Can't write ROM using Odin - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Hey all,
I appreciate there are lots of threads with similar issues, but they don't quite match.
I have a rooted S9+ SM-G965F with TWRP installed on the bootloader and the PixelExperience9 ROM have installed from https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...ce-development/9-0-pixelexperience-p-t3833294
I am wanting to try : https://www.xda-developers.com/excl...msung-experience-10-on-the-samsung-galaxy-s9/
However, when I boot into Odin, load all of the files and hit start, I get the following returned:
<ID:0/014> Added!!
<ID:0/014> Odin engine v(ID:3.1301)..
<ID:0/014> File analysis..
<ID:0/014> skip file list for home binary

<ID:0/014> msadp.mbn

<ID:0/014> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/014> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/014> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/014> abl.elf
Then, nothing. The phone doesn't really start to write and I get zero progress indication. I've left it running in excess of an hour.
In download mode, I can see
FRP Lock: Off
OEM Lock: Off
Secure Download: Enabled
If anyone has any suggestions what I can do, I would certainly try. One thing to note is that OEM Unlock is missing in developer options?!? So maybe this is a hangover from the samsung problem everyone else has?
ta,
J

I'm dense
Maybe, if I read the write-up, I would have realised that the image was for snapdragon, not Exynos
I'll leave this here in case anyone else tries to brick their machine without RTFM.

J

I was looking into this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpgL7gybHTU
I also noticed that I do not get a line that shows the progress on the phone shown in 2:13 of the youtube video.
If anyone can help me to solve this problem, possibly by using Teamviewer as to what I'm doing wrong is greatly appreciated
I will also be donating
I would start by running Odin again, then once completed reboot into stock recovery, wipe data and cache and reboot. That should get you going again
Okay thanks I'll try that.
I solved it.. I swear the recovery mode didn't work, then all of sudden BAM it did.
Glad to hear

Me too... Help please...!!!
fixed it
In the meantime I have been able to fix my problem.
Installed recovery-clockwork 4.6.0.6 via Odin (grabbed it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2364980 )
Running the recovery brought my phone back to life , and checking the settings 4,4,2 was installed!
Hope this helps you as well.

That procedure is only valid for GT-I9190 not for GT-I9195.

Lucky my GT-I9195 didn't know that. Because it certainly worked for me.
Can you tell me how did you fix it? in your own words.

bricked but with recovery mode/ twrp and download mode working

im an average user when it comes to rooting. flashed a new rom and then kernel and then ended up with bootloop. i didnt make a backup. we used kies 3 and smart switch for emergency firmware update, it finish the whole installation but when it comes to restarting the device it is still stuck on bootloop. after that we have tried flashing factory image including pit file. the firmware were tried to flash is G925TUVU3DOI1_G925TTMB3DOI1_TMB.ZIP and G925TUVU2DOH6_G925TTMB2DOH6 from sam mobile. halfway through installing the firmware we saw the cute android logo and then it says erasing.
the download mode now says
odin mode
[roduct name: sm-g925t
current binary: custom
system status: custom
frp lock off: off
secure download: enabled
knox warranty void: 1 (0x0304) tripped knox long time ago trying to root it. nothing bad happened
AP SWAREV: B:3 K:2 S:2
factory recovery mode says efs not mounted. were able to push files through adb fastboot.
would gladly appreciate if anyone can help us. thankyou
I noticed you said you tried to flash a .zip file through ODIN. I'm not sure if that normally works, but everything I flash through ODIN is a .tar or .tar.md5 file. There is a link to download the full stock DOI1 firmware somewhere on here. Find it and try to flash that, and then re-root using UniKernel.
Edit: Here is the thread with the DOI1 firmware file. Be sure to thank @Alex9090 for posting it.

Hm. It looks like the ODIN flash didn't fail, which leads me to believe the firmware you flashed was somehow bad. Maybe try downloading the firmware from a different site? But if you got it from Sammobile, it should be good though. Curious. I still recommend trying a different download. Short of that I have no more suggestions. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help. I hope you get it figured out.

Stuck in download mode after failed 6.0.1 update

Hello everybody !
I bought a Note 4 N910A unlocked on amazon but I have now a problem after an failed attempt to go 6.0.1.
My version was the DOI2 (5.1.1.) but I couldn't succed via flashing in recovery mode (update via sd impossible) neither with Odin (stuck at the beginning of the system bar).
I tried several official rom via Odin (N910AUCU2DOI2, N910AUCU1COC4, N910AUCU2COC6...) but same thing : stuck at the beginning of the system bar.
I tried also with a pit file and a nand erase all, but it's not working.
I have no access to recovery, only download mode.
Here is the rapport :

I don't know what to do know...
Thanks for you help !
PS : the phone is under warranty but maybe I can find a way before going to the store (in 2 weeks). And I would prefer not use a root way too, unless I have to ^^
Once you were stock to begin with, you should NEVER have to use a PIT file (unless you found some way to change the partition sizes).
Looking at that log, I suspect the issue is with your data cable or PC. I'd recommend trying this on another PC and data cable (just to be sure). It is unlikely that your device is one of those with a defective NAND chip for storage.
Thanks for answer and it worked with an another cable :good:
I'm now in COC6 (5.0.1) and I'm wondering if I can make an update with Odin to go directly in 6.0.1 or I need to make all the others updates?
I have to do all the wipes first?
Thanks for your advices!

Help! Getting freezes after few seconds!

Hi guys,
I've got a J200G/DD with stock ROM(5.1.1 - J200GDDU1AOK1) and UNROOTED which is getting freezes after few seconds of turning on getting to the 'Home". Anything can be accessed within the those few seconds and get freeze on wherever it was. No response for any button presses. Screen just shows what ever was doing.
Tried installing TWRP via Odin. But no luck since everytime it relock the OEM/FRP after reboot.
Any help would be much appreciated
