This is your problem .. your device is Htc One M7 not M8.
Anything for M8 will not work on M7.
It's best to ask in M7 forum .. maybe they have RUU to fix your device.
Check - https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one
Add : you cab try to unlock bootloader again, if successful then install twrp for M7, it should boot. If unable to unlock bootloader you need RUU to fix it.

I've tried to unlock my bootloader using the Unlock_code.bin method but when I transfer it, It gets stuck.
By any chance do you know what RUU I need?

You need to ask in the M7 forum section. That is why you were directed there.

[RESOLVED] Baseband Version/IMEI unknown

Hi friends,
I hope you guys are able to help, I have spent the whole day trying to fix my phone. So it all started when I flashed a radio that didn't work (I had SuperCID). After that, I tried different radios and flashed a radio that had the same version with my stock radio and none of them worked. So I decided to restore my phone to stock factory settings by downloading a stock backup from here (2.22.707.4 - TWRP Thanks to ckpv5) and the latest firmware from here (2.22.707.4_firmware.zip).
I flashed the firmware first twice, successfully and the restore the stock backup from TWRP and it got into a bootloop. However if i flash a custom GPE rom, it boots successfully but Baseband/IMEI becomes unknown.
I'm not sure what else to do now :crying:
I've tested installing a custom Sense based rom and GPE based rom, the Sense custom rom will get stuck in a boot loop but the custom GPE rom won't have issues. Except for the Baseband unknown version and IMEI unknown.

Good news!
I managed to resolved the issue by downloading the Taiwan (HTC__621 / 1.54.709.4): 1.15.2133156.UA14G_20.18n.4096.05L radio from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2736921
Before I flashed the radio, I had configured my phone to SuperCID 11111111. I didn't clear any caches after the flash, not sure if that matters.
I haven't checked on why Sense roms are boot looping but I'm happy with a GPE rom without any issues. So I'll just stick with that for the time being

[HELP] Wanted to unroot, tried a procedure and many problems. Please help.

Hello guys, so today i decided to unroot my phone and go back to stock because i want to sell it. I started doing theunlockr.com method (http://theunlockr.com/2014/06/08/how-to-unroot-the-htc-one-m8-video/) in the step of flashing stock nandroid backup, i flashed it using TWRP restore utility, then i didnt find any folder in the gallery and there was around 5 out of 16 GB avaialible only, so i did a "fromat data", since it erases everything, i pushed the firmware 4.16.401.10 using ADB into the TWRP folder (it wasnt there so i created a backup and there i found it). Then i restored the nandroid backup, now there are 4.5GB used which i cant find and some folders still dont appear in file manager... and i have wifi issues, it doesnt connect to wifi and neither does mobile data work. I need help as soon as possible. ANy help is MUCH apprecciated. Than you guys. and if there is any other way to completely unroot hope someone would help.
PS, i am planning to flash stock recovery, its just i want to fix the current problemss then i can flash stock recovery and lock the bootloader.
Need more info. Do an adb getvar all, but remember to delete your IMEI and serial number (those are personal data) before you post the output.

The easiest way to go back to stock is to run the appropriate RUU.
Download this RUU onto your PC.
When the download if finished, hook your phone up to your PC and double click on the download.
Follow the prompts.
Super easy.
This will bring you back to stock including your stock recovery. It will also wipe your phone.

Thank you so much for your help, i will try this as soon as the download finishes. Is the normal M8 S-OFF or S-ON? and if it is either one, how do i change it? Because i want to go exactly back as it was in order to sell it.

You are already S-On, and will remain that way.
The only differences from the day you bought it will be that the bootloader is unlocked, and the the stock ROM is the latest Android version (5.0.1 Lollipop instead of 4.4.2 Jellybean), just as it would be if you had remained stock and updated through the OTA updates from HTC and your carrier.

Without S-Off (which costs $25), you can only set it to re-locked status and not locked, so I wouldn't bother.

From your getvar. Hook up to your PC, get into ADB, and enter adb getvar all.
Post the readout here. Edit out your IMEI and serial# from it first. That is private information that you should never post on a public forum.
EDIT: I saw your bootloader readout in the thread you started. There is no RUU available for your device (Vodafone) that I am aware of. Sorry.

Hi, szyminindy...
I don't have the technical expertise to help you, but the guys who do, are likely going to ask you to post a...
Code:
fastboot getvar all
...output.
This will provide them with something to help diagnose your problem, and hopefully come up with a solution.
Dont forget to edit out (remove), your IMEI and device SERIAL numbers before posting.
Good luck.
Rgrds,
Ged.
EDIT: ...and which you have now done... :good:
Your bootloader is unlocked? If so, your device is not bricked at all.
Download twrp: https://dl.twrp.me/m8/twrp-2.8.7.0-m8.img.html
fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.7.0-m8.img
Now you have twrp, download some rom(sense,cm,aosp) and flash it.
Maybe someone posted twrp nand and recovery for your cid/mid(so you can get stock 6.0).
EDIT: Actually it's posted
It's on ckpv5's thread, you got lucky, you can easily get your stock 6.0
When you got some working rom(doesnt matter sense/cm/aosp), here is the stock recovery for your cid https://mega.nz/#!P8oHETTQ!0iKB-iZhMlfYKiE1jvBMyZtribJKgV-hf4Zdy2zAiig and stock rom
https://mega.nz/#!X9IjVASb!bNCxQJlDbX40cLHGlmP1qk0SaYfW93lo8jicFv81B-4 Make sure to download both files and follow instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860

[Solved] HTC One M8 problems after attempting to root

Hi everyone,
I attempted to root my HTC One M8 a few months ago and I got completely stuck and soft bricked my phone.
I now just want to try to get it working any way I can (back to stock or rooted whichever is easiest)
My bootloader is unlocked
I have S-ON (and I'm not sure of the best method to gain S-OFF if this is required, as there is a lot of conflicting information)
and I have TWRP v2.8.7.0 installed (I know this must be an old version now)
My region is United Kingdom/ carrier EE
Can anyone please advise me how I might be able to get my phone working again? (back to any working state is fine)
If this is any help... when I do fastboot getvar all, this is the information which comes up

You have European version htc m8 .
The easiest method is running a RUU for going back to stock .
Relock your bootloader .
Go to bootloader
Give command
Fastboot oem lock
Download this RUU
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24369303960687057
Rename it 0P6BIMG.zip
Place it in sd card
Boot to bootloader
It will automatically read the ruu file and proceed with instructions.
HiT Thanks if SomeBody Helps you..
Thanks so much for the fast reply and perfect solution!!!
Hi sonnu0100.
I am in the exact same position as TMJay, however the only difference for me is that my CIDnum is "orange001".
Do you know which RRU I can use as the one you've provided for TMJay doesn't work for me. The error I receive is:-
"CID incorrect!
Update Fail!
Device halted due to Large Image update fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot"
My issue isn't as a result of me flashing things without care. I think there is an onboard memory problem as when I was using my M8 as my primary phone last year (before my HTC 10) it lost the OS without me doing anything. I was able to recover and get a working device again but can't remember what I did. I've gone to hand the phone to someone else to use and it's seemingly died again.... could just be erroneous.
Help appreciated.
Many thanks,
Hi,
For info, I've found a solution by referring to this thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860
So I'm back up and running with a working phone for now at least .
Cheers

HTC One M8 return to stock s-on

I had previously put custom crDroid 7.1.1 . I've been trying to return to stock with s-on. I've tried methods from different threads on here specifically: https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/guide-restore-european-htc-one-m8-to-t3072235
However, when I try retrieving the rom.zip file I get an invalid message. Any suggestions?

Try using this RUU instead.
Scroll down to the Manual System Update Instructions and read them. The RUU download is at the end of the instructions.
I've tried that. Unfortunatley it doesn't work.

Doesn't work how? "Doesn't work" doesn't help me/us to figure out what your issue is and how to fix it. When you run the RUU and it doesn't work, what error message are you getting?
it says, " The ROM Update Utility cannot connect to your Android Phone. Check your usb cable......."
I have the drivers installed

Maybe you should have read to the bottom of the instructions in the link I gave you, where it says with your issue you should boot to bootloader/fastboot and run the RUU from there.

I know you fix your issue by now
But i have a question, have you relocked your bootloader before running the RUU.exe ?
Sent from my HTC M8 using XDA Labs
No I didn't

that's why the RUU didn't work for you
next time you need to use the RUU you should relock the bootloader first ( for s-on devices )
using this command
fastboot oem lock
then flash the RUU in fastboot mode ( use the same android version or higher ( for s-on devices )
