB with the latest official skype from market. I still don't have reboots using the latest 4.4 kernel. Seems to be fixed for good!!

My phone used to get too hot during video calls which i think it's also fixed

4.4.4 MIUI AOSP based (coming very soon)

Figured i would start a thread so we can share what we know so far. It is getting close and there were a few beta builds but nothing public. Looks like it will make a huge leap currently it is 4.2.2 for v5 but v6 looks to be 4.4!

I am sure the note 2 will get an official release but I doubt it will be our version. We will most likely only get ports for our device. The international versions usually get all the miui goodness.

Well it has been a while since I have been here but figured I would give everyone a little preview. Also I need 5 testers who have sprint service and 4G LTE that can test for me since I am on cricket service. What I have is an AOSP based 4.4.2 MIUI!! Please send me a PM if you want to test. First five who reply will be able to test. I also have one extra spot for someone who has followed my MIUI work and I will shoot you a PM about this.

If you don't get enough testers PM me. I don't have 4g at home and won't be back to work until Tuesday to test those functions but I would be happy to help if needed.

I will hook you up with the next test version. The current one lacks a working dialer but I pushed the aosp dialer and it works so I will use it for now.

Okay here is a new tester. I have included the aosp dialer (miui dialer does not want to work) along with a few other aosp apps. Also miui superuser does not work so you will have to flash supersu if you want root.

The goodies keep getting better. I have modified the ramdisk on plasma 2.53 to work on this port! I am testing it out now and will post the link once I get permission.

I don't know if your upload or my download was corrupt on supersu but I had another one and that worked fine.
Install worked great. boot time was reasonable. I couldn't get your dialer to work so I grabbed one from the play store (first one in the list by modohut) worked fine at least for outgoing calls haven't tried calling in yet. I couldn't get sms to work at all so I installed hangouts and that works fine for me(not my preferred app but it works). No other issues so far but I am still testing. Thanks for the upload.

You have working 3g and 4g data?
When you installed you only had one dialer? The posted zip should have miui dialer (not working) and an aosp dialer. The stock SMS/MMS worked for me see pic below. FYI Google xda lg g3 keyboard. Works great on this ROM. Also try out WSM tools along with the mi-tools module. This is a mini version of xposed and works well also.
Last bit of goodness you will find in your inbox in a little while. A modified plasma 2.53 kernel to bring lots of extras to the table.

3G seems to be working I am getting 400k to 600k down, I don't have 4g in my area but I do at my work so I can test that on Tuesday.
There were 2 phone icons one in the dock which is green the other on the desktop which is blue they both force close on me. I used http://www.callmylostphone.com to test incoming calls and I am indeed able to call with the the one I downloaded. I have never used the one from the play store before I just wanted to see if a random one would work.
Not sure why sms didn't work it didn't give any errors but didn't send anything either.
I will try the new kernel and let you know how that goes.

You did wipe everything before install? Once 4G is confirmed working I will make a thread in the development section.

Philz has an option to do a wipe for a rom install, I did that as well as wiping cache and dalvik. Is there anything else you would want me to try? I would be able to try reinstalling tomorrow morning (almost my bed time now). The kernel you PMed me boots and shows in about phone. I downloaded Synapse from the playstore, wow that is a lot of options not sure I should be messing with some of them but I will definitely try a few of them out.

The sms/mms was my fault. It does work I have uninstalled hangouts. The phone I can not get working with the two default ones.
I get a lot of crashes complaining about themes not working even though I haven't tried to set one as you said it was broken.

Go into settings..developer options..turn off fc notifications and then you dont see that

4g doesn't work....and themes force closes every time I go to settings...and the music app is a bad 1 the setting are off in it...and GPS doesn't work at all...phone and contact apps force closes...never lets me open them...

I just flashed this ROM and on sprint network and I'm getting 4g just fine.

I'm in a 4G area now and it doesn't work fresh installed...but Idk

Hi here is the dialer from newley released android 4.4.3.
In my opinion has a nice new UI
Just install as a regular app. Tested on xt1032 CM11. SHOULD work on any 4.4 ROM though.
Please Note. This will not replace the existing dialer, unless you manually copy to /system/priv-app/ and set permissions as -rw-r--r Then delete dialer.apk from same folder. Reboot. Done.

Firstly I install it just as normal apk. Then I copied it to priv-app, set permission, unset permission on stock dialler, rebooted and still can not see dialer icon.

i got it from mediafire, and successful install it, but the dial icon is gone. when i uninstall it, the icon emerge. (test on Moto G GPE)

Tried on c ROM gpe converted 1033 dialer appears but incoming call screen not appearing : -)

Confirm on CM11 it works, but calling screen does not show. not receiving, not making calls.

Pushed manually to Priv-App, keept standard CM11 dialer, cleared data and cache on both = Google 4.4.3 dialer works as it should!
