What customization is in MIUI PRO and not in MIUI.EU? And which one you recommend?

Sound Mod, Aroma installer, Optimisation on top of base rom, looks, feel, battery life, The dev, Stability, No ARB conflict, Installs host file to remove ads (option during installation), can install xperia keyboard or gboard or both (option during installation), Inbuilt Root enabler (option during installation), can select which basic miui apps to install (option during installation)
Its on the top :/

Have to say though, masik was not as smooth as MIUI.eu for me and the features were implemented poorly (different UI etc). Don't know if that has changed, tried it a few weeks ago and went back to MIUI.eu.
But as always trying will get you to the perfect ROM for you.

The brightness bar on masik 1.1 (i dont want 1.2 yet cause the call characters bug) is smaller than official one.
The battery when u select percent is ONLY percent and not battery and percent (less space at statusbar)
Can use vol up/down to change multimedia (incredibly official one doesn't have that)
The signal when u put 2 sim, shows only 2g/3g/4g at the sim that u select for internet (and not for the two signals), less space
The characters has a better size at rhe menus and maybe for all apps (official 10 has an ugly size even when u change it)
And many more..

Whats not the like....very feature rich and smooth....
But if your really want to change Rom, the advance way is to look in development section....many to choose from RR , CM, Mokee. All MM rom, some even got Nougat.
But if you want an easy way. Just download a launcher.
i am waiting on a bootloader unlock request via sms then i will flash CM14.

First I want to say that MIUI is too basic and I dont consider it a real rom.. thats my personal opinion.
Now there are 2 problems with your answer though I do appreciate it. First, the roms you suggest have issues, especially the camera and video recording. Second a launcher wont remove 2 I hate in MIUI which are the notification bar and task switcher.
But, I read that the task switcher in CM 14.1 is like the one in the stock rom so I may install CM. And the notification bar in MIUI is the worst I've seen. I cant believe it exists when the one in the stock rom is llight years ahead in looks and functionality.
Is it possible to replace the notification in MIUI with the one found in the stock rom? If not, can an Xposed app can do the trick?

I have used aosp and cm all my life... I personally used sony stock launcher and samsung ones also....light year behind..? I don't believe so...it just different not useless. Miui also got something other launcher dont have like second space and dual apps...like others l, need to installed separately. Rr and cm for mm is stable..if you keep up to date with the current development, youll know. Only for naugat probably some issues...if rooted your device and unlock, miui got xmiui apps for xposed to setting up miui launcher. But if you do hate miui, then RR rom is the best for now.

Hi, in my opinion there`s no any rom more appropriate that the stock, let`s clarify that rom stock for Xiaomi is Miui developed to bring all the functionality to device, actual version of miui is so complete, previous v5, 6 they lacked many functions. maybe you must explore the themes from miui to change fonts, icons, notification bar, colors and others, really nice themes (first explore, if you didn`t), besides miui launcher you can replace for any other (Nova. BB Launcher, HTC Launcher) and you must uninstall just deleting with a file explorer or with a remover app after rooting. Anyway you have others roms (custom); for me the best in MM is Mokee and for Nougat is the last build from RR. Preferences may vary.

There is a theme called Android N in MIUI theme store to change the appearance of notification shade, status bar, quick serious toggle and recents apps. BTW Resurrection Remix by Ajsmsj78 is highly recommended. The camera and video recording is working perfectly. I use open camera.

Easy, why do you buy a xiaomi phone?
Buy a nexus or whatever phone with stock rom and you will not have problems in that sense.

It's as close to stock as you can come on any phone other than Nexus/Pixel phones.
A different launcher helps. Problem is few Roms other than MIUI work on helium. Only major problem is lack of NTFS and exfat support. Might be better if bootloader is unlocked and Xiaomi.eu MIUI version installed. Over all the phone is good. Better and larger screen than my Nexus 6. Other big problem is no to poor printer support when trying to print from the phone.

MiniMode by xiaomi.eu stable 11.0.4/11.0.2/11.0.3.0/10.3.15/10.3.12/10.3.9.0

From what I managed to do and it turned out (as far as I have free time, I will try to complement this mod), In the "dialer", the option of choice, the maximum screen brightness and the selection of the window with the incoming one are added. Added selection, vibro to unlock, extended battery selection, battery position on the right / left side, togla, so far only managed to overcome in the open state (4-6), weather in the curtain, desktop slightly modified, icons slightly increased, clock and battery in the status bar, notifications in the status bar are slightly shifted closer to each other, three weather widgets with a clock from the worlds firmware, an iconopak with multi-room firmwares added.

Can you send a proof? No offense but.... China ROM for mi9t/k20 doesn't have widevine support at all, so it's L3 in best case. You cannot watch HD with L3, no matter what you do. You didn't find the app because it's listed as "non-compatible" in playstore if you use EU or china rom. Just download DRM Info from playstore and check "Security Level". I think it'll say "L3" which means you watch Netflix and Amazon in 480p
If it's "L1" it would be also important to know why :fingers-crossed:

Dayum :crying: I thought you found the ultimate solution
Indeed 480p is good enough for a 6" display. But if you know that you can't watch HD just because of the DRM sh*t, it drives you crazy.

yes. twrp is needed, you can give it a try, but do backup first, remove magisk and all modules. but recommended is clean flash.
I downloaded from mi forum
So far so good everything works like a charm but battery cant last whole day
On 4.4 kernel i can archive 2 day straight without charging, on the same battery unit now

So I've testing ever since and THERE'S HUGE BUG
gyroscope isn't working properly, auto rotate works fine (magnetic sensor)
But when i play games with gyro uses such as PUBG it drift away so hard
Perhaps its caused by broken persist.img ?
Or it caused by the rom itself?
Btw has anyone tried custom kernel in this rom? Core control kinda fu*ked up it closes core 3 even when thermal protection disabled

Hello,
I did check gyroscope, its working fine. You can see attached pic. but i dont pubg. I have used various custom roms. i usuallly get 5.30 to 6.30 hrs SOT in customs roms. but in miui roms, mostly i got 5hrs of SOT. but just of camera and stuff, i am using miui. As portrait mode and camera optimization is best in MIUI.
No custom kernel i have tried yet.

I guess so, maybe its Pubg related problem.
Btw for core problem, i use AKT tweak and it solved
Using battery saving mode from AKT give me futher SOT and insane idle time. Highly recommended
And lastly, it seems a lot of apps not being optimized (doze), can be fix by install hidden miui settings app and manually optimize those apps

you can manually do it by

The best rom for note 8?

Can it be the best rom for this phone? Now I have Pixel Experience, but it has too many bugs.
Try corvus 8.0. seems good to me.
i've tried panadroid, bliss, aosp extended, xiaomi eu weekly, colt, ressurection remix, corvus, havoc, crdroid, superior os
the best for me is unoffical bliss by bezke for better battery usage, ressurection remix for performance, aosp extended for ram management
I tried download Bliss, but was imposible. Always the link failed. I will try to download it again.
I will read something about corvus too.
Tried all so far. None were 100% to my liking. Always something wrong:
- no bokeh mode in portrait camera
- bad battery life
- no smooth scrolling (e.g. Chrome)
- bad wifi
- etc
The only ROM I can recommend (I'm using it) is MiuiMix. Based on MIUI(EU) with a few tweaks.
MiuiMiX_2.0_ginkgo_20.3.26_v11-9 Download: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261756420

Of course not. This is custom ROM based on MiuiEU.
The wifi issues are the worse for me. Pixel it has, and miui.eu (10/12) it has. Not before in miui.eu stable(9/11) but is not a smooth rom.

bugs reported are from v7.1 and 7.2
i'm using 7.3 for 1 months and never face anything wired
(i even installed xposed and all module are working fine, every other rom is not 100% compatible with gravitybox and other xposed modules ...)
the only feature that is missing is gesture anywhere and it would be a perfect rom
miui11 and 12 are straight piece of crap
ram usage is 2gb (out of 6gb) after many optimisation and debloating (not to mention that there are some app that can't be freezed/removed)
(my device is 6/128 and i don't use gapps)

I am well aware of that on stock miui thanks.
This question was about MiuiMix supposedly a custom rom without all the "phoning home" etc according to the poster I quoted ( @tweakradje ) so I was looking for confirmation from him since he is using it.

Question Better miui

Hello everyone! What is in your opinion best miui based rom? Cazanova, xiaomi.eu, miui mix?
xiaomi.eu. Best for daily usage. I also think it has best stability from all customs. Thats why ppl use it as daily rom.
One OS is the best

Notice:-
Casanova dev sold his device for urgent reasons , so maybe there won't be any more updates of casanova.

All MIUI based custom roms are essentially xiaomi.eu. There used to be two MIUI based custom roms built from scratch on china stock miui, other being MIROOM, which is no longer in development. So, now everything is just EU.
All other roms repacks EU with varied degree of debloating and minor scripting tweaks (most of which are outdated and doesn't work). Bit better performance that users feels is related to more free ram due to debloating.
So, best bet is use EU rom, debloat it as per your preference and use it with DSB to make it perfect! (this setup along with 'Magisk Hide' is sufficient for most users)
Cherry on top would be, use Adguard or similar app to remove ads.
My setup.....
Advanced users can leverage Root with LiteSetRW.zip and NikGapp's Debloater script to remove even more stock apps.
If you don't need root after debloating, you can copy DSB created magisk module files to their respective system location and unroot.
Other "custom/repacked" roms exists because advance setup requires bit of manual efforts and understanding of which apps to (NOT)debloat, else it can end up in bootloop (easily recoverable by flashing EU again). But once you figure out personalized one time setup, it would be better than every other custom rom and can be replicated in EU updates in 10mins!
